Bug: Extra Known Phrase
SChin replied to TheWeaver's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hey Weaver, That's odd that your Watcher has the phrase without having given it to him. As for the party members I would have to have someone check with Systems Design to see if they are defaulted to have that ability. Would you be able to send me a copy of your save so I can have the QA and Systems teams investigate this? If needed, you can find instructions on where to obtain save files here. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thank you for letting us know about this Weaver! -
Hello Maaront, I'm sorry you are having this issue as well. The resolution depends on the version of the game you have. If you could answer the questions listed below, it should help me narrow down the fix for you. 1. Operating System(Windows, Mac, Linux) 2. Platform Deadfire is on(Steam, GOG, Origin, MacPlay) 3. Which DLCs is it saying you are missing. You can see this when you hover the mouse over the button. 4. Do you own any of the missing DLC(I'm assuming not) 5. The version of Deadfire you are using. You can see this in the top right of the Title Screen(Ex. v1.1.1.0032 LAX123ABCDE) Thanks Maaront, and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

Some Item Bugs
SChin replied to DnDuin's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hey DnDuin, Systems started looking into these. For the Boots of the White, the thought is that when you get the additional Freeze AR, your total becomes equal to your base AR. If this is true, then the stat should still apply but will now be hidden as it is no longer an outlier with a different AR. I hope this helps! -
hello Scorcherer, I'm sorry you are having an issue with the saves not being available to you. Would you be able to provide us with copies of the affected saves. I want to have the Programming team take a look at these to see what the issue might be and see if they might be able to tweak the files so you can use them again in the meantime. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

Hello Dodecalogue, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have created a bug report for the Programming team to use to see if they can get a fix in for this. If you discover anything else about this, feel free to post it here and I will add it to the report so they have more to work with. Thanks for the help Dodecalogue!

Hey everyone! Kilay is correct in that the ability tree can be seen under the character portrait on the Character Sheet in the 2.1.0 patch. In regards to being able to see the pet health stats, I put in a request to the team to integrate that in the hopes they can do that for you. If you have any other questions about this, please feel free to let us know! Thanks for the support everyone!

Hello Jww, That doesn't sound like the proper way the AI should operate. I'll put a bug report in to have QA and Programming take a look at this scenario with this set up. Would you be able to do us a favor and send us a copy of your save file so they can look at your AI set up as well? If needed you can find instructions on where to find save files here. You can either provide a link to your save file via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Hey everyone! Just thought I'd give you an update that QA was able to reproduce the issue you all seem to be having and Programming is now in the process of fixing it. Please continue to send any new information you may have to support@obsidian.net and I will add it to the bug report so they have the most up to date data to work with! If you do send us information, please link this thread and mention your forum user name so we know what the email is referencing. Thanks for all the help everyone!

Hello Griso, I'm sorry about this character death bug. Another player reported this to us as well, so I have added your save game to the bug report so that the team has more data to work with and get a fix in. We hope to have this resolved as quickly as possible to make your playing experience smoother. Thank you for the help, and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

Hey Ilya! That is amazing news! Thank you for sharing, I'll be sure to let Programming know the result! The failure to close to desktop is a known issue for some users and is something the Programming team is still working on unfortunately. We are super appreciative of your patience while dealing with the crashing issues and hope that the rest of your adventure in the Deadfire is smooth sailing! If any other problems arise, please let us know and we will get on it as soon as we can. Thanks again Ilya!

Hey Ilya! Anything you have will be useful! They already took a look at the information you provided and tweaked some things that may help, but that is something that still needs to be tested and may not be in the game until the end of the month. In the meantime, the Programming team recommended disabling Telemetry to see if that helps. You can find that in the Game tab of the Options menu and just uncheck it. Let us know if that helps

Hello Drkemail, I'm sorry you are running into troubles with the unpurchased DLC blocking your ability to play your latest save games. This should definitely not be the case as you should not have to purchase any extra content to play the base game. I've contacted Apple Support in regards to this issue in the hopes they have a fix for this. I will update you as soon as I get information from them about this issue and what resolutions they have. In the meantime, do you recall what you were doing for each of the blocked saves and would you be able to provide me with a copy of one of the good saves as well as one of the blocked saves. I want to see if we can compare these and find what may be going on. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

Hey Thelee, You've got quite the amount of information about pick pocketing laid out! I'll put it in a report and run it up the chain for Systems to look into. If you have anything to add, feel free to add it to this thread as I will be linking this for them to use as a reference. Thanks for the insight Thelee!

Hello Donnelly, I'm sorry about the progression troubles you've run into. Would you please provide me a copy of your save file where this is occurring. An added bonus would be if you also have the save from before visiting the Palace. I want to have the QA and Area Design teams investigate this issue for you so they can get a fix and get you back on your adventure. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

Hello Talperien, Sorry for the delay in getting back to your email! It was an extended weekend here so it took me a bit longer to get through the backlog of emails and forum posts. Email or Forums are both fine to report to, but I will generally go to the emails first. In case you haven't gotten the email or haven't seen it, I was wondering if you would be able to provide a copy of your gamecomplete.savegame file from Pillars I as well as a save from Deadfire before having that conversation with your soul. We can still investigate the issue regardless, but these would greatly expedite the process. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to the email thread we have at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thanks again, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello Ilya, I'm sorry for the crashes you've been having while trying to play and thank you for putting this all together. I'll put a report together and give it to the Programming team so they can investigate this issue and see about any fixes or settings that may help. If you discover anything else about this, feel free to add it to this thread as I will be linking it for the programmers to use as a reference. Would you also be able to provide a couple of crash logs when the crashes occur? The output_log.txt file is super helpful, but the crash logs provide different information that can also prove useful. If needed you can find instructions on where to find these here. You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your forum username so that we may identify you easily. Thank you Ilya, and sorry for the inconveniences the crashes are causing.

Hey Zack, I have some questions as well as some suggestions on what can be done that may not require programming help. The main question I have is, what game version is showing at the top right of your screen when you are at the Title Menu? It should show at least "v2.0.1.0044 LAX2 -steam"(it may have other letters for the other DLC packs). If Deadfire isn't showing LAX2, then you may want to check your DLC list for Deadfire in the Steam game library and make sure that it is checked. If it already is, completely close Steam and then reopen Steam to refresh the client. Go back to the DLC list and uncheck LAX2 and wait for the update. Once that is done, recheck it and wait for the update then start Deadfire. A thing I noticed from your output log was that it seems you continued or loaded from the Ukaizo Finale save. If you are looking to continue content, then you will want to use the save that is auto created when you trigger the final fleet battle. it should be called PRE-ENDGAME. Let me know if this works for you!

Hello Lepaca! I'm sorry you were running into a crash, but super glad you were able to get past it! Regardless, I'm going to take the information you've provided and add it to a bug report we already have for this so we have more information to work with. If you discover anything else about this, please let us know! Thank you for letting us know and sorry for the inconvenience it caused.
