  1. I think they suggested already that carnage would scale off of the number of levels put into barbarian (I forget their word for it)
  2. I think dex trumps perception for the priest. Often times I am buffing up the team before I am debuffing the enemy and dex helps pump out the buffs faster and by the time I am debuffing my priest should have beefed up accuracy anyway. As far as weapons go I think you are eventually going to want to stick to hatchet and buckler. The plan isn't to take hits but it is unavoidable with so many enemies. Raiment of wael's eyes is great until you get shields for the faithful at least (dont think they stack) and is still good when you are conserving casts.
  3. Lol @ getting annoyed at assumptions somebody makes then making assumptions about them.
  4. You guys are insane. There is nothing danker than poking someone with a dagger and exploding them.
  5. I feel like people are ignoring how fleshing out melee classes changes party dynamics. In old I.E. games you had a couple of micro casters and then meatbag melee that were quite passive. A party of all wizards is super powerful and not particularly difficult to manage but is imo extremely tedious and boring to play. More or fewer characters doesn't increase or decrease tactical depth by itself. Fewer characters with more abilities can potentially require more intensive control than a larger party. I think the average player dislikes tedious gameplay. If obsidian is fleshing out the more passive roles then I think it is smart to balance encounters (and therefore design the rest of the game) around a smaller party size.
  6. Fire godlike synergizes really well with this build because lightning and turning wheel buff his retaliation so while you get hit you get even awesomer and kill guys fasterer. You can dump int for per eapecially if you arent using torments reach beacause you arent going to be using up wounds too fast. You just need to hit lighting strikes a bit more often (medium micro).
  7. Flail w/ reliable enchant OP. Imagine all the graze to hit you could have with all that graze to hit.
  8. For sustained auto attack damage I think instant two hander wins (I say think because I dont think that dual weilding affects attack speed animation but I could be mistaken). But so long as you are reasonably overcoming dt threaholds dual wields work better with abilities like heart of fury or flames of devotion because you get double value. The exception being early game firebrand which easily does more damage per swing than two fine weapons (although you are gonna have a hard time hitting insta speed with fb in the early game/ever)
  9. You could leave strength at 10 imo. The extra damage is negligible compared to all the other damage boosts you get. Then you can bump up your defenses and/or dex+per. Agree with dumping int too.
  10. I don't think its a big issue because nobody in their right mind would kill off Eder.
  11. If they are fleshing out classes more then 5 could easily be better than 6. 6 is better when the majority of characters have few potent actives IMO.
  12. I figured I'd offer up the idea of shield attacks remaining low damage but hit with high accuracy and potent interrupt. That keeps the damage/defense tradeoff while granting decent utility to the trait. I also thought bashing could work as a great 'specialization' modal with a dps/utility tradeoff. I feel like it ties in well with the low damage interrupt builds - especially the barbarian. - just copy pasta'd from the other thread. I think its ok for bashing to be a dps loss as-is if it gives utility. I actually would like it more that way. I think it works really well as a modal too with that philosophy.
  13. Hey I recalled on one of the Q&A's somebody brought up bashing. The issue was with the negligible damage and JS said something to the effect of 'we want to tweak bashing but we still want to diminish the offense/defense tradeoff of shields'. What are your guys' thoughts?
