Party composition
LadyCrimson replied to Madscientist's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I've been wondering the same thing. Some rpg's it feels mandatory to actually have the "priest" class in party, some it doesn't. -
Time Lapse, some indie 2014 movie about a funky looking camera that takes photos of the next day future. Certainly nothing original and reminded me a lot of a sci-fi-ish version of '94's Shallow Grave, but I liked it a fair amount. Started a bit slow and the chrs. make some silly decisions but still entertaining. Worth a watch for its genre, imo.

Finally got to the end of Crossing Lines, season 2. The first couple of episodes were a bit lackluster for me but then it picked up, although not as good as 1st season. But then the final episode .... GAH. Me no like. Too much at once and too flimsy. And the rumor is Fichtner won't be in Season 3 so my main reason for watching will be gone. I think that's it for me.

Watching TWD right now. "I hate apple sauce." ... lol ...car won't start, OF COURSE. ...oh Rick, you're so stubborn. ...go Glen! But eww... Well that was a decent episode. Not the best, but a good one.

Do they all have to be done tonight? Lots of caffeine. And then some more. And...I know it's hard, but try not to spend 2 hours on each photo. *wink*

Someone who spends too much money for a MMO/f2p/whatever and regrets it/feels manipulated, I have sympathy and may agree that the tactics used to get people to spend that money is rather manipulative and plays on well known psychological emotional addictive factors...pretty much what most marketing is, really. Someone who continues to do that in lots of other MMO/f2p/whatever even afterwards, and still is complaining, I have no sympathy.

^^ Considering that I believe part of Obsidian's desire to make/KS PoE was because they wanted to make something that wasn't "limited" by console catering, I don't think one has to worry about that here. Of course, exactly what is "console catering" vs. just plain "time and tech marches on" is always up for debate/subjective, but PoE turning into Dragon Age just because someone like Angry Joe likes/endorses the game is pretty unlikely.

Nothing like swimming through shark infested waters so you can ... bring home your shark trophies! They'll go up on the roofs eventually, too. Sadly, there are probably 8-10 more corpses that are too deep for me to fetch back...current game have yet to see a great white. Now I need a bunch of turtle corpses to decorate with, too...too bad I can't kill the humpback's.

I don't know enough about Angry Joe to form a like/dislike, but I've seen some of his reviews for games I've played and he seemed fair enough to me. He has a video persona, which I suppose some may not like, but if you can get past that he's kinda funny and seems like a decent enough dude. And if he gets people aware of/interested in PoE who might otherwise never have, even better.

Re: Frozen - that film would have been a lot better without Olaf the snowman and the little rock trolls. The reindeer was cute however. Not sure why they needed both the reindeer and Olaf...it felt more of a showcase for the snazzy music scene bits and should've focused more on the sisters. It's ok/mildly watchable, but definitely not worthy of the hype. Tangled was, imo, somewhat better than Frozen because it was more focused, even if more typical in plot. Also, it was funny. ;p

The combo of what I'm listening to and how life often feels lately.

I've been seeing ads for some show like that. Where she says she's hungry and makes brain salad or something. Same one? I know I snorted unbelievably when I saw the ad. Although it did remind me, tonally (not plotwise), of Warm Bodies the film, which was kinda cute.

Yeah, I understand that. Which I don't mind/accept, but I think I may wait a week or so and see what their first update/patch holds ... assuming they put one out in that time. The discount for already owning Space Engineers makes it more tempting, too. :D

Champion edition Hi-res map

In a closest...somewhere. Maybe. -
The Judge - 7.5/10. Has some weak points (a little too long, for one) but decent drama film. Robert Duvall still one of my absolute faves. Kill the Messenger - 6/10. Starts off well and Renner does a good job, but eventually the "maligned hero journalist vs. evil big newspapers and government conspiracy" started to enter into Oliver Stone territory or something. Which had me looking up Gary Webb on the laptop while the movie was playing...which turned out to be more interesting. ;p

Early Access, Medieval Engineers - I am so tempted. Build for hours, destroy in 10 minutes! But maybe it'll be a little too "techie" for me...*finger hovers over the buy button* ... can't decide. Still haven't really played with Space Engineers, but I'm a lot more into building castles/buildings/catapults then I am vehicles/ships/sci-fi machinery...

Apparently, an infinite amount of them. They've been doing them in droves for decades and decades and decades. It is interesting how the dramatic crime/mystery show has been such as staple and so popular for seemingly forever. Different eras do them differently, but they're still basically the same concept. Guess humans just love a good detective mystery!** **long live Columbo!

Housecleaning day, which means I spent most of the afternoon scrubbing the bathroom. They need to hurry up and invent the self-cleaning shower/tub. Will now use that clean bathroom to shower before I go run out and paint the town for a couple hours. Or at least the dance floor. Then later, maybe a movie. "Nightcrawler" perhaps...I like Jake Gyhilalalhal-howeveryouspellit.

Cheatcodes for Project Eternity
LadyCrimson replied to Eraydon's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
After multiple "legit" runs or at least many hours of something, I'll often enjoy some console command cheat messing around when available, when I want to geek and test or just plain goof off. Or as mentioned, if it helps with a glitch issue. Single-player games I see no issue with leaving such in. Affects no one else and up to player if they want to cheat/use them. So nice that some are in there. -
I have GPU temps showing r-side of the taskbar with the clock and such. Habit from playing games and doing video rendering during heat waves...

Skeletons army animation
LadyCrimson replied to Mazisky's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Could collapse/crumble to dust, so to speak. It does look a little weird but not something that bothers me much. -
My objection to that image is just visual. Where's the blonde hair, at least, for one. Take away that trident and the new guy could be a grungy tattooed Viking/tribal dude or something. Just doesn't fit to me. Not that I've kept up with recent comic versions of him, although I know he's had various appearance changes I think (longer hair, different costume styles).

--Don't know about the clock speeds, didn't check that earlier. --I clean out the case/gpu of dust 2 to 3 times a year, it's pretty clean-ish. --Firefox 34.0.5 (last one b4 35, which is actually the latest latest, but I like to wait until I can d/l the executable rather than the little installer) Me to myself: "I don't see how that could be related to the browser, but it has been a few months since I updated nvidia, so what the heck." ... (do so) .... "Well I'll be dipped in ...." GPU staying at 36C again ... and the weird thing is, now it's staying cool even when playing videos/Netflix, too. I do remember some long long past version of Firefox was when I noticed GPU temps rose during FF-video plays, even w/their hardware acceleration off. I've udpated nvida drivers many times since then and browser-videos still raised GPU temp all this time. So all I can think is that Firefox's hardware acceleration disable function hasn't been working properly (for me) and nvidia finally did something that changed that? (I made sure it was disabled looking at the about:config settings, btw) (edit: or the other way around - nvidia's drivers didn't recognize it properly for ages...) Anyway, thanks Humanoid, GPU driver wouldn't have occurred to me as a fix at all. Note to self: video drivers should now be updated when anything weird is going on with anything, not just video games...

Supernatural CAIN! FINALLY! ...altho I kept wanting him to break into song...
