Everything about the place seems to be asinine. The architecture is assymetrical to a fault, causing unbalanced decibel levels thereby stymying whatever home field advantage the home crowd can muster. Then there's the absurd bag policy limiting to 4"x6" purses and or clear, transparent bags. They have an exclusive club -alienating the merely well off as opposed to the insanely rich. The parking and traffic situation is a mess. Then you have to deal with these thuggish drunken morons, who've grown worst since the San Francisco have became relevant again. All of which is lending credence that 49ers fans are becoming the worst in professional american sports. Mix of the worst of of both worlds: you get the wine sipping fair weather -to be seen crowd, mixed with the gutter trash that's routinely getting into violent beatings and shootings. Then there's our team: 1) The head coach is apparently losing control of his locker room. 2) Front Office staff are hypocrites in the handling/non handling of player misconduct off the field. 3) The QB is becoming insufferable with his arrogant antics coupled with mediocre performance.

Nope. I'm grouping all 49ers fans. I'm convinced this is representative of the entire fan population.

The general gist is, lighten up. We were all noobs once and you can give and take with the ribbing. No one is attacking anyone personally, and atleast in these topics, there's been no vitriol -just having some fun. These topics have been eyerolled because they have already been discussed to death for years and are essentially beating dead horses. Fairly or not, newer posters who commit unwritten board faux pas will be subject to light mockery. It's all pretty subjective on what constitutes what. Most regulars don't want to engage in old topics with serious discussion because it's not an interesting topic anymore. Thus the resort to humor and mockery. That's pretty much standard for most boards I've been associated with, albeit that there are varying levels of moderation from community to community. This one isn't very heavy handed, especially when compared to BioWare.

KoTOR 2 has greatly influenced how I live my life. It shouldn't be mocked. For example, I've used "That starship won't fly" and "up her boarding ramp" as actual real life euphemisms.

1) I tend to roll my eyes when I see these individual rant topics. 2) Some of these anti-rant posts are a bit cathartic and humorous. 3) These forums aren't all that too welcoming to new posters who try to venture out of their specific sub-forums, e.g. KotOR/PoE. 4) However posters need this ribbing to better familiarize themselves with the lay of the land, i.e. board etiquette, what's acceptable, etc.,... 5) If you can't take the heat, then don't start new topics that will cause eye rolls. 6) Nothing malicious has been explicitly posted. We've all been flamed and trolled in one way or another. Suck it up. 7) LOL @ Bruce for white knighting forum boardies.

Well, I can safely say that multiplayer ME3 was the most multiplayer FPS I've played since the original Counter-Strike.

It's a good call to delay, especially when an overwhelming majority (based on a sampling of forum posts on this thread) are in support of it.

A's take a macro approach. Team is built on maximizing run differential over the course of a long season. Live and die by the three run jack. They just suck when it comes to one run strategies.

Anyways, this is going to be the end of this current iteration of the Athletics. It'll be back to the drawing board as the A's will be losing several key players to free agency (and big cash outs) and their farm system has been depleted.

Their collapse was beyond painful to watch. It hurt. I stand by my statement though. Over that two and half year stretch, from 2012 to the end of July of this season, they were the quietly the best team in baseball. They won more games and had a greater run differential than any other team in MLB. They did it by fielding a flawed team of extreme platoon hitters, solid starting pitching, and undervalued middle reliever -all at bargain basement prices. Beane and Melvin have done a tremendous job.
