  1. Fair enough. I'm curious, was there much news circulating in Serbia regarding a Serb, a Bosnian Serb, and a Croat (via Australia) playing together on the same team (The Golden State Warriors)? I know that Bogut and Nedovic got along with each other very well, and Kucmic and Nedovic were inseparable. Together they were teaching their American teammates Serbian and Croatian.
  2. Excellent. That's my cue to go home!
  3. Icewind Dale series art was strong all around. 1) IWD (Jason Manley) 1a) IWD2 (Justin Sweet ) 3) BG (Mike Sass) 4) BG2 (Mike Sass)
  4. Against Brazil? I think it will be a close game and I doubt they will win against Spain. Anyways I was talking about Serbia vs Brazil. ?? Spain is certainly the best team outside of the US but as to what are you attributing this doubt that the US will handily defeat the Spaniards? As individual players, I respect Juan Carlos Navarro, Rudy Fernandez, and Sergio Rodriguez. They were each legitimate NBA rotation players. Navarro in particular was for a long time the best player not playing in America. Ricky Rubio is a magician with the ball and a hawk on defense. Pao Gasol is still a dangerous post threat. Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka are elite defenders. Along with this accumulated talent, they have been together for a long time and play team ball. That said, they only have an outside chance at best in defeating USA. To say otherwise is delusional or grossly uninformed.
  5. Things aren't looking good for Nemanja Nedovic or Ognen Kucmic. This is an important summer for both of them in terms of their survival in having an NBA career. Injuries to both and lost time for development is going to cost them. They are both dropping fast in Golden State's depth chart and being labeled as injury prone is a poison pill for bubble players. Nedo was especially inconsistent for both GS and Serbia last year and Kucmic was a non factor.
  6. Go play it now, it's on GOG and is cheap. But don't you think its better I wait for the new version of the game? Because I don't want to ruin the excitement ? To be honest, I do think that the art is a significant downgrade from the original pixel art. Plus it'll be difficult to top the original's voice acting. I'm only getting this for the convenience of play on iOS.
  7. Jane Jensen is the Chris Avellone of Horror themed Adventure games. The music by Robert Holmes is brilliant. St. George's Bookshop in particular is my favorite video game track. Confession: I never actually finished any of the games, but I'm getting this on day one of release.
  8. They will take into account useful feedback. They'll discuss internally -consider, implement, discard, and or save for later. The rest is all just noise from uncouth rabble that needs to be filtered out. Rinse and repeat from the Black Isle days.
  9. The BG portraits used real life models from which Sass drew likeness from. Many of whom were early Bio devs btw. However, the old Black Isle community were merciless on critiquing how these some of these characters looked, which probably wasn't very good on the self esteem of many of the models/Bio Devs. So for BG2, Sass essentially stylized the portraits and didn't use life models.
  10. They're all scarry looking.
  11. Impressive. Except that Infinity Engine gameplay > Aurora/Electron Engine gameplay.
  12. If I had a gun, with two bullets, and was in a room with Hitler, bin Laden, and whoever made the BGII portraits, I would shoot whoever made the BGII portraits twice. Mike Sass drew the portraits for both BG and BG2.
  13. So the companion list is also a placeholder, right?
  14. I haven't had significant playtime with IWD since the box release and never completed it due to BG2. Just never went back to it. But I fully agree with Gromnir that it was technically a superior game to BG. Nostalgia definitely plays a significant factor though in my rating BG over IWD in terms of favorites. The IWDEE release will give me an excuse to finally replay it again as an appetizer to Eternity. It actually bumped Wasteland 2 on my playlist.
  15. The thing about Curry is that the conventional rules of what constitutes a good shot does not apply to him at all. For a shooter of his caliber, any open look is a good shot, no matter how far or how much time has elapsed from the shot clock. His Expected Value per shot is as good as Lebron James in the paint. He goes through some dry spells but given a large enough sample size, his percentages and EV are among the all time great, and even more impressive especially when you consider difficulty and volume. I'm biased though.
  16. Had my fantasy football draft. Ended up taking the 49er Defense. Hope they're not all suspended by the season opener.
  17. There just seems something wrong when you can't get with the Muscle Wizard.
  18. Don't let the score of that game fool you. The Turks kicked our butts in the first half. They were patient, ran their offense and pounded the boards outrebounding the US by a 2-1 margin in the first half. Their zone forced the US to take contested 3s (going 1 for 9 in the first half). Faried, Davis, Drummond and Irving are carrying the US right now. Curry can't buy a shot atm and with the exception of Irving our guard play has been mediocre (and that's being nice). I wish the US had added Lillard (and possibly Korver or Parsons) and dropped Plumlee (and possibly deRozan) I saw the game too. Turkey outplayed USA in the first half and were up by 5 at the half. That's hardly kicking butt. Far from it. Shots weren't falling and offensively they were rushing with some heroball. Once they settled down and played inside out with the bigs and got out in transition, USA was fine. Curry even got his rhythm back and made three triples. Give all the credit to Turkey, but they wouldn't have been able to keep up for the full 40. Hell, they recovered enough that the game became a blow out anyway.
  19. Young International players I'm interested in keeping tabs on: Dario Saric and Mario Hezonja - Croatia The Brothers Antetokounmpo - Greece Donatus Motiejunas (sp?) and Jonas Valanciunas - Lithuania These guys all have NBA star potential (except for the Greek Freak's older brother) and I'd like to see them I situations where they have to carry their teams, especially Motiejunas. The 2 Croats in particular won't be playing in the NBA next season but they have the most upside of the group.
  20. USA trounced Finland by 59pts including a shut out 2nd quarter in which the Finns only managed 2 free throws. For game 2, The Turks were actually up by 5 over USA at halftime before the Americans got their pride going and went on to blow out Turkey. To be fair, the Turks did as well as they possibly could, but not for two whole halves, and they managed to not get into garbage time until well into the 4th. USA doesn't really run any semblance of an offense - just jumpers, post ups, and pick n rolls - relying on superior basketball skills and athleticism. Their defense though is super aggressive and tenacious (except for James Harden -he doesn't even pretend to try), pressuring opposing trams into committing turnovers and quick shots, thereby accelerating the overall pace of the game. For the most part, USA is playing their B team talent - which is still more than enough to cruise through the tourney, atleast until the knockout stage.
  21. Good opportunity to scout out some international talent. Really impressed by Dario Saric of Croatia. Inevitable Toni Kucoc comparisons.
  22. he did not need to work very hard to find, "bizarre, explicit and controversial comments." in fact, we bet it would be impossible to enter a da:i forum other than news and announcements and perhaps multiplayer, and find a single page w/o at least one thread containing, "bizarre, explicit and controversial comments." a comment from a bsn poster reacting to the video that is honest 'bout the degree o' bsn bizaro http://forum.bioware.com/topic/512557-dragon-age-inquisition-bsn-in-a-nutshell/?p=17218164 HA! Good Fun! http://forum.bioware.com/topic/473296-this-is-absolutely-unacceptable/?p=15069600 I'm assuming this isn't you. Someone else actually took your handle in the new Bio forums? Haha I can only imagine the bewilderment when Gaider, Priestly, Woo, or some such sees one of these posts.
  23. If only they could include the IWD2 portraits. Speaking of which, Obsidian bought the rights to IWD's art assets. How does this work? Or does Beamdog have the inherent right to use the original assets when they licensed it from the rightsholders? (Would it be Atari? Hasbro??)
  24. Hmm. Interesting that they went with the IWD route instead of PS:T.
  25. Pathfinding will not be fixed in one fell swoop. They'll tweak and iterate all the way through release.
