Stretch Goals
The game has 3D charachters on 2D background and will presumably look similiar to TOEE/The infinity games (We'll see when we get concepts/screenshots) So, the fully 3D world immersion won't be a problem.

Please consider alternate payment methods
Paypal will probably come after the goal is reached. Before that it would be a little dishonest as Paypal immediatly charges you compared to Kickstarter who does so after the project actually ends and gets funded.

Composer for Eternity?
There's a undertone in that answer, its not even an actual answer to the question itself. So why did he answer that way? @Casey Edwards: Like your stuff. Sounds good

So what have I missed?
This is more or less the reason why a lot of people find Obsidian fans incredibly obnoxious. Apparently disliking one of their titles without being braindead/untermensch is impossible? Puh-lease. Yup, the problem is on both sides though. Already have heard multiple times that Alpha Protocol is completly unsalvagable trash and you're a delluded fanboy to think otherwise. Anyway, DSIII: Decent Story, fun. But, (one of) Obsidian's lowest budgeted games and it shows. There's not too much in reagards to choice and there's nothing exceptional. Stil, enjoy it very much though.

Please take care of a pet-peeve of mine - No "loyalty meter"
Yeah, see my edit (And I agree). Though, I want to emphasize the more reactive and independent companions part that activly can play their own parts in sidequests. With or Against the player (and anything *possible* in between).

Please take care of a pet-peeve of mine - No "loyalty meter"
While I do think a similiar system could be handled differently and better.... I WANT to be able to manipulate my companies. I WANT that they can develop differently based on my interactions with them rather than being some static entity. I even WANT that this has influence on quests and how they play out. Maybe my companion does something behind my back based on an earlier conversation, maybe he flees and leaves me to die when we come into a dire situation. (I also want this to happen outside of the mainquest so it really surprises me) Edit: Stupid me. Should read your post better.

Josh Sawyer at GDC Europe 2011
Kickstarter changed the whole situation from last year. So, that's not really fair.

Concerns regarding the game setting
First, that interview was about a specific Torment Spiritual Successor. Not this projet. Secondly, Sawyer talked about "designing a world" a lot this past week so I doubt they didn't spend much attention to it. And the world design seemed to be a collarbation between all of them.

Exploration System
According to Gamebanshee Instead of 3D graphics, Project Eternity uses 2D pre-rendered and hand-painted backdrops, just like old Infinity Engine titles, but improved by modern technology.

Composer for Eternity?
I liked the music in the kickstarter pitch. They could do it inhouse again, no problem with that.

Stronghold/PC base
Depends on how big said stronghold is and if the NPC's would live in it. Also there's no reason why NPC's couldn't have lives on their own, is there? Maybe following a proffession or similiar. Maybe certain NPC's are traders and are unavailable for a certain time, but come back helping the homegrown economy. Ah, that brings up a question.
