  1. Good and Evil is all about perception. In some cultures fluffy kittens are considered evil spirits, and it's righteous to utterly destroy them. I think as long as different choices are available that pertain to customs for the different cultures, and going against said cultures, everything would be just peachy.
  2. What if the town disrespects you. Are you gonna just take that bs???? NO! Summon Daemon in the middle of town! Seriously though, let people roleplay murderers who commit genocide to towns if they want. You'd better have some skill and/or backup though. And if you think it's puerile well you don't have to do it. But please don't deny us miscreants who would love it. Who hasn't murdered entire towns in Fable? Good times...
  3. If they designed 15 already and it only hits 14 I'd throw in the fifteenth secretly and make it hard to find the entrance to it. Like a secret super boss.
  4. Yup that's my class too. But I'm on an x-com binge right now...the suspense!!
  5. I don't care if it takes 5 years, just make it awesome!
  6. Generally wherever a visa credit card is accepted, a visa debit card is also accepted. (Or other companies AFAIK)
  7. There's always going to be some form of: "It's just a game" involved so it's not a tedious affair. The stamina/health is an interesting system, one I've never experienced personally. But I have faith they won't make it to a point where every battle has you down for 3 weeks because of a simple sword slash. They will find a balance.
  8. You shouldn't try to stop people from reloading saves, or make decisions about game mechanics with this intent. People will cheat/mod/save whatever, it's their game let them! If someone gets more joy out of loading and loading it until it's what they want then so be it, why should we stop them? It doesn't hurt people who don't want to play that way, its a choice. Case in point - X-Com You can play ironman mode yourself if you want without turning it on if you have some discipline. Or you can save after each move to ensure a perfect campaign where no one dies. Or somewhere in between. But the game isn't designed to limit your reloading to get the best outcome, it says: "Yeah man go ahead, have fun". It doesn't hurt anyone who doesn't want this. The OP says: "But most games I've played completely lacks an incentive for accepting a bad roll of the dice. There are ways around it, but while a bit of randomness in combat makes it less predictable and more fun, I think it's a mistake in non-combat situations." The incentive for sticking with a bad roll is it makes your victories more meaningful, there shouldn't be some other in-game reward or incentive. Don't take out randomness in non-combat scenarios to limit the amount of saving/reloading. Some people like to stick with their bad decisions even if they could reload. Basically: People like to cheat, if you don't like to cheat then don't, but don't stop others from having fun in a single-player game.
  9. How do you guys feel? I'd like to do it Morrowind style, where if you kill someone essential...well that's it. I don't like the Skyrim method of getting knocked out.
  10. They will probably be filler npcs, but with that many being designed I'd imagine some will have side quests and fuller back stories. Maybe the best designs?
  11. Fantastic news! This game is gonna be epic, they really have their work cut out for them now lol. Thinking about the wait...yeah I think I'll throw in another 25 for beta access. So add 25 more dollars! Hooray!!!
  12. How will health be regenerated then? I hope not automatically... If health auto-regens that changes my entire opinion of this game.
  13. I'd love to have gardening...I'm just weird like that I suppose. Just crafting in general is pretty cool to me.
  14. I'd like to have the map and journal and quest log all open on a seperate monitor. But it's not a big deal if it's not.
  15. If there's a neromancer sub class or something I could see the ultimate spell transforming yourself into a lich. It should be a long ass quest though to get it, something really special.
  16. You will all be remembered....
  17. I like the witcher's way of potions. But make sure you include ways to get information about upcoming encounters to properly prepare or it turns into a guessing game.
  18. It's always been my fantasy to smoke a joint in a fantasy rpg game.
  19. Personally, I think they should hire Skrillex to score the entire game.
  20. Didn't the team already say the reason they are not doing multiplayer/consoles is they want to make an epic single player pc experience and they don't want to detract from it by spending time/money on these things. Save up for a couple years and get a cheap pc, this game requirements probably won't be that high.
  21. Speaking more on this.... I've recently been playing X-Com on ironman mode. It doesn't offer anything extra, better loot, and gives you a hell of a lot more frustration at your own stupidity. It's also made the game incredibly more meaningfull and I'm enjoying it quite a bit more. Tense moments are TENSE now...and victorys with no wound are oh-so-much sweeter. That's enough of a reward for me. I think offering rewards that help your character in-game would eliminate the point of choosing a harder difficulty. It would be like buffing everyone. Maybe have an achievement or an alternate title screen if you beat it on super hard, that doesn't hurt anyone and looks cool. Remember Mario Kart 64? If you got all gold trophies on every CC including reverse the title screen changed to a way cooler one featuring Donkey Kong! Ahhh...memories. Well back to save the world, lost 2 good members last night....they will be rememberd.
