  1. To whom it may concern: I have an active saved game on my MacBook Pro and would like to resume playing on my Windows 10 PC. Both OSs and the Steam game installs are fully up-to-date. I purchased and installed both expansions to the base game. The saves transfer properly between my Mac computers via Steam Cloud Saves. I attempted to transfer the saves to my PC via a thumb drive, but the game crashed upon the first attempted loading and no longer sees the saves, despite their presence in the save folder ("user"/Saved Games/Pillars of Eternity). I tried the "start a new game, autosave, exit, replace autosave with old save, and continue" method, but it did not work, resulting in another crash of the Windows game application. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hello! On admission - this issue has no any hallmarks nor anything unique and, in cause of that, i'm not able to google for it. So please forgive me if that's a duplicate of any other issue. Description I have just downloaded POI from iStore. After starting it, i can see a splash screen where i can choose "Play Pillars of Eternity" or "The White March DLC". While choosing the second options shows "buy now" screen properly, the first button crashes (or just turns of) the app without any error message. This means i'm not able to run POI at all. Important files ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log file is empty. System specs Macbook Pro mid 2010 OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 (14F27) 2,53 GHz Intel Core i5 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256 MB Thanks in advance for any support.
  3. Just bought this game and so far I love it, but I would love to be able to play in windowed mode. I also got screwed into a lower resolution. On first load the relevant graphics settings were: resolution: 1920 x 1080 fullscreen: yes I unchecked the fullscreen box and clicked apply, but nothing happened. I closed the settings, clicked "Save" when prompted, but still nothing. I restarted the game and I was still in fullscreen. I repeated this several times with the exact same results. When I uncheck fullscreen it remains checked until I leave that page, but when I return it is checked. Next I tried changing the resolution. I opened the dropdown and there were only two options, 1440 x 900 and 1280 x 800. I selected 1440 x 900, unchecked fullscreen, and applied. The resolution was set correctly, but still no fullscreen. Exited, settings and clicked save, fullscreen. Restarted, fullscreen again. I reopened the game and tried to set my resolution back to 1920 x 1080, but it was not an available option. I changed to the smaller resolution and repeated the same process as above without fullscreen. I changed back to 1440 x 900 successfully, but still not windowed mode and still no 1920 x 1080. I reloaded the game a few more times but made no progress. The resolution isn't as big of a deal as the windowed mode for me. I bought the game through GOG and installed using their Galaxy Client. System settings: OSX Yosemite 10.10.4 (14E46) MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB 15.4-inch (2880 x 1800)

There is another thread on this topic with plenty of information, but does not seem to have any response even though many people are consistently having this issue even after the most recent patch. I have had it intermittently since I purchased the game 2 months ago. At first it seemed to be solved by turning of Steam Sync, then it came back. Then it seemed to be solved by deleting as many additional saves as possible. Then it seemed to be solved by the first autosave "clearing" somehow - IE if I tried to quick or manual save, it would crash, but after an autosave triggered, it would go away. Now it is back again for auto, quick, and manual saves. PLEASE AT LEAST RESPOND TO THIS ISSUE. Many people have it and the game, while excellent, is not cheap.   5. Hi there Pillars of Eternity fans, backers, hamsters and rangers! The issue I'm experiencing crashes after the game has launched, about 1 minute into gameplay. My computer completely freezes, and forces me to hard boot to restart my Mac. Here's the diagnose: The screen freezes completely after 1 minutes gameplay This forces me to reboot, since I can't exit the game in any way Does anybody have this issue and/or know how to fix it? What I've tried This has happened on a daily basis for the past couple of weeks. Here's what I've tried: Installed the latest Mac Updates Clean up my entire Mac, Uninstalling unnessesary apps Allocating 385 gigs of storage Specs: Model: MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) Processor: 2,9 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB OSX Yosemite Version: 10.10.3 (14D136) ...Any help will do guys !   6. Hi, Hitting any of the number keys does not select a character nor select an action/answer on story screen when using a french keyboard. I tried the 3 different mappings: French, French numerical, French PC without success. Switching the keyboard mapping to english fixed the issue but changes all the shortcuts which is not very easy to play. That and having to switch keyboard before launching the game. I tested this issue over two Macbook pro and one iMac with builtin keyboard, usb keyboard and bluetooth keyboard. They all have the same problem. On the usb keyboard however the keypad is actually working. I tested this issue on a french Windows 7 PC and the keys were working perfectly. On all the tests I was using the default shortcuts.   7. I've noticed, that the game does not start if the frame counter is enabled in Steam. I only get a black screen with the gauntlet courser. The frame counter itself works, since I can enable it via the Steam overlay, once I am in the game, but I have to disable it again in order to start the game.   8. I have a late 2013 Macbook pro with 16gb ram, Intel Iris graphics card and I'm still experiencing quite a lot of crashes when I play, even though I've updated to 1.0.3. Note, I'm also running OSX Yosemite 10.10.3 public beta. I doesn't happen all the time, but when it happens it happens after I've just started the game and tries to enter a new area, or if I do a quick save. But sometimes, everything works like a charm. Seems to be OpenGL / Graphics related somehow.   9. Attempting to run the game on my MacPro, and so far I haven't been able to get it to launch. Using Steam, I click play, and the POE icon appears, bounces once, and then disappears.   10. I'm playing on Mac Late 2013. When i'm trying to save a game it's crashing. Not all the time, but often. Very often. It's always happen after new game (autosave). And then it's randomly happen while playing. Nevermind what is it: it can be quick save, or just save, or autosave. Fast googling showed up that's i'm not alone here. Please, fix it in the next patch. This game is awesome.
  11. When I click on items on the ground, my character runs off in a random direction, generally on the other side of the map. Once they finally stop moving, the item selection box thing opens and I can take the objects. ​Additionally, my companion(Calsica? I think thats her name) does not show up, but I can still give her commands and everything. I've actually managed to get her to show maybe 2 times, but I have no idea what I did to do it. Thirdly, the game seems to crash whenever I save.   12. If I press the standard Mac screenshot key-combo, it takes a screenshot of nothing. Basically I get a black image. How am I supposed to show off my character builds to my friends? Is there an actual screenshot key? This kind of gets in the way of word-of-mouth marketing for Mac users. (Also I can't Command+Tab out of the game, which isn't a massive issue because I can always window the game but it is slightly annoying.)
  13. When I engage fullscreen while using two monitors Pillars of Eternity blacks out the second screen, making it impossible to use both at once. Even when put into its own space in mission control this blackout behavior persists.
  14. Hi all, Just a quick question. I see that the choice between GoG and Steam is available for backers, and being a tree-hugging anti-DRM hippy, I'd obviously prefer the GoG version. My concern is that the FAQ states that if you prefer multi-platform, you should opt for Steam. Does this mean that the Mac version won't be available via GoG, even though they now supply Mac versions of games where possible? Does anyone have on info on this? Cheers, DF
