shades appear on hard. the blue are phantoms and they dont appear on easy

use fire spray with the wizard and you can one shot them most of the time

that zoom in is about the same as mine in the same resolution... and i dont see what purpose any further zoom in would serve

enemy fighters restore endurance just like your own fighters. and the less hits you land on them, the sooner they will get back to full. and just like your characters, they have health too that will be depleeted if you chip away at their endurance over several regenerations

i play on expert too. besides the aoe indicators im pretty much fine with it. and the lack of [stats] in dialogue is the best part for me. i can roleplay without distractions

no, just no. the stash is the best thing ever! instead of going back and forth to gather the stuff, i just dump them in the stash and im done. saves a lot of time and with it being accessible in towns only, it does not detract anything from the inventory management. as for encumberance i dont care either way, but with a limited number of items that can be carried anyway it could become a burden for most players

except for 1 enemy so far, i did not meet anyone who could stunlock my characters... and that one became a problem only when eder went down

unless i have to deal with a really messy battle and i have to zoom in to see the situation better, i keep it on full zoom out

i got into a fight too in the end and i think it always ends in a fight no matter what you do, however i got the hostage out of it uninjured, so i never got to the part where i had to choose between moving on and resting while in the ruins

you can choose expert mode when you start a new game you cant turn it on from the options what it does is: it removes all ui elements that PoE has and BG had not no aoe indicators no overhead health bars no [stats] in dialogue and so on

normal with expert on how i love the absence of the [insert stat] in dialogues. i can pick my lines without distractions here's a question. during the caravan fight at the prologue, who managed to get the hostage out of that mess unharmed? in my case, for a moment, i thought i had a chance to defuse the situation without a fight, but in the end i just managed to stall for time for the hostage to get clear before the dance started

this is the most important thing to remember. here's how using you stats for dialogue out of context could be detrimental you are talking to someone who's afraid of you and he keeps his hand close to his weapon 1. tell me about (insert subject here) 2. (might) i can kill you before you even think of drawing that blade 3. (intelect) i can pay you for your trouble 4. calm down im not your enemy, i just want to talk 5. (perception) that yellow spot in your eye... you have the plague don't you? reactions 1. he repeats his request to leave him alone while backing away slowly 2. he runs away 3. his eyes brighten, he licks his lips and says "20 coppers, i ll tell you anything you want to know" 4. he takes a step back but talks to you while still on guard 5. i don't have the plague, i won't let you kill me, DIEEEEE!!!!

i was wondering though, could it be number one because steam counts the redeemed backer codes as sales?

everyone has his own tastes. there are some things that many, or even almost all, will like but some will still dislike i heard people praise temple of elemental evil as the best port of DnD on a pc game... i could never play the game more than a few hours before i got bored with it everyone says that fallout 1 and 2 were some of the greatest games of all time and i agree... however my brother cant stand to play them for even an hour or to make a real life example, i see guys with some really ugly girls. why would anyone date her is something i cant imagine since i'd rather stay forever alone than date that thing, but the fact remains that he does. even if i get to know why he likes her, i still would never consider hooking up with her or someone that looks like her or to put it in physics terms, no matter how hard a 4D person tries to explain to you what a 4D object looks like, since you can only perceive 3 dimentions you can never even imagine the shape so knowing why people like DOS will not make you like it, it will simply make you question their sanity for liking it, just as they question yours for not liking it

well the game goes live on steam in the afternoon where i live so i have the whole day to make preparations eye drops for the inevitable dryness snacks for the late night water concentrated solid coffee to keep me awake a bucket and a good fap before i start to avoid distractions

check the backer portal. but i think since they started giving the keys, the add on function for backers has stopped

The expansion comes when it's done. The expansion is still in development. im not saying i want the key now, im asking if the backers who have the expansion and multiple game keys, will get an expansion key for each game key or not when the time comes

got my keys. a royal edition for steam and a hero on gog now i was wondering. my ks tier included the expansion. will i get an expansion key per game key when available or only one expansion key and will have to choose which version of the game to update?

the "no long duration shields" goes along with the "no prebuffing" principle of the game

there may be spells like triggers in higher levels (if i remember correctly it was about lv15-16 that you got them in BG2), however the "per encounter/rest" mechanic makes some of them, like long duration shields, useless since you can cast a shield at every fight if you need it
