  1. Engagement isn't wasted with all the items that give boons though. 5 engagements = -25% recovery, +20 accuracy, +15% weapon damage, -25% damage, etc with the right items. Also in my experience the enemies don't break the engagement anyway.
  2. Are bouncing attacks supposed to lose damage every time they bounce? I noticed that firebug damage has an increasing malus (1-.75^bounce#) on each bounce, so either the tooltip is wrong/misleading or the spell is bugged.
  3. I think a couple items got over nerfed. The class balancing I think is good, some builds were just insane. I don't want the game to be balanced around cleaving stance nonsense and swift flurry infinite attacks. I think two handers need a relative buff, perhaps a pen/base damage increase and change some abilities from full to primary attack.
  4. I would go with: 18 8 8 8 18 18. You make up the reflex with a large shield, accuracy with disciplined strikes, and recovery with cleave stance. Three items that work together extremely well together are the Reckless brigandine, Bronlar's Phalanx, and Kapana Tonga.
  5. Anyone have an idea of how to change the models used for unique weapons and armor? I would to change the appearance of certain ugly uniques, or use the zweihander skin with other greatswords.
  6. 2013: PoE is nothing like BG2, why did you have to ruin a good system? 2018: PoE2 is nothing like PoE, why did you have to ruin a good system? They are making so many changes to the game right now I recommend giving it a bit of time. The worst part of the game to me is that it is too easy, but it looks like they are trying to change that (try out beta 1.1). Also I am looking forward to the challenges that they want to add after tuning.
  7. In my opinion, the hardest difficulty ought to require us to pull out all the stops to proceed. You can supplement your party with some custom characters if you find it too difficult, or you can play the game on a lower difficulty. You can also sneak by the looters.
  8. Wish they didn't make Whispers of the Endless Paths garbage. Would have rather seen something like an accuracy or deflection debuff. Or just removed the whole cone thing.
  9. The quantity is good they just need to ramp up the difficulty. I prefer fewer, more difficult, fights. Quite a few abilities could use some toning down as well.
  10. Its almost as if the characters' brains are pre-wired to be sexual... It's nuts! There must not be any storks in Eora.
  11. Yeah I think the reason 2handers are good is because there are really strong uniques. Also he means the Whispers of the Endless paths that you get by combining the two broken swords.
  12. you can get it as soon as you get to nekketakka. Its supposed to be gated by a boss but you can just sneak by him.
  13. The Wahai Poraga secondary attacks are rolling significantly under the base (9-13). I assume this is a bug because the other weapon with a similar effect, Whispers, doesn't suffer the problem. The primary hits within the 9-13 range but the secondary attacks roll a lower value every time I test it.
  14. Bleakwanker has the advantage of the perception resistance perk to go alongside blunderbuss modal. Also paladin+fighter is nigh unkillable. You can only use as many full attacks as your resource pool allows, so you can FoD just as much as you can hobbling shot. On the flip side, I'm pretty sure you can do some bonkers sneak attack 1 shotting with the assassin. Assassin will do more damage and Bleakwanker will do more not dieing I think.
  15. So I didn't realize this until now, but guns are amazing weapons to give your casters. Guns only have reload, and no recovery time so you can always cast your important spells right when you need to, and do consistent auto attack damage in the meantime, especially in the early game. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
  16. The first playthrough I hated the ships, which made siding with Rautai really funny. Now I love it and think its hilarious. With the defiant use the long guns with 6 turns reload, then jibe=>hold=>fire=jibe=>hold=fire. When you get the galleon or junk you can use the double bronzers and (with experienced gunners) just jibe=>fire=>jibe=>fire.
  17. The in-game version of this portrait is so ugly its distracting. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me a filter version.
