Never played any of the original Bard's Tales and couldnt really get into the 2004 remake. Wasteland 2 is decent enough but I got bored with it. What makes it Kickstarter worthy for someone like me?

So, when directly asked during the Pillars of Eternity Q&A panel on PAX South 2015 whether they have additional ideas for Kickstarter, Obsidian pretty much confirmed with a resounding YES. Not that surprising, and certainly leaves me hopeful that something may be announced after Eternity's release.

They very briefly showed off three new areas: Raedric's Hold, something-something, and a level of Od Nua. Then they held the Q&A.

well, josh and tim want to. Feargus like on the history game issue is probably a lot more reserved. Well...atleast the panelists seem to be united on their stance for TB. Even Chris with his sarcasm.

They will have endgame vignettes/slides ala Fallout.

Obsidian wants to make a turn based game. Hopefully in the cards down the line.

AI scripts on the pipeline for the expansion.

Generally speaking, AMD chips are better than Intel chips when combining CPU with GPU. The AMD A10 in particular is quite good in this regard.

Works just fine for me. Starting an Imperial game on huge galaxy setting. I'm immediately overwhelmed with all the options. Deciding it's time again to re-read that manual after all these years. Not quite like riding a bicycle again...

I actually loaned out my disc to a friend and it got cracked. By that time, the game was already out of print. It was a brilliant, ambitious game and the manual and tech/unit poster was old school cool. Too bad I lost the manual as well.

This was at the very top of my wish list. Playing the Empire and hunting down the Rebels with my fleets of (named) Star Destroyers and intelligence network brought me countless hours of joy.

It's certainly an unorthodox take.

Looks like Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for one year to those already using Windows 7 or 8.1.

I enjoyed the speech. It was well crafted (and delivered) and it made me feel good as an American and for atleast one night --allowed for some optimism in this country without the usual cynicsm and destructive partisanship that's prevalent in Washington and internet forums worldwide. The State of the Union is our annual reminder that the state of the union is strong. It's good, positive reinforcement that'll help me go about my business tomorrow and do my part in making this country better. Just hearing the President saying the State of the Union is strong really is a good morale booster. As is highlighting the accomplishments and struggles of both the most extraordinary of us and the mundane. It's folksy, it's kitsch, but it's also endearing and brings us closer as a nation as we acknowledge those that share in our American experience. I prefer the idealism of government as a force for good as portrayed in the West Wing than what's happening in Washington today. Obama's appeal for compromise is a reflection of that ideal and atleast for a few hours tonight, it gives me some ray of hope. Well done POTUS.
