Of course it exists: http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Version with all necesarry links back. -
Edit finished quests.
Xaratas replied to qEin's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
qEin: For that you would need a savegame editor, the only which currently works is http://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity/mods/75/? But quests are not in its current feature set. -
Is 1.07 Mac App store only?
Xaratas replied to raquo's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
There was a second hotfix to 1.0.6 for mac only. On Steam was/ is no such problem. -
True to Form dialogue option missing.
Xaratas replied to qEin's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
In your Screenshot you are on this node: https://youtu.be/xjKFggR38ac?t=400 Its a few steps before the point where you get the chance to choose. (id 33), you can choose both gods, but Hiravias alignment dictates the path. You want to have the alignment to Wael greater or equal to that of Galawain. (Don't ask me how you do that specifically, but my quest editor can it show you https://xaratas.github.io/) The only way to the friendly end goes over this node: id 44: Scâthden blickt Hiravias grimmig an. „Und du glaubst, du kannst einfach weggehen?“ by choosing this reply: id 46: „Willst du dich wirklich nicht nur mit einem Herbst-Stelgaer messen, sondern auch mit jenen, die verrückt genug sind, sich mit ihm anzufreunden?“ -
Windows 10 - Game keeps crashing
Xaratas replied to ptjohns10's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Ptjohns, can you post your logfiles so the devs could have a look? Look in the stickies to find, where the needed logfiles are stored. -

Eternity Script location.
Xaratas replied to alexis13's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Oo, what do you mean? What scripts? The inner workings of the spells are encapsualted in the unity files. The scripts which trigger quests, questprogression and the like are in plain sight in the .conversation and .quest xml files. -
Faction Hit & Miss
Xaratas replied to Mereinid's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
You can not have a good reputation with all 3 Factions the same time. They don't like each other, so they don't give you work if they know you work for the others, and they will know it. You say you have started with the Dozens, so go to them, finish their quests until you can get the invitation for the hearing. The other factions need to wait for a later play through. -

PoE not starting at all on Linux
Xaratas replied to Crackerjack's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Um, Sking, sorry, but there is no DxDiag on Linux as there is no Direct X. Maybe you want something like 'glxgears -info'? @unhandyandy does the last lines of 'dmesg' list something related to PoE after a crash? -

PoE not starting at all on Linux
Xaratas replied to Crackerjack's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Try to start PoE from the game directory directly, without the start.sh wrapper. Its not needed and hides some error prints. -
Frequent and Random crashes to desktop
Xaratas replied to Blobber's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
If you get repeated file corruptions try the windows checkdisk. -
Game Crashes on Startup (Linux)
Xaratas replied to zivaljevic's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
The output log says some files are broken. Did you try a verify game files? Maybe you should run a checkdisk (fsck) via live cd. -
Crash on Startup
Xaratas replied to FooDaKill's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
fileVersion: 1.0.6.591 Your log says you haven't the latest hotfix. Try a verify game files with the steam client and then a update. 1.0.6.617 is current. -
Update: Version 0.2.9 https://xaratas.github.io/ New Features Editing of Conditions (click on the word). Select one out of a list of all conditions that the game understand. It updates the List of Parameters automatically. Each parameter name has a short description on hover. Sets of Values for all enumerated types. Help icons. On hover they show a description Fixed: Adding Comments and a non displaying Zero. Still there: Bad design, sorry about that, but haven't had time for this. Regarding the Conditions: Point 1: There is currently no validation of the input. If it shows a select box for a parameter than nothing can go wrong. If its a textbox then you are responsible for entering sane values. For example for the parameter “slot” the valid Values are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Sometimes the Values are noted in the helptext. For filenames and global variables you have to look up existing values. Its currently not possible with the editor to create own global variables. Point 2: The Operator is used to combine multiple conditions. The blue line should show, which conditions stand on the same level. These will be combined with the Operator on this level. Conditions can only end in Boolean values (true and false). Point 3: The small slider is there to invert the result of functions. It has effectively the role of a logical 'not'. This is for some functions useful which can not be inverted by a parameter, for example the 'is player race' function. Next: Scripts or add and delete for Conditions

POE Modding sites.....
Xaratas replied to qwert_44643's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
These big war on copyright, these over-boarding fear of stepping over some line. Arrrg. The music and motion picture industry has really won this war if people see always and at all places copyright infringements. There is common sense in the people. There is fair use. There is allowance of derived works if it has high enough value (Schöpfungshöhe in German). So maybe there are a few 4chan minded people with free time, its no reason not to try it. Obsidian has done quite a large amount of work to get this as mod friendly as possible (with regard to the images it is not), maybe out of necessarity, but all Stories, Quests, Conversations, Scripted Interactions lays out in plain text. Its sad that for anything graphic related one has to use the forbidden expensive unitiy editor. As far as assets go there is quite a large possibility space for modders to explore. With the use of C# as Language we have nearly sourcecode access, and with „a bit“ hard recoding in the ie-mod project there can be much archived. But someone has to do it. Someone who understands coding, or want it to learn out of free will an curiosity. These someones would i like to see attracted by a dedicated modding subforum. And go away with these stupid Valve monetarisation scheme. If its done for money its work and not fun. -
Oh, its easy to check it per item. Just open the detail description of the item and then find a few words of the description in the files. (use grep on mac/linux or xsearch on windows) Nearly all are distinctive enough (except the one priest spell which has for the medium and large stamina recovery version the same text id -.-).

Not wanting to be an alarmist but do these posts mean that if I run this game my computer/components could/will overheat and be harmed? If that is what could happen does anyone know how widespread it is so I can get an idea of how likely it is to affect me? To make it short: Cleaning dust (if any) from all fans and heatsinks (also from the power pack) helps alot. Modern PCs can not easily take damage from overheating because of the inbuild protection. The chips will throttle themself or issue a instant shutdown if they got to hot, but this is unlikly to occur there are very few (<3?) reports here in the forum.

Any way to hide cloaks/capes?
Xaratas replied to Dinky Dino's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Easy way: Play on Mac or Linux. -
Booth places sell the same, Gog has a verification process which makes the release of the windows patch about ~1/2 day later, and the mac patch ~1 day, give or take, linux patches aro only available as full image but there are excelent community unofficial patches. So thats the only difference, oh, the archivments only work with steam as gog has no archivements.
