  1. Haven't played 08. But I've played NHL 05 and 06. As well as 2K5, 2K6, and 2K7. Prefer the 2K series for the modern iterations. I definitely hold NHL 93, 94, and 95 on a very high pedestal. Best sports video games ever played from a pure gameplay perspective. Perfect for 2P coop or Vs. NHL's 96, 97, and 98 took 2 steps back for every step forward. Gameplay sucked.
  2. Some do: Incredible how I could miss something so blatantly visible.
  3. Does no one here know of the sheer awesomeness that is Street Fighter 2?
  4. The last truly great NHL game was NHL 95. "Problem with 2K9 is that one of their 'BIG' features they're hyping is the ability to drive a zaboni inbetween periods. OMGZ! *must buy*" I always thought that the ability to fly the starfighter from Gradius during the intermission periods of Blades of Steel was a big deal.

    China did it

Well, coming from a track and field background, I prefer the pace of which records are broken on the track. Infrequent and with each new record being a BIG deal. Atleast track sprinters finally got over the Body Suit fad a few years ago. Ick.

WR's are falling far too frequently in the Swimming competitions. I say get rid of the new speedo body suits and make the pools as shallow and narrow as they used to be.

I was really struck by the little boy walking with Yao Ming. That was a great story, and does much to express the inherent courage and selflessness that can come from the most unlikeliest of hobbits.

That was all kinds of awesomeness. Goosebumps and watery eyes.
  9. I started playing this again as well. Today. After a 7 year hiatus. 4 hours just went by real quick.
  10. Watched the Giants - Padres telecast last night. Interesting stat was brought up: The Pads only stole 1 base during the month of July. The thief was Greg Maddux.
  11. Hrmmmm... Looks like Bio is looking for customer feedback with regards to their DRM policies. click here If you're so adamant in having your voice heard, then I'd suggest you take the time to be constructive about it. Especially since they are willing to hear your suggestions.
  12. They said that there were no kittens in the game? Link? If true, That's absurd!
  13. Yeah, Bushido Blade was pretty hardcore. No hitpoints or anything, you'd be parrying and suddenly you get sliced on the chest then next thing you know, you're dead.
  14. Never owned a PS but I remember vividly playing a game ONCE called Bushido Blade. For the 40 or so minutes I played it, I thought at the time, that it was the most RAD game I'd have ever played. Still have fond memories of it. Good times.
  15. Then it better not suck. Wouldn't want such a black eye on my web reputation. You're still banned from the Bio boards? They actually perma-banned you?? Too funny. It'd be interesting too know if there are any flanking maneuvers in DA, and thus its associated attack, defense, and morale bonuses/penalties and whether such factors are tracked in the rulz system.
  16. Now I haven't been following the securom/MEPC drama, but aside from the three activation limit, what's so bad about it?
  17. Goose deserved to be in there YEARS ago.
  18. Funny you should mention that, because apparently, Dragon Age will have "plays". I believe Dr. Z brought it up during a video interview, which brought back some memories of a seemingly endless discussion of it years ago on the Bio forums.
  19. 1. Dragon Age 2. Empire: Total War 3. Mass Effect 2 4. Aliens RPG 5. Alpha Protocol 6. NWN2: SoZ 7. Fallout 3 8. Sonic DS 9. Age of Decadence 10. Diablo 3 10a. Bio MMORPG
  20. In Beane We Trust. ...
  21. Dragon Age's new website is updated. http://dragonage.bioware.com/ New screenies. A canine companion? A female mage NPC? Grey Wardens? The Blight revealed. Major developer changes from the top since the game was announced. Scott Greig, FORMER Project Lead, GONE. Replaced by Dan Tudge. James Ohlen, FORMER Lead Designer, GONE. Replaced by Brent Knowles. Darcy Pajak, FORMER Producer, GONE. Replaced by Fernando Melo. Pluse a few other designers and writers who used to frequent the BIO boards. Don't know remember much about Pajak, but Greig and Ohlen played key roles with BG and NWN and even KotOR. Never heard of Tudge or Melo. Oh well. Gaider's still there atleast.
  22. Replace "Wright" with "Jeter" and "3rd base" with "shortstop" then I would agree.
  23. I was expecting something more with a Canadian accent.
  24. As opposed to what was advertised on NWN2 Gold's box? Where's MoW? I didn't finish NWN2's OC until a full year has passed after its release. My system specs: Intel e6600 Core 2 Duo 2 gigs ram 8800 GTS Vista result: bugs galore and CTD's. I used to work QA and so I have a very high pain threshold when it comes to tolerating bugs. NWN2 took its toll on me. That's great, NWN2 worked for you out of the bat. Power to you. But for many of us, and including certain Obsidian developers, NWN2 on release was NOT ready, and didn't really become a good game until after MotB was released. You should know by now that if you want to avoid complaining about bugs on your pc games, you should wait until a number of patches have been released. If you can't wait that long, then replay the game on your 360 and unlock more achievements.
