  1. Damage always ticks when the DoT is applied, every three seconds after that and when the DoT expires. The longer the duration, the more damage gets done (with the same DPS). The tooltip is borked.
  2. On the surface, it does seem broken. But, apparently, INT bonuses get applied properly to HoT or DoT abilities.... This needs more testing, of course.
  3. There was already a similar thread. Perhaps a mod could merge them. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72711-druid-bugs/
  4. But the devs had access to everything in their own builds while the backers were rampaging through the beta. The question is whether the bug was present in the pre-release builds that the backers didn't have access to.
  5. ... or increase the damage accordingly (so the DPS stays the same) while following the intended design of extended duration.
  6. Intellect at 10 : DoT Damage = X over Y seconds Intellect above 10: Dot Damage = X over Y * (intellect bonus) seconds Basically, the amount of damage stays the same, but the DPS suffers.
  7. There are two possible reasons: - the bug was introduced in the Day-1 patch - they were aware of the problem and decided to release the game anyway
  8. You can probably reset the stats using the console. To avoid the problem, never load an area where you recruited companions (if they're in your party).
  9. This also affects Aloth's Leather Armor with the Overseeing effect (extra 10% AoE). After quicksaving and quickloading around 15 times in front of the Black Hound Inn, this is the result... The red circle is the default AoE. Also, his defenses while wearing the Minor Cloak of Protection during the same test... I really don't feel like playing this game if this bug is gonna force me to constanly check the character sheets to see whether one or multiple stats have ballooned in the meantime.
  10. Can anyone replicate this bug in open areas in Defiance Bay? I haven't reached that location yet, but someone mentioned that the bug occurs there as well. Here's the post...
  11. Every time someone reports this "health" bug, they're playing as a monk. I believe this specific bug is tied to that class.
  12. Another (potential) problem. When using a potion while spiritshifted, the regular character model sometimes appears inside the spiritshifted form. This happened to me a couple of times, but it's kinda hard to reproduce.
  13. These games (especially when developed by Obsidian) necessitate multiple save files (10+ recommended) made frequently. It's just the nature of the beast. I hope the upcoming patch fixes your problems retroactively.
  14. As egregious as this bug is, it can easily be avoided. I'm more worried about other game-breaking issues (stat-stacking, items disappearing, persistent debuffs etc.)
  15. Actually, I usually accept bugs on release, but since these are major bugs that just about everyone seems to suffer from, I cant help but wonder how they could have been overlooked. People must have played through the game a couple of times, but didn't notice stats shooting past 21 or Rogues with more endurance than fighters? Or lost abilities for that matter? How is that possible? They were probably aware of the issues, but they couldn't afford, literally, to delay the game once more. The game has so many problems regarding skills, talents, items, companions and quests that's it's virtually impossible that they went through the QA process undetected. That's the reality of (modern) game development. Okay, I understand that, but I still dont get why they would prioritize balancing over two widespread game-breaking bugs? If we talk about small and/or avoidable bugs, the occasional crash or the odd incompatible hardware driver, sure, but this? It makes no sense to me. When did the devs state that they were prioritizing balancing over game-breaking issues? I wasn't aware of that.
  16. I think that the combat state sometimes doesn't resolve properly, which leads to summons, buffs and debuffs persisting throughout the game. You probably had auto-slow-mode enabled too, right?
  17. Another forum member (can't remember his username) reported that the stat-stacking bug also appears in areas where characters haven't been recruited (i.e. certain districts in Defiance Bay). I don't think there's a way to fully avoid this problem for the time being.

  19. That's a joke right!??! It's sad that I have to ask. Oh and what bug is this one? "of the Unconquerable" Infinite intellect stacking and Soul Whip not working. Bugs of Eternity.
  20. After testing werecat form against enemies with different slashing DR values, I think I figured out the problem with damage calculation. When is werecat form, the character/druid seems to ignore 5 points of DR. Since this DR bypass ability isn't listed anywhere, I assume it's a bug or an oversight.
  21. You're right. I managed to reproduce this bug with Aloth + Cloak of Minor Protection in Gilded Vale. I heard the same thing happens with modal abilities that buff certain stats. Damn, gonna have to put PoE on ice for the time being.
