Obamacare Guarantees Higher Insurance Premiums
PK htiw klaw eriF replied to Gfted1's topic in Way Off-Topic
I don't think UHC is impossible due to population size, I think it is impossible due to organizational problems in federal, state, and local government and a certain political groups. Now, if the government became more consolidated(more uniform rules between states) and that certain group falls out of favor, then maybe it could happen assuming insurance companies couldn't successfully lobby against it. -
Rum, vodka, whiskey, and gin. Going to grab a sammich or something later.

Semper Paratus I don't think anything can prepare one for reading about a cave woman ****ing a raptor.

I don't know what is worse, that this was written or that someone posted it here where I could stumble on it unprepared.

AoS has been pretty great. I'm thinking that the Rising Tide ends up being a front for HYDRA.

Obamacare Guarantees Higher Insurance Premiums
PK htiw klaw eriF replied to Gfted1's topic in Way Off-Topic
Perhaps, I'm overly cynical, but I think that the shutdown may have more to do with playing politics than serving the cartel. Looking at rhetoric used by certain groups, they believe that a government shutdown is a good thing, and so certain politicians will do so in order to avoid primary challenges and/or they intend to run for higher offices and want support. -

I read the title as "Obamacare guarantees government shutdown", which I suppose is true now. -
Currently downloading FONV and watching Lars and the Real Girl. Anyone have suggestions for mods?

Depending on what you mean by regularly, well... you can do that without a missus. I would say you're using too much rum, but I'm currently drinking vodka out of a bottle so I don't think I can talk.

Wals, is that from 2000AD?

Not really what I was expecting, but I'm still intrigued. Perhaps my Paladin will pick up a Cipher companion.- 201 replies

GD, I find your excessive happiness unsettling. Currently haven't eaten anything today, might grab a sammich later on.

I don't think I will require it for either the nap or (hopefully) getting intimate. Then again, she could be crazy...

While I doubt I will pick this up until it goes on sale, it does look worthwhile if it can be patched into a stable form. Also, it seems Oby would make a terrible history professor.

Hey hooking up with an ex sometimes leads to pretty good stuff. But not if they're nuts! I disagree, hooking up with a crazy ex can make for an interesting weekend.

No such thing as evil - top trumped

While I agree with the thrust of your post, I'll pick out the points I'm interested in discussing. I would tweak this to be a mixture of both selfishness and either disdain or apathy. While I think that everyone has a dose of self-interest(and therefore selfishness), I believe that it requires the ability to not be affected by(or even reveling in) the suffering of others to be considered evil. I would agree that empathy could not be instilled into one incapable of feeling it, such as a psychopath, but I would argue that it is possible to encourage people who are capable of feeling empathy to utilize it more, essentially a reverse of how some people are taught to utilize it less. As I'm not a biologist, I can't accurately comment about bio-chemical induced apathy, but as a layman, I would think that it could be possible to find early signs of bio-chemical induced apathy and treat it.- 199 replies

That sounds like a girl I dated Wals. Last I checked, she ruined her hair and looked much too thin. I'm about to head to class, going to eat something quick.
