  1. Boots of speed can get you into sticky situations...
  2. Greater adaptability through Grimoures and buffs that make you very tanky, as well as having lots of dps.
  3. I'd say: Drop Evoker and pick clean Wizard. Use Llengrath's Safeguard--it has a very long duration and if you proc it in one fight, you can carry it over to the next. Pick only Zealous Focus, you won't benefir with the armour from the Zealous Endurance and the heal won't be that strong, too. Possibly look into upgraded Lay on Hands for no Interrupts and upgraded Gilded Enmity for 1 zeal back on kill. Unless you come up with some other gizmos to make you uninterruptible, drop the Vaporous Wizardry and use several different tomes like Ninagauth's and Iron-clasped. Iron-clasped in particular is very potent against bosses. I don't know how that tome will interact with the helm that gives you Uninterruptible. Use your Slickens in a long fight. You can have up to 3 with Nemnok as a pet, provided you want to use Fleetfoot. You could also make space for some Morning Star action, use the -25 Fortitute and cheese some Combusting Wounds with +10 accuracy from Focused Flames. Personally, I don't like your rings. An Arcane Knight can resist everything in the game. Possibly look into the Giftbearer's Cloak. That way you can use your Focused Flame for +10 Accuracy on your Scrolls/Nukes/Flame Attack... whatever it's called. Maybe look at Kauru's Prize for the other one. Drop both Mirrored Image and Wizard Double. Use Llengrath's Displaced. No need for Iron Skin, since you're a Goldpact, you can spam your Gilded Enmity with no recovery with that reimbursable talent. Try to see if you can find some gear that downgrades hits and crits. There's a medium shield that does a very good job, plus the modal is quite good for casters. Consider Deleterious Alacrity of Motion in some fights. You will have to manage your hp a bit more, but the buff is very strong. You don't have to use the Maelstroms and Meteor Showers all the time. You can make a small stack of other scrolls which are cheaper and very effective against particular enemies--you'll have to mind their defenses. Look at Insect Swarm, Embrace of the Earth Talon, That Storm(that one that procs each time you hit an enemy or they hit you), Ray of Fire, Pillar of Fire, Pull of Eora, Nature's Mark, Minoletta's Concussive, ect. If you overconsume scrolls you might have to spend too much time refreshing shops. Drop the Stone of Power. It doesn't stack with Potions of Ascension… although you will have to carry quite a bit of those... they do last for the entire fight so they're not that difficult to use. Keep Arcane Reflections in mind. Sometimes it can win fights easy. Having a spare tome with those around can help a lot. Or maybe even pick one of them. Scrolls heal quicker than potions. You can use mediocre healing scrolls with +healing done buffs to great success. Consider picking a bread an butter nuke like Ninagauth's Freezing pillar. It's a great 'budget' skill that will easily see you to 20 and beyond. You can use Battle Worn Grimoire at the start of the game. It has Chill Fog, Combusting Wounds and Minor Blights. That alone will see you to 16. Don't forget about Nature's Resolve.
  4. If you're going that route, why not look at some of the Chanter's Gizmos and see if you like something.
  5. Have everybody eat Shark Soup. Have your Wizard use Sandals of the Waterlilly from the Deck of Many Things. Have him eat Crusted Swordfish. Move around the map so that the small spiders pile up in front of Mommy, so that she can't get close. Use unlimited resources from Ancestral Cheese to... cheese, I mean heal and stuff. You can control how many small spiders die like that.
  6. 1. The Paladin would use the PC reputations. 2. You can use multiple auras. They won't stack with Fighter's Stances.
  7. You can very well do with it a Rogue/Wizard and why not? Albeit Arcane Veil has got a short duration of about 25-30 seconds when properly speced into, that does give you ample time to kill a lot, if not all, of the stuff, especially where Citzal's Lance is concerned. PS: Chill Fog would help somewhat with that. Though, I immagine you wouldn't want the lower recovery.
  8. I know, I know... It's not the Deadfire's Hearthy Breakfast. Circumstances are circumstantial. EDIT:ops… deleted pic
  9. Not quite sure what you want to say with that x). Anyways... Wait, you think so? I'm used to people saying it the other way around, but I haven't played DOS 1 or 2. Like I said, game starts quite strong and it just slowly comes to a point where it sort of shrugs and tells you: 'That's all.' Deadfire has a number of problems that do exist in DoS2, as well(ironically). DoS1 is a bit of a different beast as the tone and combat there are quite different. All in all, Deadfire does come out of the water a bit more dry. Multiplayer is always fun(even in BGEE), if you can find somebody who is not after a grind fest and/or will not aggro everything. I actually do want to run the game on For Honour under Definitive, but people are not that organized.
  10. Mmmyeah... Deadfire is a league above in a number of departments compared to DoS 2.
  11. Why share here?... But something more on topic. The first Chapter of the game is actually very good. It doesn't get better from there, though.
  12. Glazed Chops would be fairly easy and good as pork goes well with roasted pineapple. I'd marinate the chops in little white wine and pineapple juice, as that one tenderizes the chops. After that some salt, little pepper and sugar, oven roast until slightly brown, then put pineapple slices on top, sprinkle some brown sugar and finish. That way you skip all the pan frying as it's quite messy. You can eat with a large potato boiled in the microwave for extra quick no hassle. PS: if you can find gammon, that will be even easier than raw pork but just as tasty.
  13. Oh boy... clever and obscure easter eggs instead of more engaging mechanics x)... sure.
  14. Having a chanter abouts is the easiest way. Other than that just kill them as quickly as you can.
  15. Well... The highest single target damage--surpassing 1000, is made with a monk. Helwalker/Cleric, human, Deltro's Cage Helm and self mutilaion with Maelstrom Scrolls x).
  16. Don't forget 'em micro'ransactions for some awesome, community-developed pets!
  17. You can always respec your character at any merchant to try out different setups. You gain quite a bit from being a Ranger, actually. For one you can buff your own animal with various Cypher gizmos and you gain accuracy from your Ranger side to better use debuffs. You can spam Marked Prey around, build focus fast, then debuff and spam damaging abilities with more accuracy then vanilla Cypher. Possibly even getting focus back on crits. If you use someone with clubs, your Borrowed Instincts will never miss, provided your target is marked, you have that Cypher passive(+10 Accuracy vs Will) and your animal friend is attacking them as well. Your pet can tank quite a bit later on with a few buffs, btw. Check them out.
  18. Recruiting members: 'Hey, friend! Wanna join up with us?' 'Why yes, please!' 'Ok... Well... your other friend is after us now... quickly, new friend, run to the edges of the screen before they initiate conversation with PC!'
  19. I'd advice to pair Soulblade with Black Jacket. The cooldown reductions you get on switching weapons, the various weapon modals and the debuffs/buffs you get from Cypher sinergise better than with Paladin, imho.
  20. At No Mutants Allowed folks are much more suspicious of Micro$oft... and rightly so.
  21. Why not? People may post opinions on how you can improve if you ever want to increase difficulty .
  22. You can always add Adriatic Glow on top of that for another +1 cast on level 1. Slicken after Chill Fog will generate much needed space and time. Once you see how good it actually is, you won't go back.
