  1. Germany - Australia is a rout. A good comedy.
  2. Well, that sucks. Will this be fixed?
  3. WTF. Steam won't let me purchase Awakenings because I have a disc version of Origins? "Your transaction failed because you are trying to buy a game that requires ownership of another game you do not currently own. Please correct the error and try again." Really EA/Bio/Valve???
  4. Can we return to Return to Ostagar after we finish it? Anyone know?
  5. Picked this up along with the Freedom Force pack. Also $2.
  6. Bioware game cannibalizing sales of Bioware game. Lolz.
  7. Which shopkeep is it btw? The ****ney brother or the armorer brother? The ****ney brother.
  8. I meant the exploit works for the whole set. You can sell your gloves, chestpiece, and boots and they will all be upgraded.
  9. The whole set. I tried to do the same thing with my Shield of Highever. No dice.
  10. Interesting exploit. I sold my Warden Commander armor to the shopkeeper at Soldier's Peak. By late game, there are bettter armors made of Dragonbone or Silverite anddespite the bonuses you get from it, Steel just wasn't gonna cut it. When I went back to that same shopkeeper sometime later, he's selling that same armor as Level 7 Dragonbone. I bought the set right back and now it's the best armor I have again.
  11. Diablo 3. It should have fun gameplay at the very least.
  12. This seems to be the best place for consolidated GoT news.
  13. I'm at 47 hours and according to my save file, about 20% in. Level 12.
  14. I guess now Maria really doesn't have a leg to stand on. SZ is apparently the Ashley of ME2. They need to do more of those "sacrifice someone" scenes so I can get rid of all the annoying people. From Patrick Weekes on the BioBoard: Quote: Posted 09/27/09 17:27 (GMT) by Mox Ruuga Quote: Posted 09/27/09 17:17 (GMT) by armass I read that blog and he called Ashley a space Hitler? what?! Yeah... A writer from Bioware calling Ash a "space Hitler"? And openly expressing loathing for the brand new character they've just revealed? I call BS. A made up quote from some meaningless little turd burp web site. Actually, no, they're quoting me. I said that elsewhere, and I said something close to it here. I really dislike Subject Zero... and I think that that's a strong point of our game. We're not playing it safe with our characters. Subject Zero is a character some people will hate, and others will love. That's why we've got more than 6 of 'em this time -- we're taking more chances and writing characters that aren't as comfortable. I don't dislike her because she's poorly written -- I dislike her because she's a well-written version of a character type that I hate. And again, lest this be taken out of context, I think that that's a good sign for the game. Our goal is to provoke strong feelings with our characters. We want you to love some and hate others. Some folks will love Subject Zero and hate Thane. Others will hate Subject Zero and love Thane, and still others will be okay with both and will love and/or hate people who haven't even been announced yet. As for the Space Hitler comment, I don't actually think of Ash that way -- there's a subset of players who never go into Ash's dialog, and they just go "Ew, she hates aliens, she's a racist, she's Space Hitler." I was referring to the meme of calling her that, not saying that I felt that way myself. Make sense?
  15. This is bad news for Obsidian. But the competition is pretty tough as it stands. Dragon Age, Il 2: Birds of Prey, Forza 3, and in the next couple months: ME 2 and Gran Turismo 5. Hopefully, Obsidian will still get continued funding from Sega until release.
  16. I would actually like to know more about the Salarian Scientist. Salarians seem to be the only type of aliens my Shepard doesn't have a deep rooted xenophobic hatred of. They make me (and therefore, Shepard) giggle.
  17. I'm liking this character concept. She says bitch and *bleep*. I hope she gets to shoot that ugly Grunt alien character in the head as well. My squad definitely needs an extreme Ashley replacement and the prospects look good.
  18. Actually Bio didn't even make Pinnacle Station. It was subcontracted to Demiurge.
  19. Seconded! I'm keeping my IBM Model M for life. http://www.clickykeyboards.com/ http://pckeyboards.stores.yahoo.net/cus101usenon.html
  20. I'm pretty excited that Aaron Sorkin was hired to save the Moneyball movie.
  21. Isn't this game a remake of JA1? gog.com is selling the original on their website. I was thinking of picking up one of these two versions. I'm leaning towards the pc version, unless the DS version is so much more superior...
  22. Indeed. that was tyte.
  23. Kewl. Looking forward to the improvements and the game.
  24. Just stick with the vanilla game for your first playthrough at the very least. I would recommend against modding the game until you are very familiar with it. The vanilla game by itself is excellent. After you've been seasoned, then you may want to try out the mods, which are generally incompatible -as the two big ones: EB and Total Realism are mutually exclusive from each other. For Medieval 2, I would heartily recommend either the Retrofit or Custom Campaign Mod, dependent on whether you have the Kingdoms XP. They were made by a Creative Assembly developer with the help of other CA staff to make the vanilla game more in-line with a more hardcore Total War audience (as opposed to casual fans). They don't diverge greatly from the vanilla version (like Stainless Steel) but is improved in so many little ways to make an already great game...better.
  25. I live in the Bay Area as well, and have only seen a grand total of one copy in all the stores I've been to. Nothing at Fry's, Best Buy, Target, and all but one Game Stop. I was really surprised to not find it at Fry's. Their PC games selection is fantastic.
