Ossians Kevin Smith working for Obsidian on new RPG?
Leferd replied to C2B's topic in Obsidian General
So he's working remotely? -
Right now, Chanters and Druids seem to be the strongest classes. Without going into too much depth: -Chanters have strong buffs through their use of strung together chants and have decent summons and other invocations. -Druids are the best utilitarian spell casters --good at crowd control and act as ranged damage dealers and healers. -A toss up for third class, though I like the Paladin for Zealous Focus and all around melee ability.

Thank you Matt. These are good insights into Obsidian's QA process. -

How much additional QA support is Paradox providing you? -

Yeah, same here. I was (un)lucky enough to have a Virtual World open near where I lived. Zero Sum game for me...comics or Battletech. Serious drain on my paper route money.

It may actually be cheaper to book a flight to Paris to have dinner at Tour d'Argent and order Canard a la Presse. or not....

I want my own Basilisk War Droid! Battletech simulator!

Speaking of ducks, I've always wanted to be rich so I can justify splurging on a duck press. http://www.surlatable.com/product/PRO-1522473/?affsrcid=Aff0001&CAGPSPN=pla&CAWELAID=120120820000087037utm_source=channeladvisor&utm_medium=CSE&utm_campaign=googlepla&catargetid=120120820000119777&cadevice=c

David Lynch's Dune is nominally a bad movie. But it's also one of the most absurdly great cult films of all time and a classic that I can just watch over and over again. Reasons why it's such a cult favorite: Quotable quotes --even if and especially because they are taken from the book The film starts with an extreme close up of Virginia Madsen's face. Sting! Patrick Stewart! Toto! SHAI HULUD Cuz it's F****** awesome. See the theatrical cut first. IF you love it, then go with the "Alan Smithee" Extended version --thusly named as David Lynch disowned this version. I actually really like it. Here's a well made homage/paradoy if you've already seen the film.

Physical Goods
Leferd replied to Karkarov's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
The labor and expense to package and mail out the shirts separate from the rest of the goods would be cost prohibitive. As a backer, I'd rather they save that money and allocate it for development rather than logistics. -
Thanks for the peek. Did you guys have to ask permission from Obsidian to show off this stuff or is this just not a big insider deal?

Physical Goods
Leferd replied to Karkarov's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Yeah, I don't think its too much to ask for regarding production of and anticipated shipping of physical goods. It's been pretty hit or miss regarding some of these kickstarter projects --Wasteland 2 in particular. I think it would be nice to know when Obsidian/Paradox anticipates on going gold with their physical discs or if the tshirts have already been printed etc.,... Obsidian has already done a nice job for the small scale shipping of certain reward tiers (AMD Loot Bag) which is very much appreciated. But mass production and shipping is a totally different logistical animal. Hopefully the partnership with Paradox works out --but I am optimistic. PS Have my Collector items been signed yet? Any video footage or photographic evidence of signers' fatigue would be appreciated! -

Leferd replied to Raithe's topic in Way Off-Topic
First time they ever met face to face and actually exchanged numbers. Should have happened 5 years ago when they were both still in their prime. Still, reports are that afterwards, they met privately to hash out a deal to make it work.- 488 replies

It depends on your sense of humor. I loved every second of it. It was ridiculous. But I am sure there are people here too refined for such things, and they probably will roll their eyes over it. Inebriated me thought the movie was brilliant. Do I want to chance ruining that memory? Granted I don't actually remember if he ended up blowing himself up to bits....

I don't think I've ever seen MacGruber sober. Worth it?
