The D&D character test!
I believe the age bracket question is what determines how high a level you are. Which is why you and I were higher-ish level than most others.

La neuvième art (comics you've been reading)
Started reading the New 52. Picked up the first four editions (0-3) and have only read the first so far. Pretty good, I hadnt read the SHAZAM origin before so that was all new to me. As an aside, I know I havent read comics in ~20 years, but when the hell did they start costing $2.99-$3.99 each? I realize its not a lot but I cant help but feel a bit snookered every time I press the purchase button.

This is why we can't have nice things
Do you think this is a significant enough amount of people to make them care? IMO, most people probably dont care, its only we hard core nerds that even notice. And even out of us its a small fraction that is bothered enough to actually not buy the product.

La neuvième art (comics you've been reading)
Bought a digital collection of the first 6 editions of Astonishing X-Men. The Marvel app offers the first 24 episodes in four 6 episode collections so Ill pick those up too as I work my way through. I also need to download the DC app.

Update #50: So... Project Eternity!
I agree that at the end of the day that's whats important but for me, how I get from A to Z (and how painful it is) is a big influence to my enjoyment. I fully expect a great story, engaging NPC's and beautiful graphics, but since Im going to be pummeled into submission by the bread and butter mechanics I have a strong suspicion that my enjoyment wont be everything it could have been. I hope Im wrong.

Update #50: So... Project Eternity!
I feel its misleading because of the reasons you describe above. It so nebulous, so open to interpretation, that's its virtually meaningless. Its a carefully constructed term designed to evoke positive responses yet leave so much wiggle room as to not mean anything. I didn't expect the same mechanics because Obsidian doesn't have the DnD license, but I also didn't expect for most mechanics to have a random turd (a "twist" specifically designed to discourage use) attached to each either. So, for me, "spiritual successor" just turned into throwing $52 bucks in the toilet. No biggie, but lesson learned.

Update #50: So... Project Eternity!
I find "spiritual successor" to be a misleading term. I mean, (almost) all quality RPG's offer party members, (almost) all quality RPG's try to tell a strong story and (almost) all quality RPG's have an engaging combat system. So if you gut (almost) every single mechanic and remake them, what does P:E bring to the table from previous IE games? From what I can tell, only the isometric view. This is also being done in Shadowrun Returns and Divinity. Are they now "spiritual successors" to the IE lineage?

What should a female breastplate really look like
^I agree. They should go full on Ivy Valentine.

Divinity: Original Sin Kickstarter
So you haven't donated yet? Heh, the game looks interesting but I feel a bit burned from the last two kickstarts Ive donated to so Ill probably wait until release, read the reviews, and then pick up the $25 digital version. @IndiraLightfoot: I don't get it, can you please clarify?

That dude looks like Tommy Lee Jones in a wig. That almost made me donate right there!

Im following you now. Yeah, the Hulk had already defeated The Avengers, The Fantastic Four and various solo superheroes before he took on Sentry so he was already at max rage and growing. Superman also has no upper limit, right? Doesn't he just continuously gain in power as long as he is exposed to a yellow sun or has he been depowered a bit at this point? I wonder who would win in a battle between Hulk and Superman.

Hmm, maybe I should go back and reread the fifth comic in the series because I thought he did unleash his full power on the Hulk. Even going so far as to say (paraphrasing); "so this is what it feels like to finally let go". I agree about his inaction, it made me laugh that he spent 29 hours standing in his doorway trying to decide to get involved or not.

Why do you feel Sentry can be damaged by his own powers? I don't recall anything like that being suggested in the WWH series. In fact, he was unleashing so much energy he was about to destroy Manhattan before Hulk knocked him out. Or are you saying he expended so much energy that he was "spent" and reverted to his normal form?

A two-dimensional reputation system
Isnt this the same thing as the "Tides" in ToN? (scroll down to "What are the Tides")

Already fought him to a stalemate. Sentry. Its not me calling him the most powerful, that's what he was referred to in the World War Hulk series, possessing the "power of one million exploding suns". Really felt like a "jump the shark" moment when Hulk defeated Sentry in the comic.

What's going on in Boston?
I have doubts that there was some sinister plot to maim instead of kill. From what Ive seen so far they were fairly simple devices, in this case pressure cookers packed with gunpowder, nails and BB's.

I just had the Hulk ruined for me for the same reason. I recently read the World War Hulk series and by the end of that the Hulk single handedly defeats the most powerful being in the Marvel universe, Sentry.
