  1. Beautiful. Im impressed with the amount of detail I can see on the characters.
  2. Just remember, you lose a party member and they are gone forever. You will have to replace them with a NPC from the Adventurers Hall and they wont have banter/quests/personality.
  3. That's how I remember DA, no real death unless the whole party is defeated. But are you sure you can't die in PE, that concerns me IIRC, death in PE only occurs with certain option boxes checked, otherwise you take a knee except in cases of a TPW. I know Ironman offers permadeath and only 1 save that will self delete but I think the one setting down from that (Trial of Iron?) also offers death but you can reload. There is no resurrection magic in PE so death is permanent.
  4. Again, never played the DA franchise, but didn't health used to autoregen after each encounter and you couldn't really die (just take a knee), like they are now doing in PE? I wonder why they changed that model. Can you die now in DA?
  5. I know what its called, I'm just wondering what caused it, never had speed wobble before. Since you felt it was a mechanical problem I assumed you weren't aware of the phenomenon. Simply clicking those two underlined words will provide you with various causes.
  6. Since we have unlimited inventory, I vote for an auto loot system that just sucks up everything thing around you as you walk past it.
  7. Disabilities, like Health loss, can only be repaired by resting. You cant critically miss either.
  8. That's called a speed wobble.
  9. There is no resurrection in PE at all. In normal mode you cant die. When you get to zero health you will just take a knee and when the battle is over you will pop tall but with some disability.
  10. Having to constantly switch weapons is a founding principal of PE combat. An entire mechanic has been created to play rock/paper/scissor regarding weapon type vs. armor type.
  11. Stamina is in a constant state of regeneration anyway so we can probably just stand that party member in the corner for a few rounds after the "crash" and all will be well, bad guys permitting. And Morgulon the Wise makes a good point, a up-and-fighting NPC is more important.
  12. I needed external motivation. I loved smoking but Im not getting any younger and I want to be around to watch my daughter grow up. Looking back Im glad I did, but if not for her I would most likely never quit.
  13. I quit cold turkey ~4 years ago.
  14. Playing SRR, this has become a sore spot for me. According to HBS, saving anywhere is expensive and time consuming so I would advocate for Obsidian to create and install the save game mechanic first and foremost before their coffers go dry. A 20-30 hour game using the SRR save system is libel to send me on a tri-state destruction spree.
  15. Wasn't DA2 a product of "data mining" DAO? Or am I thinking of the ME series?
  16. I put on my robe and wizard hat....whoops, wrong thread. Seriously though, I like the concept of a "lost and confused" opening sequence.
  17. And to really rub it in, its usually a girlfriend of his. /jealousy
  18. Ah, so your analysis is "you don't like it". Cool. I judge a lot of things the same way. I disagree that its the same because in the IE games you could die and earn nothing for the encounter. You cant die in PE so presumably everyone will earn the same xp at the same rate. At the end of the game I don't want my mage 2 levels behind my fighter because they have different tables and my mage will never be afforded the opportunity to reach maximum potential. If every class can reach max level by the end of the game then I don't care which system is used.
  19. Yours is the Doberman?
  20. Could you clarify this point? Since quest XP has been foisted upon us to prevent people from farming the non-respawning mooks, everyone everywhere will receive the same xp rewards regardless of their actions within the party. As an example, why should the fighter advance faster than the mage?
  21. Good luck on your test. Two of my friends have switched from real smokes to e-cigarettes and both made the same nicotine level mistake as you. One of them was a three pack a day smoker and tried the 24mg liquid and said he almost threw up. Grats on quitting too.
  22. With no other option for accruing experience other than the completion of quests (meaning every party member will receive the exact same lump sum), it would be unfair and break my verisimilitude to have some party member lagging behind others. Why should one class advance when everyone in the party received the same exact XP reward?
  23. For PE, all classes should use the same experience table and the entire party should level at the same instance.
