  1. im playing Divinity original sin. i had started it when i first came out, but due to delayed patches from gog and the mess i made with the skills i left it for later. there are 3 things that i would have done differently in this game 1. i would allow only 1 food buff to be in effect and make it last for a long time. i find it annoying and often useless to spend AP during a battle to eat an applepie for a 3 round buff 2. that rock-paper-scisors thing is not good. i had 6 reason vs someone's 3 reason. i had to win that minigame 2 times to win the argument, he had to win 5... he won 5 in a row. how i would have made it? i have reason 6, intimidate 5, charm 5 and use reason. if his reason is 7+ he can use it and win if his reason is 6 and uses it, we go to the minigame if his reason is 5- he cant debate me and has to use charm or intimidate if what he uses of the 2 is 6+, we go to the minigame if it is 5-, i win 3. they have tabs for inventory items and that is good, however sometimes i need to use a knife on a potato and the 2 are in different tabs so i have to search the "ALL" tab for the 2 items. they could have made it possible to select multiple tabs or at least show weapons than can be used in crafting (like knives) in the ingredients tab for the rest, it runs smoothly, i ve seen no bugs so far and is fun to play
  2. probably means a person who will have sex with everything that can be defined as a living being regardles of age, gender or species Or, it could involve kitchen ware... well i ve seen porn where they use the handle of a pan as a ****, but i dont think it's as simple as that

  4. the value of money was determined by the content in precious metal of the alloy and the size of the coin. if a german merchant knew how much actual gold a french gold coin had, with a scale he could determine it's value in comparison to german gold coins and make a trade using it. gold is gold after all, no matter who's face is stamped on it the game simply automates the entire process of the merchant determining the value of the various coins in your posession before accepting them as payment.
  5. I want complex shops too. I even wrote I was sorry we don't have shops use the different currencies, and money changers. That was before I had started Underrail where I find the shops to be pretty neat. the currencies can be overlooked. any merchant who knows his job would know that 1 gold aedyr coin is (lets say) 20 dyrwood coppers. if you give him one in order to buy something worth 20 coppers, you're done. no need to find actual dyrwood money.
  6. Thanks for the recommendations, dude - you'd be surprised how many of these I haven't seen. Samurai Champloo is great though! That I haven't watched Evangelion is probably sacrilege. I really should give it a go. i will add some. chrono crusade, starts like a goofy action and then drowns you in the feels. legend of the galactic heroes, the game of thrones of anime (nuff said) planetes, what Gravity wanted to be and failed miserably (a realistic space adventure) the original gunbuster, hard to find but really worth it. it's a bit over the top like gurren lagaan (other recomendation) and you may have to not think too deep on some details, but the execution is flawless and the ending will make you cry. GaoGaiGar, sounds and looks a bit silly at first and the first 15 episodes are slow and boring (i almost slept at 8 ) but then its a crescendo of awesomeness that reaches epic proportions towards the end. the story itself is not too complex or twisty but for that it has no holes and the director was a boss and last but not least, toward the terra, space opera that fells like a mix of blade runner and star trek
  7. why would anyone even bother to count the time he spent on a game? unless he makes a review and wants some evidence to back his claims
  8. i had a bsod about 30 minutes ago. while opening an incognito window of chrome while a normal was open (done it hundreds of times with no problem). highest temp at that moment was the CPU at 35C. i suspect that my HDD may be involved, it is rather old
  9. the first step for a divorce is marriage when i stopped living with my mother i lost 20kg (about 45lbs) in 5 months without even exercising, just by changing the food. you see the fact that obesity sticks like superglue is true. food is like a drug and while i was with my mother there was always something to eat in reach so no matter how much i tried i ended up eating a bit of this and a bit of that all day long. when i left i simply made sure not to have anything around that can be eaten uncooked. so having to cook stuff, made it impossible to eat at the first sign of hunger and thus eat outside meal times. of course the feeling of hunger is unbearable at times but most times im not hungry but my stomach was used to be constantly full and now cant stand to be half empty
  10. they could simply play the summoning animation backwards if the sumoning is a small smoke cloud appears, the skeleton is on is on its knees and stands as the cloud disappears at unsummoning you play the same animation reversed the skeleton gets on its knees as the cloud appears and then it disappears along with the cloud
  11. in all cases that i have seen, political correctness does only one thing: by using "softer" words to describe the same thing, it belittles the essense of said thing. by using the politicaly correct definition of a desease capable of wipping out humanity from the planet, you make it sound like its a little worse than a cold. a mental illness first diagnosed in WW1 was shelshock. as time passed, the name became more politicaly correct and now it is known as PTSD. to someone who has no idea about psychology, the first word will evoke images of someone severely scarred by the horrors of war, the other will sound like someone broke his leg and now is reluctant to walk on it fearing it is not yet fully healed. and thus a serious problem becomes synonimous to something trivial in the minds of people without relevant knowledge
  12. well, im not interested in seeing it anyway.
