  2. I would bet a virtual six pack of beer that they are going to use Onyx for a number of reasons. It's internally developed and supported, it seems stable and they have experience with it and its tool sets already. Dungeon Siege III runs on it, as does the current in development South Park game. Two very different types of games, both visually and game mechanics wise. At least seen from the outside, it looks like an obvious choice. Not to mention they already worked on a render for this one.

Companies struggle and layoffs happen. That doesn't mean these people are not smart.

  5. I've always wondered if a lot (I'm not saying all) of the people that hate the critical mentor thing just can't take critisism in real-life. Or have to deal with critisism so much that they are exhausted on it.
  6. Add Justin Sweet to that and this game could be a Kickstarter record. Ziets is an attainable goal. At least 3 of the mentioned not so much. While great, don't be disappointed if nothing happens on it.
  7. I have to say, I'm not against the inclusion of all Bioware designers. But the ones I want have a pretty set job and most of all these guys live in canada.

  13. I haven't finished NwN2 yet (I'm early on the campaign), but they described the feature as stronghold then. Now they are talking about Player Housing. Sure, I won't rule out a sad misunderstanding but these guys are writers, they know their words. Not all of them are writers. Also Saturday evening after staying up long a night watching counters. And: The Sink in Old World Blues And again: We have no idea what they actually mean with "player housing" except for prejudices. There's no definition.
  14. There's no way. No way, this is actually going to be a simple player house with boxes in it. They may still be in the game as places to hide out/sleep safely, but the specific one in the stretch goals is almost certainly going to be something special.

  16. As mentioned they're developing a custom ruleset based on RTWP combat with a high focus both on combat and non-combat skills.
