  1. You get it from one of the stronghold quests: I tried to make her go to rehab; she said, "No, no, no."
  2. Jac, what do you mean exactly by its status? It's been out for about a week; only a few new bugs have been reported since then, as most new tickets I've seen were for 3.01. Patch notes should be available in a day or two. No word on when the patch will go live officially for everyone.
  3. Can you upload a saved game and output log for QA's convenience? It'll help them identify the root cause of the bug.
  4. ^ I would report the Reckless Assault thing just in case; better put it on their radar sooner rather than later if it's not intended.
  5. Got this many, many times. Could never figure out what triggered it. After a while, everyone in the game starts showing up as "Barely Injured" for no apparent reason.
  6. No need; it's been reported a thousand times over Should be fixed in 3.02
  7. Not "meh" in terms of practical effects; "meh" because it's so vanilla and already available to you via enchanting. Soulbound weapons are meant to be special, as in, more special than unique weapons. Destroy Vessels is the Redeemer's endgame; if you change it to a bland Slaying (Vessels), the sword becomes really uninteresting. Changing it to something else entirely would be fine by me; I'm not particularly tied to that specific ability. But it would have to be something cool, not a Slaying/Lash/Stat bonus that you can already get via enchanting. Heck, Tidefall is a way better sword against any other enemy type already; let's give the Redeemer some love
  8. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Select Edér; observe he has the "Take the Hit" modal ability, which should redirect 50% of the damage taken by an ally as Raw damage to him. Use the console to set the protagonist's PER to 300 to ensure she crits; also set Edér INT to 30 (not 300) to increase Take the Hit's AoE. Send someone in to look for trouble with the Eyeless (Pallegina, perhaps after boosting her RES via console so she can stay alive long enough for you to test.) Use the protagonist to attack Aloth. Check the combat log and observe that damage is redirected to Edér as Pierce, rather than Raw: Now use the protagonist to hit Edér once; this will trigger his Triggered Immunity ability and make him immune to Pierce damage. Hit Aloth and keep an eye on the combat log; observe Edér is still taking Pierce damage from Take the Hit despite being allegedly immune to it. "Might be just a cosmetic bug." say you. "Log says it's Pierce but it really is Raw." Reload the save and repeat the steps until before entering combat. Set Aloth's PER to 300 to ensure he crits. Enter combat and have Aloth cast Ninagauth's Killing Bolt on Edér. This will make Edér immune to Raw damage. Now use the protagonist to attack Aloth. Observe Edér is still taking Pierce damage from Take the Hit, which means the issue isn't just cosmetic; had the damage been Raw, Edér would have been immune to it.
  9. To say nothing of Amaia's Codex, which lies comfortably in your pet slot! Would test Confident Aim with spells but I don't have the ability on my current play through and I'm busy testing another build. Wording for the ability suggests it should work globally, however.
  10. It would also make it a terribly bland weapon that isn't worth using in any case. At least right now it's situational: Best weapon against Vessels. If you take that out, it's just another sword with good looks and meh abilities. What could be done is flag Woedica's Judges in the final fight as not killable through Destroy Vessels (suffice to make them level-17 creatures.) It does seem overkill to have two weapons at your disposal that can one-shot the Eyeless—then again I also expected the Eyeless to be higher than level 12. With that said, I didn't use the Redeemer against them despite having it fully unlocked in my last play through because I couldn't be arsed to equip it.
  11. The reason I didn't consider it is that while the Glass Tsunami was built around soloing, the Lady of Pain was born with a full party in mind. When you solo, you need abilities like Unbroken a lot more since all fire is constantly focused on you. If one were to solo with the Glass of Pain, they might indeed get more mileage out of Unbroken than out of, say, Critical Defense. Same goes for Vigorous Defense vs. Confident Aim. Can do. The difference is just 3 points and, in terms of Accuracy, they really aren't going to make that much of a difference for this build. At higher levels, a fully buffed Lady of Pain has Accuracy north of 140 and giving up 3 points from it to gain 12% extra duration from abilities is a fair deal. This could be as easy as to simply swap the +3 resting bonus from Caed Nua from PER to INT—or you could start with a base score 3 points higher in INT and 3 points lower in PER if you wanted the higher INT from the very beginning. I always take both as they stack and I'm a sucker for damage The reason I didn't go for those (besides the fact that I generally give them to my Priest) is that the LoP already gets +3 DEX from Ring of Thorns, which comes packed with a handy +5 Reflex and bonus defense while Stuck or Prone. I could use the +4 DEX boots and free up a ring slot, but there aren't rings that would get me half as much mileage; Frythr's Plated Greaves, on the other hand, give that bonus to DR that is functional to the whole "take minimum damage and regenerate" concept
  12. I could try to do it this weekend if nobody else steps up before then, but no promises. If you have a build out that is currently viable, please PM me with the following information: Build name Build class(es) Link to the relevant thread Brief (one or two lines) description of what the build does and what its role is Whether the build uses any equipment from PX1 or PX2 Whether the build is viable for solo play The first draft I do is going to have only builds that were PMed to me this way. If you know of a build that is viable, but its author is no longer around, feel free to submit it in their stead.
  13. By the way, Brian—if I accidentally hotkey some ability, is there a way to undo it? I generally do without hotkeys altogether.
  14. I have a sneaky suspicion, but I won't say it out loud because I so hope I'm wrong
  15. 50% additive is probably a smaller boost than you'd think. Did you try to calculate the minimum expected crit damage with Sabra Marie and test if you ever crit below that number?
  16. It's actually working as intended; it gives a +50% additive crit damage bonus. The bug report was a false alarm based on the assumption that the bonus would be multiplicative.
  17. That's the issue, then. Remove the boots and all will be fine The boots should be fixed in 3.02.
  18. I have no magic formula for that, I'm afraid. So far I've just been lucky and found the gauntlets randomly (last time it was in Durgan's Battery); if all else failed, I'd just use the console and call it a day.
  19. Brilliant! Thanks, aartz. Does that mean there's going to be a 3.03 afterward? In the meanwhile I've updated the relevant thread as it seems that Lavender Wreath behaves the same (though it's probably one of those cases where fixing the bug for one item fixes it globally.)
