  1. Contact Obsidian Support directly through the backer portal and open a ticket. They may be able to help you out if it's not too late to change your order.
  2. Not a big deal but actually, his original concept was a fighter. It was converted to rogue mid-project and then reverted back to fighter again.
  3. Yeah, ok so what? A guy can't have different opinions and like modern sandbox RPGs or appreciate achievements in multiple game genres without being dismissed as a console shill or representative of the dumbing down of modern games? Angry Joe's favorite game of all time is the original X-Com, which in case you forget, is a hardcore turn based, isometric squad combat game with deep strategical elements and high difficulty. Watch this review of the new X-Com if you still doubt his PC master race sensibilities.
  4. His evisceration of Total War: Rome 2 was brilliantly epic. As a Total War fan, and having been let down by Creative Assembly for the state of its release, this video was quite cathartic. The Creative Assembly engaged in some really good dialogue with Joe and their fans in reaction to this video in their official forums, and to their credit --CA really did improve the game with their free Emperor Edition overhaul.
  5. Looks interesting enough.
  6. Hey man, sometimes you need to read how Alexander solved those puzzles involving pesky knots.
  7. Actually mine did. 1993 model. But it was an easy fix.
  8. One most certainly won't make back the atleast $500 ROI for gold level backers if the hope is to sell it off as profit.
  9. I'd say I won my office Oscar pool. Why anyone would bet against Vegas is beyond me. Good thing no one else in my pool are degenerate gamblers like me and wouldn't know how to look up the odds.
  10. Yeah. THIS. And...not anything else you've said on this thread. The fact of the matter is that when it comes to CRPGs, the broader the target audience, the more limited and watered down the RPG will be. And must be. Because average gamers don't like to read, don't like to focus on anything beyond the visual, don't like rule set complexity, and most importantly they won't be entertained by gameplay that is designed to be more of a cerebral experience than an adrenaline rush.We all want PoE to be as financially successful as possible. But there's a huge difference between wishing that the game does well, and wishing that it be designed to target the mainstream masses so that it sells a bajillion copies, like Mass Effect and Skyrim and other large-target-audience-RPGs.And this is precisely why I look at this Angry Joe Preview and rejoice. He might help this game sell well despite it not being targeted/designed towards his core viewership. Haha. Somehow, now I can't get this image of Angry Joe as the Anthony Kennedy of video game reviewers, for whom it's key to win over.
  11. Angry Joe's reviews can regularly get over a million+ views and he has almost 2 million subscribers. His style is not similar to Totalbiscuit but they run in the same circles. Their pvp X-Com matches are pretty good.
  12. Yeah. Joe is not a console fanboy. He plays a ton of PC strategy games (turn based, grand, RTS) and has been bringing alot of awareness to indie projects. For all his over-the-top shenanigans, he still knows his business and is really fair and on point with both criticism and praise. *edit* From the video, the relevant PoE timestamps are from the 16th minute to the 20th minute.
  13. Yup. He has essentially the best sword in the game that only he can use. Terrific except that he's a puny Elven Enchanter with 7 Constitution.
  14. Yeah, I like Josh's response to that hypothetical.
  15. More writeups. Based on the same footage/interview. http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2015/02/20/trying-to-improve-upon-greatness-in-pillars-of-eternity/ http://www.digitalspy.com/gaming/news/a630044/majority-of-content-in-pillars-of-eternity-to-be-optional-says-obsidian.html#~p4TavSaYrt0cjE They're getting good press.
  16. I'd like to think that it would be spelled out in the manual.
  17. Will you be streaming a release party starring a drunk Avellone?
  18. I would hope they are cursing backers for inducing a mass outbreak of non-productivity due to carpal tunnel from signing collector edition items.
