Politics and Statesmenship: A Forum Special Report
My wife will likely vote for any Democrat that faces Trump but I can't see myself voting for Biden. Others I don't really care for are Booker, Klobuchar, Castro, and Harris but I just haven't paid much attention to most of the others at this point. I like Sanders and Gabbard but am waiting until the field gets a lot narrower before I really dive into it. If I don't care for whoever gets nominated then I'll probably be a 3rd party voter again this year.

I haven't watched anything of this season but it seemed like marriage was the best option for Jon and Dany after Jon's totally non-obvious parentage reveal.- What you did today?

Easter always makes me think of my mom so it's kind of a sad day. The weather isn't helping much either. Went to Home Depot to get the carpet replaced in the condo. That was my day so far.- Happy Easter All

You should have seen the confusion on my wife's face when BTS was on SNL. Priceless.- The All Things Movie Thread
I don't have a problem with those you mentioned because it's more silly. When it's serious business time travel as opposed to timey wimey stuff I think is where it differs for me.- The All Things Movie Thread

I've never watched Breaking Bad. I know it's supposed to be great but the subject matter has absolutely zero appeal to me. Same with the Wire, just not something I care to see. I've said before that I kind of liked the things Johnson was trying to do in TLJ but they didn't work for me in the context of a middle Star Wars movie and maybe I'd like his own stand alone trilogy much better. I think that still stands.- The All Things Movie Thread
Watched Brick and Looper I did actually like Brick but didn't really care much for Looper. It might have been my dislike for time travel that just made me be a view it a little more critically but I thought that it had a lot of holes in the story. Maybe as a "don't really think about it" type of movie I might have enjoyed it more. I did like it more than TLJ though so there's that. I'll upgrade Johnson from 0-1 to 1-2.- Politics and Statesmenship: A Forum Special Report
My only problem with an all volunteer service is that is has been leading us into developing a kind of warrior caste. The greater population has no investment in the military and therefore less interest in how they are used.- TV & streaming thread
I also never forgave Janeway for murdering Tuvix or the crew for not defending him in the slightest. I do think these kind of morality episodes are probably my favorite but in this case I don't recall that Tuvix even got a trial like Data did to prove his personhood. Might need to rewatch. Janeway is easily my least favorite headlining captain of all the Trek series. Though I still haven't started season 2 of Enterprise and barely remember season 1.- TV & streaming thread
I've still never forgiven Voyager for changing Nick Locarno into Tom Paris.- Politics and Statesmenship: A Forum Special Report

I've been waiting for any excuse to post this We started watching the Rookie just for Fillion. I think we're only like 3 episodes in and it's better than we thought it would be but it still doesn't fill that Castle shaped hole in our hearts. That reminds me, I've been meaning to rewatch Slither. E: autocorrect on my phone changed Fillion to filling me... or does it know something I don't E2, Brute: We laughed so hard at the club scene on the Orville.- Pictures of your Games 11 - The Quickening

Best part for me was when That said, I didn't hate it but I've completely given up on it being what I want or look for in a Trek show. Pike was my favorite part of the second season so I'd be down for that series. It seems like the episode could have doubled as a back door pilot anyways. Bonus points for edit 32: more redactions than the Mueller report- Fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral
I totally didn't share that link for the picture of Salma Hayek either, nope. - What you did today?
