  1. I would love more one-on-one battles, but sometimes I like those huge fights where the corpses pile up and I have to mouse over a pile a couple times to make sure I get everything.
  2. Didn't we already have a thread on this? Anyways, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't mind it. If I think there's a chance I might blow my party up, I'll save beforehand, but I'd still like the option to turn it off.
  3. AA, AF, and resolution are more important to frame rate. Isometric RPGs have a lower tolerance threshold for people than an action orientated game like a FPS. If you can run Skyrim then you should be able to run Project Eternity at the same resolution. Okay, yeah, I figured that. When it comes to system requirements I'm just so paranoid! If there's one point in favour of consoles, it's that I don't have to obsess over whether my machine can run it or not if the game has the right label on the box.
  4. I don't care, as long as they're awesome. Make them awesome, Obsidian!
  5. I'd much rather they port Dragon's Dogma to PC. Problem solved!
  6. I don't know anything about psionics (I gather they're....like this class, only they came first) but this class sounds cool enough that I want my first character to be one!
  7. My computer's like, three years old now, I don't see myself getting a new one, and it runs DA:O, DA II, Skyrim (on high with a bit of slowdown), all the Mass Effect games, Witcher 2, and apparently (if system requirements lab is accurate) Torchlight 2 is a cakewalk. I'd assume I'd be able to run this, but that's what I said about Dishonored and I can't run it (not enough RAM). Still, it's not like this will have cutting edge photo-realistic 3D graphics, right?
  8. I know! I know! Wait until the protagonist's asleep, then magically encase the phylactery in their flesh, that way, suicide would be the only option if they want to defeat you! Unless you can only be a certain distance away from it. In that case, you're screwed.
  9. I don't even drink so I don't care whether someone likes red wine or white wine or whatever. Oh wait, is this still an analogy? In that case, I like that Obsidian is planning on making the best red wine ever, but I don't expect it to be an exact clone of classic red wines. I want it to take the best of the classic red wines and give it their own twist.
  10. DO WANT CIPHER CLASS! Also, I LOVE that the classes are distinct enough that I know what each one does but flexible enough to allow for some innovation (mages wearing armor, for instance). Also, I usually stick with the "core four" but if we get that stretch goal, I think I'm going to have to make a Cipher.
  11. My Kobo ereader does not like PDFs, but I don't mind quitting the game (or just pressing the "Start" button) to consult the guide when I need it. EPUB would be great, though.
  12. Uh oh, for some reason my Windows Media Player won't play the files! I've made sure the box next to .WAV under supported files is checked, WMP is apparently up to date. What gives?
  13. I hear you, OP, I hear you. There will always be people who declare the game is RUINED FOREVER! because they aren't making PE into an exact clone of their favourite IE game. Personally, I think everyone needs to (as the elves say) chillax and trust that Obsidian will manage to make a great game regardless of cooldowns or level-scaling or whatever....
  14. I don't know of any CRPGs that did it, although an early quest in PS:T involved a box with a demon inside it that apparently showed up later in the game. (Note to self: Start playing that game again.) I really liked how this was implemented in The Witcher, consequences weren't apparent until later and no choice was ever completely the "right" one.
  15. I don't mind it, but oftentimes when I play games with logs I eventually want to minimize them, especially when I've already fought the same enemy ten times already.
  16. I like this idea! I like to save my strong spells for bosses, so this way there would be more incentive for me to save my stronger spells/use spells sparingly.
  17. I'd say it was a combination of PS:T and the fact that it's an original IP that's not D&D based that sold me on it. Oh and a bit of TOEE too, because I just started playing it.
  18. Personally, I don't want rogues that look like this: This is Alyn Shir from Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I like her as a character, but seriously, she's wearing nothing but belts! I know dark elves were created to be the fanservice race, but this is just....*facepalms*.
  19. Thanks for including the strategy guide add-on! I was flip=flopping between the digital-only tier and the one with the box, now I can have my cake and eat it too!
  20. Well, you know what they say: the bigger they are, the harder they fall. I don't see any reason why some monsters shouldn't be bigger than others. Yes to this!
  21. I voted no. I don't need special abilities right at the start (especially considering what we know about the game, if your character is just an ordinary person who witnessed an extraordinary event). I played my first Skyrim character like that--she was just an average mage who just wanted to help people--then the Dark Brotherhood happened, then Molag Bal, and then some Forsworn killed her horse, so she snapped and killed them all. I'm assuming characters will have special racial traits and gain new abilities as time goes on, but I don't need them RIGHT THIS INSTANT!
  22. I've played Divine Divinity and even Divinity: Ego Draconis. The first was a good game with some interesting ideas, the second... well, it was disappointing to say the least. I saw the ads for Ego Draconis and I was like "Wait, what happened to Beyond Divinity? I didn't think it was so bad that it suddenly dropped out of existence. I have Divine Divinity somewhere, I should try playing it again.
