  1. Which begs the question, what is their cutoff date for submitting their final release candidate for the physical versions when they have to go gold?
  2. I would imagine there would be. I'm suspecting that there should atleast be a backer beta build concurrent with the gold master version for the physical copies.
  3. Are you sure you actually activated slow mode? Because slow mode to me seems really slow - as in slow motion slow.
  4. I see your fascination with rodents extends to rat shaman avatars.
  5. Well...techinically, I was the first one who wrote down March 26th on this thread...
  6. It depends on a few different factors, but mostly it has to do with what tier your have. The higher cost tiers did come with digital copies. The basic boxed copy off of the Backer Portal does not come with a digital version. Thank you. If I decide to buy an Extra Ditial Download Add-On, do I get a choice of the service I will get it on or does it default to Steam? Or will Obsidian provide the download through their own site? (The same question would go for the DD of the expansion I ordered along with the physical copy) All digital downloads that go through our Backer Portal will get the choice of where they would like to redeem their copy. Currently that is Steam or GOG, but we are looking into adding more places to that list.
  7. NASCAR driver: my ex is a trained assassin. http://espn.go.com/racing/nascar/cup/story/_/id/12161197/kurt-busch-says-ex-girlfriend-patricia-driscoll-was-trained-assassin?ex_cid=sportscenterFB
  8. not true on both accounts. and no, I won't provide a prooflink, I don't keep an RPGCodex.txt, but I've seen stuff you mention happen not true on both accounts. and no, I won't provide a prooflink, I don't keep an RPGCodex.txt, but I've seen stuff you mention happen Well, certain codexians will equally call you out for both your ideas and on who you are. Very little is really off limits. It's not quite at 4chan levels, but it has gone down that road at times.
  9. Nothing some ibuprofen and Gatorade can't cure.
  10. Games Workshop's whoring out of the Warhammer license continues. This time they can finally deliver the bug-filled, utterly broken experience their fans have been craving by partnering with Creative Assembly! OH SNAP!
  11. Total War: Warhammer? http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?677233-Total-War-WARHAMMER-officially-revealed There have been rumors before, but this seems solid.
  12. It simply shouldn't be taken seriously. Codex hates Bioware, they still have flashbacks and cold sweats about voting DAO as their game of the year. If DAI were a masterpiece reflecting the best bits of Codex approved RPG classics like PST, Fallout, Arcanum, VtMB, Gone Home, JA2 and BG2 it still wouldn't get voted highly, if it were objectively crap it wouldn't get voted highly. Your own words disprove your opinion though. If Codex hates Bioware so much (and it has plenty of reason to, their games were from mediocre to crap for the last decade) why would they vote DAO GOTY 2009? It didn't even touch PST, Fallout, Arcanum, VtMB, Gone Home, JA2 and BG2, yet Codex kinda liked it. Even the ones that didn't they admited it was better than anything Bioware has done since ToB. And Codex's disaproval of Bioware begins with NWN. So if they gave DAO GOTY prize, it means they are more objective than you give them credit for. To be fair, the Codex "awarded" DAO essentially by default. http://www.rpgcodex.net/content.php?id=198 To quote: The process of selecting the title for RPG of the year goes something like this: Were any RPGs actually released this year? Were any of them released in English? Give the English one the award.
  13. Quite unfortunate.
  14. http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2015/01/13/376184710/gmo-potatoes-have-arrived-but-will-anyone-buy-them?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=atc&utm_term=nprnews&utm_content=20150113 I'd eat that.
  15. Backing in good faith. I like their first game and Dragonfall was quite good.
  16. Will have to check out NEO Scavenger.
  17. Am thinking to bind the toast lever for scouting mode.
  18. Angry Dez Bryant? Probably right.
  19. Something is flawed with the rulesyestem when that isn't ruled as a catch.
  20. I pretty much just follow several industry people on Twitter who will link interesting articles and industry news. This can be anything from editorials to YouTube videos and it works far better for me than cycling through different urls and occasional hitting refresh for updates.
  21. *cough* The Old Republic *cough*Of course BioWare screwed it up bigtime, which is funny since they made KOTOR1.But hey, continue on not having a point...Bioware didn't do The Old Republic, though. Afaik, a completely different studio (was it Mythic?) relabeled with the Bioware logo after Bioware was acquired by EA developed most of The Old Republic.I realize that there's nothing intentionally disingenuous about your point, but rather it's disingenuousness by proxy on EA:s part, and it doesn't matter overly much now that Bioware has been butchered and stitched together as yet another frankesteinian printing press of awful by EA, but let's just be clear on the point that the developers behind KotOR had next to nothing to do with the development of SW:ToR.It was Bioware Austin and led by key Edmontonian transplants (Dr. Greg Zezchuk as studio head, James Ohlen as game director, and Georg Zoeller as lead combat designer). Those are as key Bioware people as you can get. Ohlen was also lead designer on KotOR (as well as on BG and BG2) and Zoeller was its technical systems designer.
  22. You will have the option of Steam or GOG.
  23. If there is any consolation, you can throw weapons in scripted interactions (daggers, spears).
  24. Mass Effect 2 and Alpha Protocol also don't use Kill XP. Neither did the Witch's Wake module for NWN.
