  1. I see people talking about things being retconned but I don't see anyone talking about the idea of an unreliable narrator. What if what the gods claim will happen when the wheel is destroyed isn't true? What if they don't know? Information is only ever given to the player by people in-game so the information may be wrong. Perhaps the Engwithans misinterpreted what was happening with souls. Maybe they created the wheel to fix the "problem" and in doing so disrupted the natural process.
  2. Fighter/Paladin is bonkers. Stacking +20 defense to all afflictions, +21 all saves, and +20 defenses with vigorous defense is nuts. Tons of self heal and you have so much defense that you can easily get away with using a 2hander with cleave (as of right now you can get the axe without actually fighting the grub). Might, dex, int + moon godlike is the way to go i think, devoted with whatever weapon, goldpact is super strong with repeated armor buffs as you don't take many hits, and kind wayfarer is strong with the heal. The brigandine that gives attack speed with every engage + defender stance is really strong for survivability and damage.
  3. I would go paladin + cipher. Bleakwalker + the bonus weapon damage subclass. Use a lashing weapon and you are almost doubling up on your damage bonuses with FoD and you will be plenty tanky for frontlines.
  4. Spoilers: I tested out the effects of another similar weapon, the Wahai Poraga, that has incorrect descriptions of its effects. The real effects are: At blades reach: +8 deflection, -20% incoming melee damage for 2 seconds on attack Dug in: +2% action speed whenever hit or crit in melee (max +20%) Also this is not specified, but it can only hit the primary target twice.
  5. It actually does more single target damage than any other 2 hander I've found. It has innate +1 pen and don't forget that your primary target gets attacked twice (regular hit + aoe hit). So a displayed 15-25 is really 30-50, but also more consistent because you have 2 rolls. also, @ dunehunter, I tried that enchant with a high res/low dex crusader and had a lot of fun
  6. I guess I assumed it was additive because it seems like its not multaplicative. So in game, I have a 6.8 second base reload with -13% dex, +20% armor, -20%, -20%, -20% (from different effects.) The displayed recovery time is 4.0 seconds. How is that number calculated. That doesn't look additive or multiplicative.
  7. It appears that recovery speed modifiers are additive (the sum of the modifiers are subtracted from the base recovery speed) so the more you have of them the better each one becomes. IE: with "instant attack speed" (don't think its really instant so the real benefit is less than what I am showing) -15% recovery gets you 18% more attacks, -30% recovery gets you 43% more attacks, -45% recovery gets you 82% more attacks, etc. Might and Perception have diminishing returns. Every additional damage bonus is less effective than the last, same with accuracy. Am I wrong about recovery speed modifiers being additive? The tooltip indicates that they are but I don't know if that is whats happening in game. My premise is wrong so nvm. Can someone explain the math here though? https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/photo/110148258842465867353/6554906725567633218?authkey=CIuVs_-D_evkDA
  8. Somehow they managed to make Ryngrim's Enervating Terror even stronger than in PoE1...
  9. So after the lighthouse quest, the second time the gods speak to you together, you are forced to take the diplomatic option "He makes for Magran's Teeth". This gives you enough rep for a malus to a Bleak Walker's Faith and Conviction and seems like a weird oversight.
  10. I think not. I rescued the dude and still had the pieces. It may be an error in the save import.
  11. The crushing lash is applied to the cleave hits so I assume that FoD does too. Also sorry about title, is there a way to change it?
  12. You can have a smith reforge the remains. If you made the blade of the endless paths in poe1 (or chose the reforged option) you can reforge that too, or combine them.
  13. Hey so I just checked the bug forum and this isn't a bug: the WotEP greatsword strikes your main target with 1 hit plus the cleave, so the sword ends up being really powerfull even without groups of enemies. Really strong weapon available super soon, great for devoted greatsword build. As Metaphysician figured out, you can give yourself fragments with: GiveItem MiSC_Fragments_Blade_of_the_Endless_Paths
  14. I saw that at least one point, gilded enmity didn't stack with hardy, is this still the case? Also, any clarification on "until struck enough times for the gold to break"?
  15. My plan is to munch on ambien until the game is out. If I don't post back tomorrow I'm either too busy playing or dead. Wish me luck!
  16. It does raise the question, though. How hard would it be to have an option, at a sex scene, for example, to say 'i'm not really into that, but I still like you'. The romance could continue as normal (after skipping the sex), while being inclusive towards asexuals. It'd one one conversation at most in terms of required dev time, not too heavy. Sorry if this is ignorant, but would an asexual person even desire a romantic relationship?
  17. It appears that, overall, taking the beckoner subclass improves summons. If you want to play a well rounded chanter, why wouldn't you just pick beckoner? Does the reduced duration and health really come close to nullifying double summons for -1 phrase?
  18. Yeah what he/she said^. Your tanks can be support, also you have an extra body in the pet. Not all backliners need that much protection either. Wizards can be super tanky especially with a dagger and shield.
  19. Do dots deal full damage to all targets that aren't immune? I see no penetration values with any dot or lash effects
  20. Maybe for immersion you have to change how you think about the stat. Perhaps in Eora physical strength affects the potency of spells. Perhaps the certain strain is put on the body when a spell is cast and the stronger one is, the greater strain they can handle, so more damage/healing.
  21. Here's a go (I tried to make it so there would be no overlap between gods) Rymrgand: +Cruel (apathetic as opposed to sadistic) and Stoic, -Passionate and Benevolent Access to Frost spells Hylea: +Passionate and Benevolent, -Cruel and Aggresive Access to Windy spells Abydon: +Honest and Rational, -Deceptive and Passionate(?) Access to Transmutation spells like vital essence Woedica: +Honest and Aggressive, -Benevolent and Deceptive Access to Some rogue/paladin/fighter abilities like sworn enemy Ondra: +Angry and Stupid, -Honest and Rational Access to mind afflictions like Miasma of Dull mindedness.
