  1. Quite. Maybe some were thinking it's a sequel to Planescape.
  2. *reads comments below the review* This is hilarious. *takes popcorn*
  3. Seriously, I got my copy of the whole BG saga for $25, and it was all the way back in 2003. Add some modding to the eqation, and voila - superb game! BG:EE and BG2:EE can go "quack" themselves.
  4. Well, this thread made an unexpected turn, didn't it? Poor OP, must be pissed. If it will make you feel any better *I* didn't vote - probably because I'm no backer for Numenera, but hey, at least I tried. Democracy is a bitch.
  5. "Evil is evil. Lesser, greater, middling… makes no difference. The degree is arbitrary. The definition’s blurred. If I’m to choose between one evil and another, I’d rather not choose at all."
  6. Wait... it's completely devoid of VO? I thought it was just going to be limited. By this VO you mean Voice-Over? If so, I also heard that it will be limited to important dialogues/characters.
  7. Do we know for how long (years, centuries) the area has been being colonized before the PC shows up? Also, is my Present Perfect Continuous any good?
  8. I didn't want o start a new thread so I'll ask away here. In a few words, what do we know about character creation? Stats, perks, all the things you can pick, modify, customize, et cetera? Will there be some backgrounds to choose from for your PC, some history of *you* before the game starts?
  9. Ah, Stonehenge, one of the greatest henges in the world. Before Stonehenge there was Woodhenge and Strawhenge, but a big bad wolf came and blew them down and three little piggies were relocated to the projects.
  10. No no no, you've got it all wrong, per se. Here: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/per_se It's a thing that makes you feel like you are on a wikipedia of some sort. Hundreds of entries which are just not so legible at most, some being updated every now and then as the story goes, and it might be difficult to find the changes. I find the way of lore description in books more promising (BG style), and more accurate for a game like this. You want to read something, you read it - also you have to find it yourself. Yup, that guy was a slight exaggeration. - Excuse me, Sir, are you by any chance a planewalker? - Why yes I am, stranger. - Could you be so kind and explain the nature of planes to me, an arogant simpleton? - Naturally! Here is the whole thing...
  11. Frankly there is no such thing as vogue, just plain popularity of the masses. There are some people who like certain stuff more than the others, and companies that try to provide the product for a wider audience, thus making more profit out of it in the process. And it is the same scheme for any industry, everchanging with time. I had this vision of how Baldur's Gate would look like if BioWare would be making it in 2013... less locations because of game size (no countryside); locations trimmed of content ("a Melicamp? what's that?"); stroll from point A to point B; no walking into someone's house; ever lasting cinematic feel; dialogue circle (*yes*, *no*, *maybe*); gay romance with Minsc; Am no homophobic, but you get the picture.
  12. Ah, yes. Stoke that infernal wrath of yours. I can feel the anger within you, boiling like a pit of sulphur in the crevices of your heart. You feel it, do you not? The taint that surrounds your soul like a serpent, squeezing it, spreading its venom... that taint, that wrath exists in all of the children of Bhaal, but few know how to use it.
  13. Sensuki, that is exactly what I'm talking about: just recently one of such unreliable websites dropped the "3" out of the Dragon Age: Inquisition news; regardless to say that the devs stated long time ago this isn't the part three of the game. It's like calling Fallout: New Vegas as Fallout 4 ffs. But that's a different story - point is, people will be amazed with Pillars of Eternity either way.
  14. Yet I think there still will be a lot of people out there totally surprised. Check out some gaming websites that never ever used the word "Pillars" in any of their news, even as a speculation. Here it was a major discussion, but somehow there still are unaware fans yonder. Not everyone is reading this here fine forums, or updates for that matter. Pity.
  15. Forsooth, a blasphemy! Everyone knows that the Planck unit (h) is a physical constant of the quantum mechanics, and its value is approx 6.62606957(29)×10−34J·s 1) ! 1) In other words it means a value of 4.135667516(91)×10−15 eV·s.
  16. Fireworks! Yes, all's nice but this blue orb thingy around a character is tad overwhelming. But it's still "werk in prah-gress so don't go wha?"
  17. This reminds me of Autler1) so freaking much. Excited! Also the screenshots with the characters made my day. Again, crests FTW. 1) Autler was a pretty damn good scenario for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.
  18. Regarding the 2 character portraits... Please, don't tell me that Edair (?) will have this stalk of grass coming out from his mouth. Rednecky. EDIT: But I love the use of crests already!
  19. Exactly, Tarnesh is the Hogger (WoW) of Forgotten Realms What? Yes, you heard me, WoW. Don't judge me, I tried WoW once and it was terrible. Honestly, throwing a reasonably difficult oponents at the beginning of a story is a good thing. One should know that there is a dangerous world out there for badly prepared adventurer wannabes, so you better watch out.
  20. Yup, top openings. Icewind Dale Every single Fallout there is
  21. Dear Player, Your wizard has four hit points and an armour class of 6. The Gibberling does 1-6 damage per hit. Your spells are on cooldown. All my love, Baldur's Gate 1 Kelso, you want to add something?
