OMG! I just noticed that SWfan's information is from SuperShadow.com "

Do you come from the Deudsche Demmograhhdische Rebublig (DDR)?

Ah, hello Honecker.

Lucas to re-release the Star Wars movies...
jedipodo replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Way Off-Topic
George Lucas remasters one of his films primarily to promote the new 3D-technology and not because he wants to sell a another edition of it. This remastering is very time-consuming and expensive, so I think the complete trilogy won't be finished in this decade (if ever). -
"suck" is such a harsh word... So I voted "no".

Anti-americanism is chic these days. I'm not an American, but may I remind that there is also *other* evil in the world. ==> ,, , etc... That must have been a very long time ago.

Mandalorians are unique in the SW universe and would be unique in the real world as well.

The connection of our Milky Way and the Star Wars universe is highly debatable. This doesn't really contribute to the creditability of the source. Second, no mention of Exar Kun, Marka Ragnos, etc. And most of this text sounds like self-invented crap.
-
Yes, you are right, of course. I thought that we're talking about evil leaders (like Revan was).
-
Believe me, they know better... Which isn't true. Many people didn't know better. believed the where guided by something or somebody to do what the did. Be it god's will or the talking dog. They believe they where doing good things. One rule in the bible is they shall not kill. However more bloody wars and death was cause by the same people who claim to follow this teaching. Or take the greatest pacifist of all time jesus christ and look home many people killed in his name. Do I think these people where evil no just misguided. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The people who plan and command such acts DO know better. They definitely know why this is good for them and not for a "greater good". Even religious wars have political motives: It is all for power. Generally, the leaders don't believe in their own BS. Believing in a good purpose has always been the role of the naive crowd. Back to topic: You can find answers to some of your questions in the offical SW databank: The Jedi Order The Sith

Vader was troubled... and that very much. The honorable motives of Master Revan are wild guesses of the fans. Believe me, they know better...
-
Yes, maybe it is. In my opinion even the Jedi understood "balance of the force" differently. They saw their force powers diminish and hoped for the "chosen one" to strengthen their connection to the force.
-
In the SW universe the ability to "hear"/use the force is a naturally given feature. Only few individuals have it. But most of them aren't homicidal maniacs. If they were however they wouldn't spawn (natural selection), but kill each other. Therefore I think that the Jedi Order, as well as their knowledge of the force, already had to be there as a birthplace for a future Sith Order. Basically Sith Lords are nothing more than troubled former Jedi who degenerated (this could be a shocking realisation for some "Darths" here on the forums... ).
-
That's not how I understood it... As I understood it, those fallen Jedis merely re-discovered the Sith teachings. The original Sith where some odd species, thought to now be extinct - while these new Siths where merely following a bunch of ideals... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The fallen Jedi were the masters and the native Sith people only were their poor slaves. Over the centuries many of them interbred. The name "Sith" remained. At the time of Kotor their descendants are refered to as "the original Sith".

I think that the dark red color "bites". I know that there are also better choices, but which way would it look like if you replace the red ("330000") with "005555"?

And I always wondered why your Avatar is black and white...

Fortitude: -122 ?

This "Coming soon" has become a running gag.

Nobody said anything about that additional RAM or a faster harddrive replaces a better graphics card! If you look upon a PC only as a gaming platform, I strongly disagree. I asked warstrekkid what he uses his computer for, because I couldn't see that his question only aimed at graphics performance.

Probably LA's Q&A found some problems with the patch and reported the issue back to OE. What other purpose is testing good for...?!

kotor 2 + new laptop = playable?

Is this perhaps an argument for the introduction of the Euro in UK... I think Dell's Dollar and Euro prices are nearly the same. -
Ok, here's my list of fixes for TSL:

I don't get it, why do you still keep your ATI card, although you have a so much better card from NVidia?! Please explain. -
PC version: why performance so poor?
jedipodo replied to PinkJedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Do you realize that this are two big wishes at once? -
There are many options for upgrading or maintaining your hardware. For example, everything regarding memory (RAM / harddrive) can have a high impact on the overall performance. But I think the available software options are rather small. Generally, software only slows down your system . Reinstalling, removing or maintaining your software/OS can restore the performance of the day you bought your computer, but don't expect it to become significantly higher than that. What do you use your computer for most? Gaming? Office tasks? Or other? In which situations and with which applications do you encounter bothering slow downs?

The only problems I experienced with ATI's X800 XT graphics card were similar to your's. I had the gamma issue (which can be corrected easily). The only frame rate issue occured on the first Dantooine map (but this was an extreme one). Against some people's opinion here, I'm sure that this issues have nothing to do with any ATI hardware failures.
