Try that and tell me if is a little better Extract in override folder and enable it via Mod Manager inside the game (create this folder in Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data if you haven't it) https://mega.nz/#!m0AGUQpK!29YgNHmgMiDItB73t8KjJx2OEWvswbQpp-UyJV5ixtI reduced health gained to 210 and health subtracted to 70 in reviving exhortation, also added a bonus of 15% action speed with hastening exhortation (like DAoM) Wow if this can be fixed by a fan, why it takes several patch and not fixed by dev :/ It's not a nerf, so it isn't a priority.

AI Editor - Wizard problem
Manveru123 replied to klajton's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Ill get this added with the information we have that grimoires are the root of the cause They are not. The root of the cause is a ****ed up translation file. If you change the game to English, suddenly everything works fine. -
Considering that this weapon does friendly fire, it will probably do more harm than good. Unless you micro and position carefully I guess. So... you don't know I presume. Nope. I stay away from weapons with friendly fire, because I like putting my martial fighters on an AI script. This poll doesn't mean anything in the long run. Every class in the game is strong, the difference is, how early does that strength come. For example mid-to-high level Priest striking potential is at least on par with a Wizard.

Level 9 priest/druid/wizard spells good but they will have a lot of catching up to do. This is L7 AOE & Duration spell, with Fire keyword and it doesn't damage friendly targets A fire based offensive focused Paladin/ Priest of Skaen could be a very nice strong build then. That gives me ideas. Can even be a Tier A (top) build. Bleak Walker+Preist of Skaen or Priest of Wael. Great defensives, utilities and fire damage single target flames of devotion+priest spell aoes. I'm quite sure it does damage friendly targets and it always did. Try single Priest of Berath, between Storm of Holy Fire and Symbol of Berath you will explode everything with ease. Problem is, this character peaks at high level :/

Ekera
Manveru123 replied to InBetween's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Ekera, it is so. -
Because it has great story, is visually pleasing, has amazingly written characters, deep lore, many amazing sidequests, very open world, phenomenal soundtrack.. there's a lot. I only got into Witcher 3 after it went GOTY because earlier I thought that it's not my type of the game. How wrong I was. The only thing I didn't enjoy very much was combat, but only because I'm not normally into aRPG games and to be honest I kinda suck at them. Go to X and do Y feels like.. I don't know.. every single game ever created that has a single-player story campaign? Play sports games if you don't like that. Also, I'm pretty sure that every person individually decides what's fun for him/her.

Xoti: replace Monk with Paladin Tekehu: replace his Chanter's subclass to literally anything that isn't dumb Fassina: replace Conjurer with same as above I was extremely disappointed when I recruited Fassina. She would be such an amazing character if it wasn't for that dumb subclass. Yes I know I can just use an editor but I'm trying to avoid doing that.

If a game screws you over when you play it, how likely are you to recommend it to your friends? Yes, that's like I said. They're trying to cater to everyone all at once and it backfires. Too impatient. Do big changes in DLC, do not force them down the player's throat a month after the release! It is of course not the only reason for worse sales, but a significant one. They released the game at the best possible moment, a few months before the market gets flooded with new, hot releases (this happens pretty much every year before Winter). If they have poor sales during that window, I don't expect them to come back up anytime soon.

I'ts not hard to see that both this forum and reddit are filled with people disappointed in the game. And Obsidian, instead of holding its ground and focusing on minor changes and bug fixing, keeps overhauling it to try to cater to everyone. Completely randomly, not by releasing big changes with e.g. a DLC or an expansion pack. This is the result, and it's something I've said elsewhere some time ago: games like these are not meant to be balanced for months after the release, because it makes their sales suffer. I'm guessing if actual sales number don't convince them, nothing will. Pillars got through this phase by being something fresh. cRPG genre was a wateland at that point and Pillars 1 filled it, so it sold pretty well despite the developer's approach. However, as you can see, you only get one chance to get away with this kind of design philosophy. All I hope for at this point is that they manage to scrape enough to get POE3 going. And that they finally create an MMO game, where they can go bonkers with all the balance they want!
