I'll respond to both at once 1. The white buttons on the blue gradient background stick out like sore thumbs to me. I find it visually unappealing in that it doesn't really flow with the rest of the forums. 2. I was using Firefox 1.5 but I'll chronicle my efforts in IE 6 now (I don't think it's browser specific). Start a new post: a. insert picture into post. b. go to "post preview". c. click on picture in the "post preview" section to try opening it. d. get error message in new pop up window. e. post the message (viewing the picture now works fine) f. go back into and edit the post and "post preview" again. g. click on picture in the "post preview" section to try opening it. h. picture shows up fine and there's no error message.

Visual quirks: 1. The visual theme of the post a message window clashes with that of the board (not so pretty, but I like the new functionality). 2. The buttons ("Add Reply" , "New Topic" etc..) are now a little off color from the background so they don't blend in. 3. The small Obsidian logo that used to be on the browser tabs is now a little blue triangle v thing (see screen shot). A bug: When trying to view my attachment (clicking on it) in the "Post Preview" it popped up a new window (which was resized to the size of the picture): Edit: However when going back to edit my post, viewing my atachment through the "Post Preview" worked just fine.

I didn't like the shadowgrounds demo at all ::bleh:: I had a good bit of fun playing through the demo of this game. However, I can see it getting boring if it's all mass slaughter aliens ++.

What's the server used for? Is it simply acting as a hub to network the computers? Is it used to manage the other computers? Is it used as a central repository for files / databases / licensing stuff? How mission critical is the server? Etc...? Something to keep in mind for putting a small server together -- I'd say reliability / stability.

It was the show that got me into anime. Before I saw it I thought all anime was like Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon crap.

Azarkon, perhaps you don't understand the procedure. Do normally short people recieve "disgusted stares?" This procedure wont make her look like a freak. Also, it would be helpful if you gave your definition of the word "freak" because you arn't going by the definition found in the dictionary. However, despite being against your argument I am against the procedure. Yes, it may have benefits.. but it's not a well tested procedure and may lead to a worse outcome or provide no real benefits at all. some interesting reads on the topic of growth attenuation therapy: http://www.aamr.org/Policies/board_positions/growth.shtml http://archpedi.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/full/160/10/1077

It's an awesome change -- too bad I'm not playing the game anymore. Knowing that it's fixed though will make me more likely to purchase future expansions.

Most animes really start to degrade after a certain number of episodes. I liked Naruto when it started -- it's a pile of **** now. I'm hoping I'll like it again when it starts following the manga once more. But that's the problem with having a weekly episodic series that spans a massive number of episodes. Both story and art take a plunge.

Arduin-Grimoire an Interesting License?

E3 is still 5 months away -
Half Life 2 -- Instead of an actual ending what I got was the "man in the suit" telling me to buy future sequels. Almost as bad as the ending for Half Life 1. Final Fantasy 9 -- I've never beaten any of the other games in the series and now I don't want to. The ending of #9 made me feel like a Hollywood producer had puked up daisies all over my lap. Boring, predictable and trite.

You can download a visible cοckpit mod for X3 as well as user created scripts that help get rid of some of the annoyances in the game. The game's campaign mode really sucks.. but if you like a free form game flying around in a ship building a massive trading empire, it might be your cup of tea.

I agree that the comment that was shown was inappropriate and I'm not condoning such actions. However, the audience he presented the information to was not one that seemed to respect or care for the person who died. It's not something I'd expect them to care about either -- as I doubt they would care... or that people even here would really care if I started posting individual stories about starving kids in Africa who passed away. It would probably even be treated as spam. When people don't know the deceased, it tends to have little to no meaning. Simply posting that Nano woud no longer be playing would let those who cared about him get in contact with the poster and find out why. There are ways to be discreet and respectful -- no need to drag the community of strangers in.
-
There are proper places to write about someone passing away -- a games forum is not one of them. If he really wanted to get the word out to other players that Nano would no longer be playing, he should have just said, "Nano is no longer going to be playing." Gaming forums are the wrong places to look for sympathy and understanding. Unless it's a really close community posting about [person from community]'s death is usually inapropriate.

Have an Idea of a videogame? Post it here!

Tennis racquets have much better grips. Nintendo went with a smooth sexy design that's "slippery when wet." With the straps on the wiimote there is an expectation that if it does fly out of ones hand it will be stopped. Edit: I'm slow

I haven't seen any do not drink labels on gas pumps around here. Did you watch the video of the guy playing Wii Sports where the controller slipped out of his sweaty hand, snapping the wrist strap and smashing into the wall? Seems to me like that was a perfectly valid way of playing the game.. that's how the Wii promotional videos portrayed it being played as well. At the very least Nintendo should have put a little more thought into the wrist strap, people don't expect it to snap. The whole reason for the strap is to prevent incidents like this from happening.. if it doesn't work, it's faulty. Nintendo should own up and recall the Wiimotes to replace the straps with something a little beefier.

I liked this one especially: http://rr.www.gamestats.com/rrview/games/n...2/674385/52218/ ) The reviews seem to be rather polar

Why oh Why, sorry about my earlier replies to you, they were posted in a rather sleepy manner. I swear I had a better argument planned in there somewhere, but I think I misread the intentions of your posts and got lost along the way. I hope this one is better. I agree it's not good news, however it's popularity is not sinking like a rock either. Checking just a few minutes ago, it had gone back up a tad bit: http://www.gamestats.com/objects/674/674385/ As of this post it's #8 in the rank of PC games: http://www.gamestats.com/stats/gpm/20114/1.html I doubt the serious modders will get up and leave the community. Unless someone else releases tools that allow for the creation of mods in the same style of gameplay on a modern (even though it may be sluggish) engine.

http://www.gamestats.com/objects/012/012077/ So, the fanbase hates the original?

The games were produced for different audiences... not something too hard to understand. Maybe there are more fans for action RPG style games with weak stories (ouch, bias)? And even though you may consider my oppinion to be worthless (it's strange why you're trolling in a forum if you didn't want any oppinions) I'm glad NWN2 was not made to be like Oblivion.

The tool set works fine for me. I don't have a mscorlib.resources.exe or a "mscorlib.resources" folder. The closest I have is mscorlib.dll located in "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727" and another one located in "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322". When I started it up while using the process monitor it did not try to access anything related to mscorlib.resources. The tool set version is 1.0.807.0 The log file is about 10MB uncompressed, so it's a little unwieldy to try posting here.
