Are you ready to enter the tomb?
Stargate: 2000 replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
When I first heard that Korriban was back in the game I thought that would be the place we would meet the MSG, but since watching the korriban fly-by I think this might be where we meet revan who has been there ever since he dissapeared trying to rebuild his/her memory of the events leading up to the brain washing by the Jedi. The figure at the end of the trailer located just past the feild of veiw of the camera looks like revan dressed the way he/she was when they were the Dark Lord. It might just be me but since they dissapeared on korriban it does seem the most likely place that we would find him/her. -
When underwater and in space
Stargate: 2000 replied to Zach Morris's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Cursed the developers for putting it in, in the first place. -

Will it be localized in Russia?
Stargate: 2000 replied to waiveddreams's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
will what be localized in russia???? -
Hey now! I don't see what differences it would make if the company was based in the states. Sure bio is based in canada but even if they were based in the states they more than likely wouldn't have done anymore research than they did.

Acctually the Xbox had the free look option... I guess thats what you would call it anyway. If you pressed the right joystick in it would switch to the first person veiw and you could look in all three axis (you just couldn't walk while doing it).

If KotOR was made into a movie...
Stargate: 2000 replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Bastila - Angelina Jolee (sp?) Jolee - Gotta be that Danny Glover. I have to agree with you on this one. Canderous - The Terminator! Arnold would make a good Canderous I think. or maybe Vin Desiel? Carth - Johnny Depp... whats more fun than watching carth get killed in the end? watching Johnny Depp get his but kicked!! Mission - Not a clue Revan - Hugh Jackman. -
Where will you learn new powers?
Stargate: 2000 replied to OrganisedChaos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I guess I missed something but can someone please provide a link to whichever article or thread that mentioned that we had to be taught force powers? -
no it hasn't, but it has been speculated on by many people that she is. The XBN review hinted at the fact that she might be blind, and so far those are the only things we have to go on. There is a comment by AnthonyD which is posted below which questions whether or not she is infact blind, though some are choosing to belive that he was hinting at the fact that she is and others are choosing to take it at face value and belive that she isn't. Really? Are you sure? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was hoping you could answer that <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Some would say that I just did. *Jedi hand wave* <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Separate forum for spoilers?
Stargate: 2000 replied to Astatine's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I understand what your saying and I agree with you on it, thats why I said that as long as people continue to apply a label of spoiler to mag reviews/info in that catagory then things should go ok. there are two major problems with that idea. The main one KOTORFanactic listed above, the other is that by creating two seperate forums you run the risk of not only setting off another flame war, but also having people who either don't want to post in a set forum/forget which forum they are in, or who feel slighted because of it posting in the general forums anyway. If they were going to do anything I would sugest they take the advice above and create the spoiler forum but I still feel that without either a clear set definition of what makes info a spoiler it would just be easier to label any thread that potentially contains spoiler material either *SPOILER* or *Potential spoiler* to save the confusion. -
Separate forum for spoilers?
Stargate: 2000 replied to Astatine's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
But the question has to be asked what makes it a spoiler? any info from this point on could more than likely be called a spoiler. So with that being said as long as everyone who chooses to post new info on the game includes at least some reference to it being a spoiler I don't see the problem with it. Because if you choose to have a seperate forum for spoilers there probably wont be anything left in the general discussion forums other than general banter and EU disscussions. I guess what would have to be done if they decided to make a seperate forum would be to have some type of rules as to what make info a spoiler and whats not then I guess it might work. -
ummm.... who doesn't <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who doesn't doesn't believe in god? I don't know who doesn't <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually I was refering to the affection for explosives, I just kinda forgot to edit the qoute.

ummm.... who doesn't

First off great work and thanks for the info. Second is GI the full name of the mag or just a short form? and where did you buy it (i.e. country)? I would like to buy it thats why I am asking.
-
Thanks! Great work

yes it has <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When? Link? I still think that "Darth Nihilus" can't exist, by definition, and must be a joke :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The above qoute from Akari came from the thread titled "A name for the masked dude"

What if force powers were alignment-bound?
Stargate: 2000 replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
umm why not??? its an offesnsive power and it inflicts harm on another person, by definition that kinda makes it a DS power -
Yeah they made the search functiom for a reason.

Final villian is it Revan?

I know its just as likely that we will be the apprentice rather than the master but when you look at the prestige classes its entirely possible that we could be the master and not the apprentice. Also if we were just going to be the apprentice then why are the devs so tight lipped about it? I mean no one would have complained back when it was first announced that the game was fallowing the master/ apprentice form, if they had said that we are the apprentice and not the master. If they turn around now and say it then there will be some people who will be upset because they thought that they were going to have the chance to be the master. I think what you will find in the game is that one of the NPCs that can join your party will only join if your a Jedi Master or Sith Lord with say maxed out alignment (because it has been said that some NPCs wont join if your the wrong alignment or don't meet their requirements). I know its all just wishful thinking on my part but then agian anything is possible.

Please make KOTOR 2 longer!
Stargate: 2000 replied to SteveMcCool's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
20 hours?????? Did you even read the dialogue? You certainly couldn't have actually listened to it all....especially while doing all the sidequests. 20 hours???? On your first try???? You are the uber-gamer that has transcended into gaming lore. I zipped through the game, without doing all the sidequests, and still took 30 hours. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I played through the game in just over 17 hours and I still managed to do around 75% of the side quests (not my first play through). Oh and NO I didn't listen to the dialoge I just skipped through it. I think if they made TSL around 50 - 60 hours long it would be a length. I would just feel a bit more rewarding when it was finished. I know after I played KOTOR the first time I was excited until I realized that it had only taken me 38 hours to beat, I guess was kinda looking for having it take me more like twice that length. -
But they're not. They're just using a ruleset that is similar to the d20 ruleset, since there are differences. Since they are not adhering to the d20 ruleset, I don't feel they need to be restricted to it (since they are not using it....just something similar). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Even if they were going to use it as a base for the way the game works I still don't see why they should limit the game play since they have already said that the majority of the enemies you will face in the game will scale up according to your level. So with that being said it wouldn't matter if you were level 90 because the rancor around the corner will still be a bit of a challange to your character.
