im still waiting for suikoden 2 to get some kind of re-release, the discs are too rare

my review of mass effect 1-3: if someone were to ask me: "is the mass effect trilogy worth playing?" i would say: "just play the second one, don't bother with part 1 or 3"

woke up sunday and decided to start a new game went to the store got assassins creed 3 got home started it up, 5 hours later: im still doing tutorial missions........ I'll have a verdict on the game once it starts, but i can say for sure that it's only worth picking up if you are an EXTREMELY patient person.

im a full fledged believer in having both PC and consoles skipping consoles means missing games like The Ocarina of Time, or Final Fantasy 6 skipping PC means you never played Fallout, or Myth: The Fallen Lords so you really need to have both if you want to experience the best that gaming has to offer

i genuinely liked the first assassins creed game, 2 was even better, and im expecting i'll enjoy part 3 as well. I'm going to wait for a bit of a sale on it though (probably right after thanksgiving it will be at least $20 off) I really like the american revolutionary war as a setting for fiction/games, so my hopes are very high for AC3 overall, but I'm sad to hear the game has some significant technical shortcomings is there a story in the AC games? i dont know - i never really payed attention. something about ancient clans at war with eachother in different time periods? it's pretty irrelevant to the fun of the series for me

honestly when i play torment i just stay a fighter, max wisdom int and charisma and use punch daggers for reliable (though weak) damage while i let dakkon bring the pain

thinking of starting a new skyrim game, i probably will, but then will get bored after 3-4 hours because i've played it too much already.

been playing mark of the ninja all week. absolutely fantastic, quite possibly my favorite game of the year. I just wish it was a bigger/longer game.

i had to restart, i was getting swarmed by mutons and cyberdiscs and still had not researched plasma weapons yet and was too broke to afford new armor... started over, putting way more focus on earning money early and setting up a good base infrastructure, i think it should be a lot easier this time

i actually think RE4 was the best game. RE4 Code Veronica RE2 RE1 RE5 RE3 i haven't played the others

skyrim is far superior to oblivion, but not fallout 3. those two are pretty close in quality

i just keep bouncing around between games, passing time until the new xcom. i hate this feeling when a game i want is only a few days or weeks away from release and thinking about it keeps me from really engaging with the games i currently am playing

its assassins creed? the animations are identical. exact same engine and animations? weird. did they license that or just copy it?

fixed camera, high detail backgrounds filled with character and individuality. if that can be done in "3d" great, but usually it works better as prerendered backgrounds. even in console games, compare the gorgeous prerendered backgrounds of final fantasy 7 to the giant empty corridors of final fantasy 12... so sad to see the complete lack of details in the "3d" games' backgrounds

i love locational damage, being able to target specific limbs ala fallout would be fantastic (provided they balanced a bit better than fallout 2s "go for the eyes with a guass rifle = win") or is that not whats meant? even if you cant target limbs, and just suffer locational damage, ala deus ex, well, thats ok too i guess, but not as exciting

sounds like it may be worth it even though i wasn't thrilled with part 1. Firaxis xcom coming out soon though, so torchlight 2 can wait till after i play that to death

i thought in DA2 the problem was that even if you equipped new armor, the characters look did NOT change. it made 0 sense
