  1. The only thing I did differently was to add wine instead of water when the liquid got a little lower but I didn't need to add much and mostly did it because I didn't want to have an open bottle of wine around (and going to waste) and was channelling Gerard Depardieu from the Last Holiday. I don't usually like experimenting too much the first time I use a recipe but next time I make it I may be more adventurous but at the same time it came out so great, so...
  2. Yes, it's south of Tucson and maybe a 4 hour drive from Sedona depending on traffic as you'll have to pass through or around the largest two cities in AZ. Slightly closer to Sedona I'd recommend the Petrified Forest National Park (and Painted Desert) and is about 2 hours east and Meteor Crater is on the way. Montezuma Castle National Monument is less than an hour south of Sedona and I can recommend that as well but I haven't been there in probably 2 decades. If you ever do make it down to the Tucson area then I can recommend more as that's where I'm from
  3. ^ It's 1,2, and 4 for me as the played the first game entirely in 3rd person but I do also think TN is already probably right about it being on all platforms at launch at a time is also a factor. The timing kind of worked out perfectly with all the Epic shenanigans going on. I'm sure 3 is also a huge factor for a lot of others though. Regarding 2, I've been so starved for a vampire (lowercase as I'm not familiar with uppercase much outside of the previous games) RPGs that I nearly got that Vampyr game but the gameplay and camera were really offputting to me and I'd prefer modern urban fantasy/horror over pretty much anything else for such things. Question to those who are familiar with Vampire, how would we go from being a thinblood to some ultra-powerful vampire? Diablerie?
  4. I've never actually seen Night of the Lepus but I've been to Colossal Cave about fifty-eleven times and they love to mention all the movies that have filmed there.
  5. I used everything pretty much exactly as you mentioned it but I used both carrots and parsnips and did go with the prunes over the raisins or sugar. Every time I think of prunes I flash back to the TNG episode where Guinan gives Worf prune juice. It's a warrior's drink!
  6. Wrong thread
  7. We've finally started watching this past weekend and I'm starting to think this show just isn't for us even though we're huge Trek fans. It doesn't feel like Trek to us and I know that's pretty nebulous but it's kind of hard to put into words why it falls so short of the mark. My wife turned to me and said I think I'd rather rewatch Voyager which is our least favorite Trek show that we've seen to the end. Speaking of Voyager Tuvok (and the characters Tim Russ played on TNG and DS9 whose names I'm ashamed I don't know off the top of my head) was on the Orville. A real WTF moment
  8. You can get silencers and actual assault rifles and even machine guns here in the US but you have to go through the gov't and they are pretty pricey increasing from left to right as I listed them. Not sure if you guys have a different definition of assault rifles but ours is based on firing function and caliber not cosmetic or ease of use features. Now our assault weapons definitions vary by locality and always include cosmetic and ease of use features I'm generally for expanding the SCOTUS though I think it should be in a phased approached so one person/party can't stack the deck. I also think they need to adopt a code of ethics and having more members will allow them to recuse themselves more easily as I've seen that excuse used before as to why they haven't when they probably should have. But that's just like my opinion, man.
  9. My favorite gin drink is something I like to call the Bombay Sapphire and you don't have to use Bombay Sapphire gin either. Gin and a dry ginger ale and just enough blue curacao to make it the same color as the bottle the drink is named after. Sweet without being cloying and as strong as you want to make it. I generally serve it on the rocks.
  10. GOG said March 31 2020 but I'm pretty sure it's just a placeholder
  11. I thought Owlcat did a good job in their first outing because even though the game was super buggy it was a lot of fun. I think maybe they went with a dev with a shooter background to make sure the gunplay/combat is solid and they've brought in both Mitsoda and Avellone which makes me feel warm and fuzzy about the story. I've already drank the Kool-Aide and put 90 quatloos on the highest edition. Just an FYI so you know my bias
  12. Seems like Mitsoda is involved as well
  13. I just pre-ordered Bloodlines 2 on GOG. But it looks like it's also on Steam and Epic. Paradox store too but I guess that was pretty obvious.
  14. Have any red or even purple states signed on? If not then I don't see the point really as those blue state votes are going Dem anyways
  15. Thanks for that, LC. Today was the first day I ever opened it on purpose and all I did was install a free game and play it for all of 2 minutes.
  16. The self loathing? Spent half the day putting whatever dangerous chemical concoction on the stairs only to have a dog freak out and bum rush the kiddie gate I had up and ruin most of my work. Also, making a pot roast with the recipe I got from Gromnir. Smells so good I might have to go dark side instead of light side even though chicken soft tacos are on the menu tonight.
  17. Good on NZ I guess. Not really how I would go about it but then there's probably a reason I'm not in charge of anything. Would prefer to make guns harder to obtain rather than harder to use
  18. Not sure exactly as all I have is Win 10 but I'd guess it's not built into the OS. Not sure if they can't just use the web store https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/games/windows
  19. I just tested the Windows store and I didn't hate it. Nothing to download, sign up for, or configure. Just putting that out there for those that don't want Epic or to install an additional client
  20. I just installed a game from the MS store for the first time just to test it. Easy peasy, nothing extra to DL, and pretty fast too. I'm not really all that interested in TOW though because even though Fallout is probably my favorite video game series of all time, see my username, I could never get into the newer ones. Not even New Vegas.
  21. I typically do 5 sets of 20 throughout the day. A set when I wake up, a few at work because my job is so sedentary, and the last one at night. I do Marine Corps push ups though which is a 4 count push up and is basically 2 normal push ups. Everything else is pretty much determined as the day goes on because I'm lay capital Z and self loathing can only take me so far
  22. Again, I'm going to need examples because it sounds to me like you mean a few different things like buying Steam keys elsewhere or having access to game that is no longer sold but once was (GOG does this too when games are pulled). A store page is not the same thing. Unless I'm still misunderstanding you it seems unlikely that Obs/MS/PD will put the game on Steam at launch (and update and support it there) and sell Steam keys a year before they will allow Steam to sell it and that's if Steam even allows it. It may not be an impossible thing to do but I think it would be very unlikely as currently it's a timed semi-exclusive to their own store (MS Store) and Epic
