Sawyer wrote Icewind Dale II, several things in New Vegas as project director/lead designer (among other things Chief Hanlon)(Not the main story though, that was John Gonzalez) and Honest Hearts from what I know.

George Ziets and no. Due to the cancellation of Sawyer's previous project not working anymore at Obsidian.

If it was a Planescape Sequel - Why is Avellone not 100% on it (Still working on Wasteland 2) or leads it? This seems to be Sawyers project. - Why did Avellone say this?

So who is working on this game?
Short question to confirm something. Were you hired to do QA on the game for Square Enix and after that hired by Obsidian?

(2) I recognize your pain.
Why are people so hung up on "Defiance"? Has it just become a replacement for "Every not picked up Obsidian game"? We only heard from it in ONE interview, talking about something that happened in 2008/9 and IIRC we had no indication that it was even a Sawyer related project. When the Microsoft project was cancelled it was hinted in the press that it was a dark fantasy IP, IIRC. This is definitely not the sci-fi property that Fader et al were working on. Gaming press usually makes a lot of assumptions (just as they do now). As for direct information we had nothing, really.

. X . X X . T X = ETERNITY?
Considering http://kotaku.com/5935737/the-guy-who-made-planescape-torment-tells-us-what-a-spiritual-successor-would-look-like I wouldn't be sure that it's already the spiritual successor to Torment. Also because Sawyer seems to be directing this one.

So who is working on this game?
At this point I think its the project Avellone mentioned in that planescape successor interview regarding a kickstarter they would do first.

You're mixing things here. "Defiance" was the project which got them in talks with Square Enix resulting in Dungeon Siege IV.

I think (I hope) Alvin was more laughing there at "Rib Crusher Nelson". Though, it's certainly not fair if you're not getting an answer. Anyway, the main reason indie devs are easier to talk to is because they have to answer to no one when talking about their games. Developers under a contract however usually have to watch everything they say to prevent reprucussions on side of publisher. In a seemingly heavily marketed game such as South Park, combined with the quite "troubeling" THQ I can imagine this is even more an issue.- Tim Cain Interview at RPG-Codex