  13. Well that requires you to be a backer, though, and I sincerely doubt GordonFreeman is, based on his post. Yea...and what precise those a "backer" mean ? Those who help found the kickstarter, are those people called Backers....or ? those who gave money durring the kickstarter are the backers (you can tell by the badge on the forum). those who gave above a certain amount, are entitled to a behind the scenes documentary about the making of the game. the rest will just have to wait for someone to upload it on youtube
  14. someone making stand up comedy said the best thing about political correctness the politicaly correct way to say "gypsies are all dirty thieves" is "roma are all dirty thieves", because calling them gypsies is racist. it doesnt matter that you call an entire ethinc group as "dirty thieves" as long as you use the "apropriate" name for them
  15. Molyneux is the master of exagerated claims and false promises. his games (at least since fable) have barely 1/10 of what he promises and that 1/10 doesnt even work as intended.
  16. say you are in a corridor and 2 enemies are coming at you. you put down Yrden and now half the corridor is blocked. only one enemy can come at you and the other will have to stay behind and wait for the Yrden to expire or if the passage is too narrow it will block it completelly and you can use igni or bombs to kill them from a distance or you can simply escape. if you are in an open area you can keep the trap to your back and if an enemy charges at you, you roll to the side and he gets caught or by putting down 2 traps you can prevent a group from surrounding you
  17. i really liked the part when Eder asked if he can pet Sagani's fox and later Sagani was asking him how that bite wound the fox gave him was doing
  18. the problem with feminism is that it stopped promoting the social and financial indipendence of women (long ago women's lives depended on who they married) and became a "hate all the men" movement that promotes ideas like "abortion is fine if the fetus is male"... this is why people today call them feminazis
  19. you just need to read the in game descriptions and use you brain a little. when i played BG 1 and 2 back in my teens i didnt even look at the manual. i just read what was written in the game and put 2 and 2 together. and it was a far more complicated system than that of PoE
  20. when you do not talk about a simulation or a game that tries to imitate something real (FIFA, NHL etc), realism is how believable and consistent what you see is. a "realistic" fantasy game is one that makes sense and the concepts within it are not up in the air. it gives you in some way or another a (believable within the lore) reason for what is going on and wont just go with "that's how it is because that's how we made it, deal with it"... and of course it will not have inconsistencies like "i name you sir John and bestow upon you the title of count of X province." said the king 5 minutes later "You, boy. I have a rat problem in the storeroom, get down there and clear it for me!" said the castle's cook "Ok". said sir John, count of X, a lv20 fighter that has killed demons and dragons and whatnot 5 minutes later "Hello stranger, what is you business in the throne room?" asks the guard that was present in the ceremony a few minutes back
  21. the poll is made wrong. you need to have a blanc answer in both questions if one is the continuation of the other. now we have to vote a god from the top list even if our pick is in the bottom as for the god, i dont know yet. maybe after i got a few hints from the lore i ll be able to decide, but probably it will depend on my class
  22. i never understood the point of preventing your children from hearing, reading or saying certain words. whether you do it or not, by the time they hit 13 they will already know and use these words daily (when not in your presence), just like you did when you were at that age. i think it is better for them to know the words, their meaning and why they are offensive, instead of simply "hiding" their existence and pretending they are not there. the sooner offensive words stop being "forbiden" and therefore "special", the sooner a child stops feeling that using them without getting caught is an acomplishment and the sooner they will become unimportant and unused
  23. here's a better solution. make it a choice in the backer portal. since every CE includes an extra key, there would be no problems about some playing and others not the options would be 1. send the stuff of the CE now and the disc later 2. send it all in one pack when it's ready 3. send the stuff now, dont send the disc but let me download an iso of the disc to burn my own copy this way you will save some of the extra cost of shiping in 2 parts and you will not have to make those in a rush wait or those who want the full box get it in 2 parts. it will be of course harder from a logistics point of view
  24. 1. enemies in BB are much stronger than they will be in the actual game in that level range 2. AV is a last resort type of spell meant to keep you alive a little longer in case somebody gets to you, it's not an "Invulnerability Field Mk IX" (i wonder if anyone will get the reference) 3. you can use armor
