  1. IIRC, there's something about not being able to loot bodies either.
  2. Agreed, I hope they nail it. They are probably only going to get one bite at this apple and if its poorly received because of too much "vision" and not enough fun...
  3. What does "8-6 reps" mean? I get the weight and I get the sets but I cant puzzle out the reps.
  4. I never said it was wrong for them to have money but its different because their sources of income were not optional to the payer as they are when a person purchases a product or service.
  5. Youre the one that brought up ethics. My whole point is that the monarchy is a product of the people and at the end of the day the "people" should own the public holdings that they themselves provided to the monarchy.
  6. You agree that name dropping positively influenced the sales but feel its peoples fault for getting sucked in by that practice? The onus is on the company selling the product to be clear to the buyers and, imo, that was not the case here and they absolutely knew what invoking those game titles would mean to people. Nobody expected a clone (they don't have the D&D license) but I think people expected a close approximation (like they are doing with several mechanics already).
  7. Its a good thing you did, I would have just besmirched that lofty title with some hooker scandal.
  8. We'll never know but I don't think they would have sniffed anywhere near 4 million without name dropping the IE games. Similar for inExile and the Torment branding.
  9. IMO, it does matter. Until recently, the monarchy is the law of the land. You could literally have been killed for not paying your taxes. Business's are private enterprises that are forced to work under the laws of the land and earn money by providing . True dat.

  11. Unless Ive missed some subtlety you seem to be repeating yourself so perhaps I need to restate my opinion. What Im saying is that the monarchy is a product of the people it represents and has created wealth via the taxes of its citizens. Private wealth is earned differently and liking the method is immaterial. As such, imo, the monarchy shouldn't "own" anything, it should belong to "the people".
  12. Im not interested in arguing that the monarchy should be disbanded, only in the comparisons to other wealthy families. The stark difference being everyone else "earned" it, while they commanded it. And the less fortunate can suck it.
  13. The difference being the "really rich families" didn't amass their fortunes through taxation.
  14. Werent all of their land holdings and palaces originally financed by the people? Or they used their own personal fortune to build Buckingham palace?
  15. Only if the monkey and lamb can romance each other. It shall be known as Forbidden Wool.
  16. When does it go live, midnight tonight US Pacific time?
  17. I think you are right. Bummer, I got a bit excited at the thought of 16 joinable NPC's, each with personality.
  18. You can create those hirelings by yourself and they probably don't have much of reactivity towards anything, in other words they are mute party members that do what you command, if I have understood correctly. I was referring to this: I read this as there being 16 Obsidian provided joinable NPC's and that the eight hirelings are not Adventurer Hall products. Have I misunderstood?
  19. Whats the difference between companions and hired adventurers? Only that players will have to pay the hirelings?
  20. I believe its been stated that one of the ways to acquire new spells is to learn/scribe/steal them from vanquished mages grimoire's.
  21. Spoilsport. It was fun watching them pretend you could only learn the game by playing it.
  22. Hell, even Ive written and been published.* *In a technical trade magazine, lol.
  23. That would be awesome if there was a build that replenishes Health. We can call it the Napper.
  24. I think Valve removed that obligation with one of the license updates, once they realized that with millions of users with a hundred or so games each that'd mean bankrupting their family up to and including grandchildren. How so?
