I got to Gilded Vale on my first (and only) playthrough, lost a bunch of items as I was testing how character dismissal worked, saw a ton of issues being reported on the forums and decided to avoid playing the game altogether. Thankfully, this gave me the time to finally complete Dragonfall (now, that's a kick-ass game).

A couple of bugs I noticed (0534 version)
the burn/flame effect is missing when attacking with a spiritshiftted druid who's using Wildstrike Burn disabling the "Detailed Quest Updates" option shows them anyway (the option simply removes the "+" symbol and displays the extra information) "Show Relative Defenses" option makes no difference - the tooltip always displays full defense values the fix to journal dates doesn't get applied retroactively; most of my quests are still in the 20K+ year range

More? I was looking to start playing when the 1.04 version lands, and I wouldn't mind the bug (that much if the health increase wasn't enormous.

1.04 Patch Beta Live on Steam
Do we have to start a new playthrough for the beta build?
- Defenses and afflictions don't stack properly
- Boots of speed and archers gloves bug

- no fix for abilities getting stuck as "already activated" - no fix for (randomly) varying movement speed among characters - no fix for perma health increase after fighting guls - no Sanitarium hostility fix Yeah, this is the last time I pre-order anything.

Fixed issue with Wizard's summoned magical items getting stuck after save and load. Wizards will be restored to a proper state after loading a game. A summoned weapon will not unequip the grimoire. Previously Wizard summoned items could persist after the spell's duration. This has been fixed and it will also retroactively fix the problem in saved games that have characters with this issue.

Cypher spells losing int boost
It has been reported before and, as far as I recall, it's only a visual bug, i.e., the AoE is still buffed, despite the visual indicator.
