[333] Incorrectly applied hyperlink of "WILL" in the Glossary
Leferd replied to Leferd's question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
Summary: Incorrectly applied hyperlink of "WILL" in the Glossary. (4th instance) 1) From any gameplay screen, select JOURNAL. 2) Select GLOSSARY 3) Select EQUIPMENT 4) Select STRONGHOLD 5) Search for the following text: ..."The Stronghold WILL need to be upgraded..." WILL is incorrectly hyperlinked to the Noun and statistical category of WILL (as in Will Defense). In the above described sentence, WILL is used as a verb. Expected behavior: The verb WILL should not be hyperlinked to the Noun and statistical category of WILL. It's a relatively minor text bug but still a little jarring to see from the end user perspective. -

Pranksters troll food experts with "Organic" McDonalds
Leferd replied to Oerwinde's topic in Way Off-Topic
Not just the pesticides. Take your normal tomato from the supermarket. They've been modified in a lab to produce not only a shiny red color (despite being unripe) and a firm, tough outer wall to withstand the rigors and abuse of shipping and transportation, so they don't become tomato paste by the time they end up on your cutting board. -

To be fair, he specifically mentions that he doesn't get the outrage over genetically modifying foods through selective breeding, vs. those modified in a lab. He is a proponent of applied scientific research and sees modern food science as the next step up from Gregor Mendel. -

Preach. -
Still, it can't be denied that he was the focal point for the #1 rated offenses (based on pts per 100 possessions) over a 10 year span from his Mavericks to Suns years and he made players around him more productive. Can't speak for others but I don't take the number of rings a player has won as a major barometer of how good a player was. That being said, you're right though, Nash is overrated in some circles - but Shaq didn't deserve to win the 05 MVP over Nash either. Big difference between Nash and Anthony. Carmelo gets the hate because he's an incessant chucker who hasn't played in very many good teams throughout his career. Nash has played in numerous contending teams that fell short of the finals. Ironically though, Nash is pretty selfish. Don Nelson called him the best player he ever coached but would get on him to actually take more shots. But he refuses in order to protect his shooting percentages. For a career .428 3pt%, he only averaged 3.2 trey attempts per game over his career. Which was a big reason why he had so many 50-40-90 seasons.

Not in 05 or 06 he ain't.
-
Why would Shaq deserve it more than Nash in 05? The MVP is a regular season award and Nash was the best player on the best regular season team in the league. Phoenix won 62 games in a clearly tougher Western Conference compared to Shaq's Heat that won 59 games in the East.

^And I didn't even particulary care for the comic. Though I have to admit that I LOVED Keanu Reeve's Constantine. Keanu is no John Constantine, but it was actually a pretty good movie in its own right. ... From the pilot itself, I like the subtle nods to his punk rocker roots and that Dr. Fate reference. They may not explicitly show him smoking, but he sure plays around with his Zippo a lot.

Joe Maddon quits. The blows keep coming for Tampa Bay. Sorry GD. -
The designer (handle is Darth Vader) is a longtime and well known in the Total War community for his Rebalnce and gameplay mods. The guy is a bit of an ass and egomaniac though. Still he modded in some really quality stuff from Rome 1 to Shogun 2.

Differences indeed. "Pope Francis has suffered a setback as proposals for wider acceptance of gay people failed to win a two-thirds majority at a Catholic Church synod." http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-29677779 Pope Francis received over 1/2 of the votes but not the 2/3 required for approval.

Starting St. George's Bookshop in the Gabriel Knight 20th Anniversary release. The music is as good as I remember. Missing Tim Curry though...

I just came back from my local farmers market. There was the scariest looking nun in her full habit hawking bread from her convent. She had this death stare if you happened to look her way and not approach her stall. Brought me back to my worst nightmare as a six year old catholic schooler. In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black And I held my tongue as she told me, "Son, fear is the heart of love." So I never went back

Gah. I'm starting to hear it from Giants fans: 3 WS appearances in 5 years. I should switch my avatar. Too much orange for the Nippon Ham Fighters. -
That clip never gets old. I'd say in particular that that was singularly the best live performance of Radio Ga Ga...ever.

They won't cut down from an 82 game season. Don't see ownership willing to give up game revenue. And 48 minutes is neither too long nor is the game itself too slow. The game has definitely improved since the '94-'04 deadball era. On another note, Bill and Jalen are back! http://grantland.com/2014-bill-and-jalen-nba-preview/ #30 http://youtu.be/bGSfpy7Zk-Q That Simmons suspension was just silly. Caused a delay on the release of these videos.
