  1. Usually it's just a minor nuisance. Where it becomes an annoyance is with assigning characters an opponent to attack, then having the character take the long way completely around the battlefield in order to reach the target, passing through multiple engagement zones in the process. It has proven less of a problem when I switch to a three melee/three ranged attack formation.
  2. I have no issue with the companion builds; they are what they are, and if they're not completely optimized to your liking then just consider it a challenge to take advantage of their strengths and manage their weaknesses.
  3. That's pretty much what I'm expecting; it'll become a modding highlight.
  4. I'd like to let my pet collection wander loose around Brighthollow. Having a few animancy servants to perform various tasks would be a nice touch; not necessarily for conversation, but just to add a little "life" to the place. I also wish they'd move the goods chest next to the resting spot.
  5. I think a key point there is that the supposed total is higher than what they received from the Kickstarter campaign. That would make it a success in my book.
  6. Au contraire mon ami, there is not nearly enough voice acting. It's like a sweet swig of spring water in a dry desert of text.
  7. Somebody accidentally discharged their weapon, reloaded, then accidentally discharged it again?
  8. The Stronghold gives some information in terms of a turn number. Does anybody know what this means? Is it 100 millifortnights?
  9. I didn't always find Jon Stewart's humor agreeable. On occasion he could be down right offensive and tasteless. That's just the nature of humor. American humor doesn't always translate well, so it may not necessarily fl;y overseas.
  10. Since the release I've been trying to avoid the steaming negativity threads because they won't improve my enjoyment of the game one iota. Bug posts are great; nit picking whines over unfulfilled personal preferences... not so much.
  11. Higher level play usually involves travel to where the challenges are located. I'd love to see some type of connection back to where the game started. Perhaps move the stronghold to a pocket plane with a dimensional portal.
  12. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It's not perfect, but the positives heavily outweigh the negatives. With a couple of patches and a little fine tuning, it'll be well worth a replay. For me it's a solid RPG GoTY candidate.
  13. I experienced a weird little issue where the number of lock picks seemed to multiply when I tried to stack them. It's difficult to reproduce though. Has anybody else run into this? I am a little surprised that like items such as lock picks and potions don't auto-stack in a character's pack.
  14. I ran into the same bug and worked around it the same way. The impassible part is just the strip of floor that is covered by the closed door.
  15. The new spin-off is being called Fear the Walking Dead. Is there an award for the most inane title of the year?
  16. Yes, hiding (or relocating) the completed quests would be good. Here's a few suggestions of my own: The store filters only disable entries, when they should hide them. There should also be a 'Show everything' icon. It would be helpful if it were made more obvious where you go to rest in Brighthollow. Whenever I rest, I'd like to have the option to sleep through to the following morning. Thank you.
  17. Yes, communication was a major problem. It didn't come off well and I suspect it probably dissuaded many potential contributors.
  18. I've enjoyed it, but I lost interest after a while. I'll give it another try later on. The humor seems a little bit dorky, but it's okay.
  19. I like to think that the reason Fantasy and Star Wars are so popular is the variety of ways you can tackle problems with different character builds. The presence of Magic (or its equivalent: the Force) is a big reason for this; the different magic types make combat and other gaming elements more diverse and challenging. You see a similar thing in the Mass Effect series, where you can build based on biotics, robotics, stealth, and/or weapons combos. I'd like a future title, whatever the genre, to include this type of character build diversity.
  20. Was there supposed to be an e-mail notification of this? I never received one. Possibly there are at least three people out there who still don't know...
