They're back up now. Apparently the server crashed and had to be replaced.- The Funny Things Thread

Yes, I've never liked playing them as a class. Even an optimized monk character seems to need constant healing and is very limited until high levels. The monk in PoE was a worthy effort to address their weaknesses, but I found I still don't much like the class during play. I think I would have preferred some sort of battle mage instead; one specializing in unarmored combat by adopting, say, a Pankration style mixed with magical protections to help soak up the damage.- The Funny Things Thread

I fixed it. And there is really no other way to be precise and graphical. No you haven't. If your favorite class is in the third question, you still have to answer the second. Ergo the result is not valid.- Welcome home!
Now it's the Biowere community. Nyuk-nyuk...- NWN1 vs NWN2
I disliked NWN at first because of the lack of party control, but kept playing it up until HotU, at which point I lost interest. NWN2 was a big improvement. The original campaign (OC) had some bright moments, and some tiresome content. I learned to enjoyed NWN2 because of the module building capability, and later the small but dedicated modding community. It remains probably the best D&D-based module building system around, although there are some NWN module builders who find that debatable.- Class popularity
This poll is broken, so I'm skipping it.- Remaster?
Not to mention fixes for some long-standing bugs.- The Funny Things Thread

Ah. I figured the site was taken down by either the Codex or that spotty-faced kid living in his Mom's basement. Thanks.- RPGWatch Web Site

- JOSH SAWYER REGRETS: Hard counters, sillier companions, and more
A big part of what I found enjoyable was that PoE took itself seriously. Inserting silly characters is pointless without providing a suitable rationale for why they are silly. I found Hiravias a bit silly at times, but it was done in a completely acceptable manner.- Gamescom talk - Josh needs help
These days I think that five party members is just about right for a fantasy RPG; it gives you the four classic character types, plus an extra character to weight the mix in your preferred direction. Six character parties and their followers start to turn into a mob, while four character parties severely limit you tactically. I'd also prefer to have fewer, but better developed companions.- 3.04? Update on our next patch
Yes, I've been seeing the same pathfinding issues you mention. It's a big distraction when I'm trying to focus on combat. It's not a consistent thing though; at least, I don't get this glitch. I may have had it once or twice, but if I did it was so infrequent that I can't recall for sure if I did. The Goldpact Knight in the Stronghold does quite consistently do this do (or something like it), after you build the Forum I think. Possibly it's related to the type of tactics you employ. Prior to combat I tend to use terrain to anchor one side of the formation, and there the walkpathing issues tend to appear in the back line. But yes it is infrequent, albeit immersion breaking.Account
