  1. I agree with this staement right here, and is what i will do in my first playthrough. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> same here, though second time will undoubtably be DS for both.
  2. for more info on NPC's go to this thread but be warned there could be spoilers
  3. Taken directly from the October issue of XBN magazine. Mind Your Maker One thing is for certain: your hero is not Revan, protagonist from the first Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic, and so much be created from scratch. The character-creation screens for Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic II - The Sith Lords will be instantly recognizable
  4. Taken straight from the October issue of XBN "You my young Jedi were stuck in a tank, But now have mysteriously been freed. This isn't Kansas anymore, and it would take more than a rabbinical convention to make things kosher. The poor souls in the tanks flanking yours are all dead. The only living soul to be found, oddly enough, is in the morgue. And she's pertending to be dead until you peak under the sheets. Call her Kreia." "The elderly Jedi Kreia won't initially join the main character to explore Peragus, nor will she offer any insight into the mystery of whos been killing everyone." "The first party member you meet seems like a lesser man's Han Solo. Atton Rand, rouge, wait for you in a holding cell. Your Conversation with him is enlightning; its here that Rand will prompt you to answer whether the Jedi Revan from the original Knight Of The Old Rebilic was a man or a woman. He then casually mentions that Revan went off to Korriban, the Sith homeworld, after the events of the first game and simply vanished."
  5. yeah but I remeber yoda (I think) called Obi-wan and padawan learner during EP1 when Qui-Gon wanted to take anakin on as a student.
  6. can anyone confirm this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the guy shown on the cover of the mag looks like the "assassins" shown in the trailers. Its not the MSG.... unless they have changed the way he looks too
  7. Because a society will eventually reach a plato (sp?) where no new technology will be invented only minor advancements, ergo it possible that the Star Wars universe would have already reached such a Plato (sp?). I realise that some people out there would have prefered that KOTOR follow the example set out by TOTJ but if that was the case then it more than likely wouldn't have been quite as popular and more than likely we wouldn't be here at all because there wouldn't have been a second game in the franchise. They (being LA, BW, & M$) needed to make the game apeal to as many people as possible and to do so they needed to pick feel for the game that was familiar to the mass public and not just a percentage of the public.
  8. "I'm going to kill you till your dead!!" or "kill them till their dead!!!" "How much for that gizka in the window" "heres your order of deep fried selkath, oh and try our gizka sauce they go well together" sion "{pcs name} they lied to you!" PC "What do you mean?" Sion "I am your uncle" PC "UNKIE!!!..... Aunt selma said you were dead!" Sion "I was.... can't you tell?" PC "whew I thought that was me!"
  9. I understand your grief but everything must be coherent in SW and if TOTJ was earlier bioewaree should respect its vision of star wars.... BECOUSE George Lucas himself decided about these contradictions. And these are the movies. And KOTOR is just another game made NOT by Lucas but by some uneducated canadian lackeys. Not to mention that TOTJ was created also by Lucas. Are you so lazy that you didn't read previous posts in this thread? How many times do I have to tell that TOTJ is more official that most of EU novels? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> are you a lawyer by anychance?
  10. as do we all, all I was saying was I would imagine that all the dlc that will be available for the xbox will be available for the international though I could be wrong on that, I just hope I am not or else these boards might revert to the past arguements between us xboxers and everyone else.
  11. Over 50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? That's just wrong... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> nope thats just being board... really reall REALLY board
  12. I would imagine that all the DLC avilable for the us Xbox would be available for the international release as well. Also I would imagine that all new xbox DLC would be available to international xboxers when it would become available.
  13. only T3 and Canderus would be left in the game because you had to get both of them and you couldn't kill them. also to continuity I say no mainly because they will more than likely ask if you finished it LS or DS and they will more than likely just take the extreme verions of the play throughs to guide which characters show up( i.e. if you LS then everyone shows up and if you went DS then only HK T# and Candy-many show up)
  14. there is three ways I can see this playing out 1) the PC users will get their own original content (like xboxers get when the game is released) 2) the PC users will just get the same content that the xboxers get at time of release. 3)the content on the pc version will be available for DL with the xbox shortly after the games release on PC, meaning the xbox will get two DLC packages where the PC users will only get one at first. all of which will set off another arguement on the boards.
  15. what red and white things?
