  1. Am thinking to bind the toast lever for scouting mode.
  2. Angry Dez Bryant? Probably right.
  3. Something is flawed with the rulesyestem when that isn't ruled as a catch.
  4. I pretty much just follow several industry people on Twitter who will link interesting articles and industry news. This can be anything from editorials to YouTube videos and it works far better for me than cycling through different urls and occasional hitting refresh for updates.
  5. *cough* The Old Republic *cough*Of course BioWare screwed it up bigtime, which is funny since they made KOTOR1.But hey, continue on not having a point...Bioware didn't do The Old Republic, though. Afaik, a completely different studio (was it Mythic?) relabeled with the Bioware logo after Bioware was acquired by EA developed most of The Old Republic.I realize that there's nothing intentionally disingenuous about your point, but rather it's disingenuousness by proxy on EA:s part, and it doesn't matter overly much now that Bioware has been butchered and stitched together as yet another frankesteinian printing press of awful by EA, but let's just be clear on the point that the developers behind KotOR had next to nothing to do with the development of SW:ToR.It was Bioware Austin and led by key Edmontonian transplants (Dr. Greg Zezchuk as studio head, James Ohlen as game director, and Georg Zoeller as lead combat designer). Those are as key Bioware people as you can get. Ohlen was also lead designer on KotOR (as well as on BG and BG2) and Zoeller was its technical systems designer.
  6. You will have the option of Steam or GOG.
  7. If there is any consolation, you can throw weapons in scripted interactions (daggers, spears).
  8. Mass Effect 2 and Alpha Protocol also don't use Kill XP. Neither did the Witch's Wake module for NWN.
  9. I don't have any specific problems. As I said, I'm proficient at the IE games --having played them for 16 years. Just interested in different tactics and what the word is on optimal strategeries after PJ's statements. I only resort to cheese tactics for when I absolutely have to. That being said, I'll try out the reactive playstyle on future play throughs. Getting off topic, and I see the other IWD thread now. ... Obsidian rules!
  10. Generally speaking, I found the sweet spot at mid levels (7-10). When things got tough, I cheesed monster summoning and used the entangle/spiderweb and fireball/cloudkill combos along with missiles weapons. Hated, hated the drudgery that was high level mage battles that became counter spell tedium. I'm proficient but it wasn't fun as it became too mechanical. Other than that, I just preferred to freestyle my way through for 16 years, trying different tactics for the hell of it.
  11. May as well request a Compendium of All Things IE, Grognard's Edition.
  12. Can anyone point me out to the Official Communty Approved Grognard's Manual on how to PROPERLY play Icewind Dale?
  13. Looking forward to some of the components for this mod!
  14. There aren't any class based restrictions for weapons or armor. Either Priests or Paladins can play to your described archetype, with the former being more of a support spellcaster and the latter, a martial-inclined buffer. The Chanter also works as a strong support buffer as well, if you want to go more unconventional.
  15. It's already an immediate improvement over Shield. Plus, I'm a sucker for period pieces.
  16. The Pistons were 5-23 when SVG waived Josh Smith and absorbed his albatross of a contract. They win their next five. Tonight they played against the World Champs and were down 1 with 8 seconds left -Spurs ball. Then this happens. 0.1 seconds left. What does SVG tell his guys? Classic NSFW. "WE JUST FORM A F****** WALL!" They now have more wins in 6 games then they had the previous 28. Has addition by subtraction ever been this effective? What.a.season.
  17. Companions will have their own discrete portraits.
  18. That's horrible! Top ramen must be al dente. And then drained and pan fried with sesame oil, served with fried egg and whatever appropriate leftovers are available, and then garnished with crispy fried shallots.
  19. Is one supposed to be impressed?
  20. That's pretty much my take. I played it when it was new, and I've made attempts a 2nd time, but epic-level AD&D just isn't much fun and the cheese really starts to stink after a couple days. Yep. Although in my case, I never was able to finish it. Tried three separate times but the epicness bored me.
  21. I think Josh had this as his inspiration for the ranger archetype. http://youtu.be/XZFbQwCsGPQ
  22. Will be keeping this on my radar.
  23. Whether it's 14 seconds or 10 seconds, you should aggressively go for the steal or foul either way when you are down one. One of the more I tersting debates this season is whether the Lakers are better with or without Kobe on the floor. http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2014/12/29/7456595/kobe-bryant-lakers-stats-shooting-hurting-mystery No Kobe argument: -Kobe doesn't play D. -Kobe is the worst hi-volume chucker in the league. -Kobe doesn't practice with the team anymore, and so he disrupts organized sets. Pro Kobe: http://youtu.be/TU-BGoQ65zw
  24. From last night's game. LOLs @ Kobe and Lin. In Lin's defense, he yelled at Byron Scott asking whether he should foul. Scott said no, Lin yelled asking again and Scott still said no. Bizarre coaching/tactics.
