Does cleaving stance benefit from int? I think in some people's attempts to min/max they end up making the game more difficult. If you poop away your defenses you may get more damage but you might also explode and do no damage (being dead multiplies your damage by 0). Making glass characters can often make the game harder instead of easier and in those cases can you really call it effective min/maxing? The build he talks about in the vid is a shooting build, but is that more powerful than a cleave build? Is forgoing cleave because you want to dump int really that strong? Is having a min/max tank and a min/max damage dealer really more efficient than having a decent tank that deals solid damage and a strong damage dealer that can take a few hits? (I am not in beta so I really don't know answers). If you pump int instead of tanking it, your 7 discipline could get you 40 seconds of vigorous defense along with 60 seconds of disciplined barrage, which could result in a massive damage swing on account of avoiding disables. I've played obscene amounts of PoE1 and I spent a really long time following NC's builds, but I think often in the pursuit of min/maxing he makes some less than optimal builds. If you have multiple obstacles to overcome, then a jack of all trades is often better suited than a master of one. Also, I have no idea about deadfire but in Pillars 1 reflex was way weaker than constitution and will. In my experience it was usually con>will>>>reflex and that was another major factor that went into choosing stats.

In PoE1 two handers surpass dual wielding about midway I think. You can hit zero recovery with non-speed 2handers at the end of whitemarch1 and that is significantly stronger than zero recovery dual wielding (not taking into account monk fists and full attack abilities). Dual wielding made hitting zero recovery easier, but you can't get faster than 0 recovery so you could reach the same dps with 1hander/shield. Are you sure that the situation here is not similar?

Oh fug we may be looking at another delay... -
Has anyone tried the Unbroken + Streetfighter combo? Haven't seen anyone talk about it yet. Guardian/Mob stance + Persistent Distraction + Riposte seems pretty solid to me and is available pretty quick Also escape to get into the mix due to Unbroken being a bit of a fatty If its not working, whats it missing?

Is that a subclass now?

Just because you see success with a spell doesn't mean it is good. The case that peeps here are making is that your build would be just as strong/stronger if you used a regular weapon instead of summoning concelhauts staff. Draining is a great enchantment but when you have to summon the weapon you are trading a unique weapon property (of a weapon you would otherwise be using) plus 5 seconds of cast time. The success you are seeing may be in spite of the under-powered weapon rather than due to it.

Is the club any good?

My point was that Josh justifies the staff by stating that his wizard does plenty of damage with it. Obviously you lose damage summoning the weapon, so its really a defensive cast. Would a player choose to cast a 5 second "sacrifice unique weapon traits for 20% damage drain" buff? I think the question could be posed differently to fish out a better answer.

Thanks!

So the wiki states that taking the conjurer subclass increases power level of conjuration spells and increases recovery time of non-conjuration spells (plus a few other effects). From what I have seen, the conjured weapons scale off of level. If this is true, does the increased power level effect those spells? Is the increased recovery time additive or multiplicative? According to the wiki most of the enchanting spells that one would normally cast in a melee wizard build have zero recovery. Does the recovery time stay zero? Also, do you keep summoned weapons in 'Form of the Fearsome Brute"? And if so, does its power outweigh the benefit of the enchanting spells you lose access to for going transmuter? Looks like you would retain Lengrath's Displaced Image which seems solid.

But if you took PCP, Krokodil or amphetamines - you would be. There are different kind of drugs - some make you mellow some make you hyper. Coke & meta probably also would help a bit. Fun fact - LSD was actually partially developed also as a chemical warfare agent. For the reasons you mentioned - an army tripping balls is not a very effective army. You gotta admit that its pretty funny that mixing every drug in the game basically turns you into a super soldier. I'm not complaining I think its dope (pun intended) Also: is drug duration affected by Int+alch or just alchemy?

Maybe its the beneficial effect that drugs have on your soul?
