I'm not bothering with huge multi book series anymore. Malazan is the only one I'm currently involved in, and it will be the last. At least Erikson churned out the books rather quickly, too. Writers like Bakker & Abercrombie too do not go beyond trilogies followed by standalone novels, which is rather perfect.

Now that I think of it, I believe Cook actually wrote the books during his shifts while working at General Motors. That explains a lot in the writing style as well. He also was a Vietnam war veteran IIRC which explains the language, "soldiers acting like soldiers".

Saw Prometheus a while back too. Not sure what all the fuzz was about, then again the hype was nearly non-existant in this vale of tears anyways. I don't even recall seeing any posters for the movie, unlike Battlefield which was total crud.

Read the Black Company. Cook tells in one paragraph what take Jordan, Martin and their ilk 300 pages. The narrator is the camp doctor who basically quickly writes notes in his journals between marches and battles. Goes downhill in the series after that with different narrators but still pretty good compared to the fantasy crap that's on the bestsellers list nowadays.

Not worth reinstalling Origin again for. Thank God for Youtube.

Finished Assassin's Creed. Interesting game with cool setting and protagonist, marred with repetitive gameplay and annoying cutscenes. "Assassins" is also a misnomer since only 3 of the contracts can actually by completed with stealth. Most of the time you're forced into hacking through groups of guards. And, oh yeah, the story started out pretty well but took a nosedive after the eighth or ninth contract. Ubisoft's Prince of Persia game that came out in the same year, is much better than this. Overall, 6.5/10

They should bring in more members of the Batman family but without turning it into a lame kid's movie like Batman Forever/Batman & Robin was. Make a Hush or No man's land movie.

To fully enjoy Dark Tower series, reading some books connected to it like Eyes of the Dragon & Hearts in Atlantis is necessary as well. Even It is connected to it in a way. I wish King (and Straub) would complete The Talisman -> Black House series. Before the last three DT books came out I had expected the protagonist(s) to play a role in DT but nothing came of it. The last three books are a huge disappointment in many ways. Maybe if King hadn't been driven over in 1999 things would've been much different.

Sorry, but any movie with the Black Widow kicking ass can't suck completely. Screw Iron Man, there should be a Black Widow movie. Story is easy, she just needs to face off against her evil counterpart, Yelena Belova.

You haven't played it yet? It is KotOR 3-10. The Sith Inquisitor storyline is better than anything in KotOR 1 & 2. I'm saving up this quote for when I'll be playing the F2P.
