A good find. That stuff about the various styles is pretty interesting, though I'm sure the EU fanatics are sure to come out of the woodwork to compain that "those styles didn't exist then!!!!" So the Mace Windu and Qui-Gon styles are in...I hope the PC is just as acrobatic as Qui-Gon in his style.

Who might join your party...?

T3 has at least two side-quests in the game, as well as backstory and secrets to unlock. He'll play a vital role in the game, much like R2 did in Episodes IV, V, and VI. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That makes a lot of sense because he will be the PC's only guaranteed link to Revan during the game. -
Most "Handsome" Sith Lord

This is the new age of the K2 forums. God doesn't come around here anymore   -

For all Americans not totally opposed to teenyboppers or bland pop music, MTV's TRL will be showing the trailer tonight @ 5pm. Of course, you'll probably have to sit through Christina Milian, Destiny's Child, Britney Spears and God knows what else, first -
According to the PM from MCA, no. But she does play a very important role to the game. Perhaps she fills the role that the Jedi Council fulfilled in K1. I like the idea above that she is the final opponent for a DS character. Wild speculation is fun! EDIT: Beat me to it Stargate Oooh look! A dev!

Which means T3M4 will be useless once again.

I thought I read where the current Queen supported the Republic, but the Sith on the moon of Dxun had been doing attacks on the planet with a view of deposing the Queen and handing the planet over to the Sith Lords. Of course, the situations may be reversed and then it's the Republic that is the underground resistance force in this case. Either way, I'd bet my apartment on Onderon/Dxun being the site where we pick up either the Handmaiden or Visas Marr and the place where we first meet Atris. EDIT: Unclear point
-
Somehow, I don't think the folks at LA would let Obsidian do a trick that obvious again. I think it's more likely when you get on Onderon you have a choice between aiding The Queen (Atris?) or the Sith seperatists. If you aid the Sith, you get Visas Marr. If you aid the Queen she sends one of her handmaidens to assist you. After you kick Jedi/Sith tail, your party member asks the Queen/Sith Lord if she can join your crusade and bam! One of your NPC slots is now filled.
-
Kinda adds a bit of fuel to the fire to the argument that Atris is indeed The Queen of Onderon (wasn't it Darth Gandalf who brought it up) 1) The Handmaiden looks like her. Amidala's handmaidens resembled her in E1. Why not the same here? 2) She's NOT playable. I think we were told somewhere that we have to take sides either with or against the queen, but the queen herself would not join us. Any other circumstancial evidence?

what is the best Star Wars game ever?

The X-Wing series for TIE Fighter alone. Of course, I'm hopeful K2 can change my opinion -
Feedback on Official KotOR2 site

It says on Sion's char profile page that he is the Sith Assassin. When you complete the DS on the page, your special reward is a picture of Nihilis and the title of Sith Marauder. That leads me to suspect that the 3rd Sith (the female) is the Sith Lord. I may be wrong tho -
That is indeed the lovely Miss Piper. For those not in the "know" about her, she is probably most famous for once being married to a British DJ named Chris Evans who tried rather hard to be England's answer to Howard Stern, but failed miserably, mostly because he was a miserable little git, but also because he's a ginger! As for the magnificent Mr. Eccleston, he can be seen in Shallow Grave, 28 Days Later, the TV series Cracker, the Nicole Kidman movie The Others, and the costume drama Elizabeth.

Um....do you mean Nur Ab Sal? Yeah, I see that going well.

I'm calling it right now...Astros over Sox in 6, Clemens flips the Bo Sox the bird, Beltran homers off the Bionic Man (Schilling), signs with the Pinstripes in a huge deal and gives Houston fans AND BoSox fans the bird. And speaking of the Evil Empire, as the great thinker Nelson Muntz might say... "Ha ha!"

According to the preview in Official XBOX magazine's Holiday Shopping Guide, there are three. In introducing Sion, the claim he is "one of the three titular Sith Lords."

I think continuity and the EU tend to be more important in the novels because the type of person to read a SW novel will be interested in that. Of course, that doesn't stop the EU from occasionally become just one big tangle. To the VAST majority of people who've never read a SW book but bought KOTOR, I imagine they could care less. I guess I probably fall somewhere between the two extremes.

If KotOR was made into a movie...

Nice pics, Craftsman! Are they from the Hyper Preview? -
Quote taken from Craftsman's summary of Hyper's preview Could still mean they are one location.
-
That is indeed the list, although it is possible that Dxun/Onderon can be considered as one planet because Dxun is one of Onderon's moons and is just a short shuttle ride away as opposed to a trip through hyperspace on the 'Hawk.

Can KOTOR 2 redefine the RPG genre?
sickboycp replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I agree. I traded my copy of NWN for a few DVDs within a week of getting it. I can understand how people would be excited for the MP capabilities, but the OC was, to my mind, utter crap for the lack of a better word. -
That is quite true. After all, the first writer Drew Karpyshyn is one of the creators of the Revan character. I imagine he would want to use Revan in some capacity. Of course, the novels could be set in the 40-odd years between TOTJ and KOTOR.
-
I'm more excited to find out what Revan was doing on Korriban. Also, I wonder if Korriban will be the site of the "pockets of dark side energy" that were showcased in the E3 demo?

I also think that closer to the release we should have perhaps more moderators like Adria who are forum regulars. I mean, no offense intended to Hydrogen or Fionavar, but i hardly ever see them in the forums and Adria can't be here all the time. A couple of people who can keep an eye out and filter the spoilers over from one forum to another. Because you know there will be a few idiots...there always is.