  16. but the were there for DLC
  17. Here's hoping that the devs are still reading this thread Will how you answer the questions relating to how you played KOTOR affect your starting alignment in TSL? (i.e. if you finished DS then will you start out as a more DS PC).
  18. "Bane of the Sith" explains how title "darth" appeared. It is bioware's laziness that they didn't make any effort to read this 6-page long shortstory and adapt KOTOR to EU. Why are you trying to excuse their slackness? Yes it could be explained the way you say, but it STILL SUCKS - if we have to invent such things like you make, only becouse morons that were responsible for the storyline were just too lazy to read stuff related to KOTOR times. And you know how long they were doing the storyline? 3 damn years. Enough time to explore this part of star wars and avoid any mistakes I guess. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thanks for the info I didn't know, also I am not trying to explain their laziness I was just asking if it could be explained away that way thats all. Also I didn't know they worked on the script for three years.
  19. ok thanks for explaing that, I honestly didn't know so thanks agian
  20. but its not one vision because everyone would have their own vision of the star wars universe, now if GL did all the work then yes it would be one vision but when multiple people are in the mix then it becomes a colective idea with changes being made with every new addition of material (not trying to argue here just helping correct this sentence and set the stange for a slightly different aguement ). Also has GL ever said when the title of darth came into use? jsut currious, I mean isn't it possible that it could have been used prior to. Also who first wrote the title of "Darth" into comics? I don't know how to explain this but if your going to say "well if it wasn't before [insert name of comic] then its incorrect" then I have to say what about egypt (going kinda abstract to sorta prove a point her so stay with me for just a little while longer) prior to the early 1900's we knew next to nothing about egypt and with every new discovery the history books had to be changed. Prior to the acctual discovery of a tomb the arciologist(sp?) would have been thought wrong or just plain nuts but after the discovery he would have been called a visionary and given honors for his contribution to history. SO why couldn't the same thing sorta be applied to KOTOR/EU I mean if no one used the titles of darth prior to [instert name of comic] then why couldn't it have been lost or forgotten about or whatever other means you would like to apply to this topic?
  21. maybe someone else who knows more about star wars than I should be asking this question, but since no one is then I will ask it. I read someplace a while ago that everything that is star wars must pass approval by GL before it goes into production. Or in other words GL gets a copy of the story boards, manuscript, character design etc. So if GL does have to approve everything that carries the title of star wars, then if KOTOR is such a travestity to the star wars universe then why would he give it the go ahead? I mean if KOTOR just chews up the EU then spits it back out I can't see him saying OK to it, even if it was lining his pocket book. I would have thought that he would have said "well there are a few things that need to be changed before it goes to production". As I have said earlier I know little more about star wars than what is covered in the movies and what I have found on the internet (mainly because where I live I can't get any starwars books) so forgive me if I have some details wrong. Also I am not trying to upset anyone I just wanted to find out if anyone knew the answer to this.
  22. as far as I know basically dark side force powers... though I could be wrong on this.
  23. yeah it does but if you have no life then you need something to take up all the extra time! and yes I would think that we would be in the extreme minority. I also played through it honestly... for the vast majority of the times I played anyway. If I had to guess at the amount of times I have truely beaten the game I would put it at 20 or so I have just gotten so sick of the end movies that I can't even finish the game anymore even if I know it will only take a few hits to kill malak. other than the first two times I beat the game right in a row I spaced out my killing off malak to maybe once every two weeks or so.
  24. Who? I have never played Xenosaga.
  25. Well as one of those so called 'half-wits' (with half the amount of 'wits' more than you I may add!) I've played KotOR to death and any difference in the game is welcome with me! Granted I wouldn't cheat my first 10 or so play through's, after that it gets a little tedious to say the least, so a little change does no harm, so kindly reserve judgement until you know the facts. <_< There, I'm done with my little rant. *whew* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In any game, once you cheat you tend to not play it again as it is simply less fun in the future. Therefore, I'd say that cheats should be minimalized... Then again, when you've played through 10 times, you're probably going to stop soon anyway so taht's the perfect time... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As for myself I have played KOTOR something like 50 or 60 time so far (yes I know I have no life and yes I do have other games just I love KOTOR and when I get board with my other games I play KOTOR) and I only started using the various different cheats recently (around playthrough 48 or so). So I agree with Darth Sirius that when someone puts down someone for using the so called cheats provided with the Xbox version of KOTOR they should atleast ask how many times someone has played the game.
