Fell in love with Atton and Disciple
Darth Jebus replied to Jedi Master Revan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The minute I walked into that room and Disciple bowed to me I was all, "Gay." But heay, I really applaud the way they're really pushing the envelope here. I didn't think LA would allow this. -
I prefer real women myself.
-
For what it's worth, I'm still convinced Disciple was gay. Don't know if that counts for anything, though.

Question for the developers...
Darth Jebus replied to warstrekkid's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
These issues have been answered and re-answered on numerous occasions in numerous threads on numerous websites by numerous devs over the past several weeks. Bumping this topic up to the top is not going to get these questions answered. They've totally been answered already. -

Where the hell did Darth Sidious come from?
Darth Jebus replied to Lord Zacarus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
When you go see ROTS, this is explained. And if you've been following the development of ROTS, you would know that Sidious was the apprentice to Darth Plaguis, who Sidious killed to assume the mantle of Dark Lord. -
I really liked the annointment of Anakin to Jedi Knight. That was uber-cool. Him going into the Jedi Council chamber, and then all of the Jedi standing around him in a circle in darkness. Tartakovsy owns. The whole scene - Yoda knighting him, Padme's reaction - was just so incredibly well done. These shorts are far more superior to either of the prequels so far. I think because they just get to the point because they don't have enough time for exposition and political ramblings and stuff. It just tells the story. And that's when Star Wars is at it's best. Also, this scene was so significant (the conversation that Anakin had with Obi-Wan just before he was knighted really highlited this) I have to wonder why none of this material is in the movies. I mean, compare the events that are covered in Clone Wars with the events that are covered in the prequels. I'm not trying to bash the films because I'm one of the few people that actually liked both movies, despite their shortcomings. But, man, Anakin being knighted, the beginnings of the Vader costume, Palpatine putting Anakin in command of a battalion of Clone Troopers and the controversy that caused, a young Anakin being told by Qui-Gon to enter the tree from Empire Strikes Back...good lord these are incredibly poignant moments in the saga that should've been on the big screen. But I'm glad they were shown nonetheless.

I'd also like to add that back in '98 he posted the "first ever seen" script for Episode 1. It was later revealed that the "script" was a total fake.

People always have conflicting tales on this. So, I'll try to help you out and just give to you point blank. You do not have to have a high repair or computer skill to access the Bastila recording. You do not have to have high influence with T3 to access the Bastila recording. ALL YOU HAVE TO HAVE, is a high Intelligence stat. Like 14 or 15 so that the dialogue option appears. And also be a male. You can be a strong DS character and treat T3 like crap all you want and it won't make a lick of difference. But you do have to have INT. I have yet to see the HK video so I have no idea what to do on that.

Does he ever scream "ZOIKS!" when he's in trouble?

If you didn't figure it out by that point then you're either a) not paying attention, or b) dumb as hell.

I've actually been playing through KOTOR 1 again because it's been a while and I just felt like playing it after KOTOR 2, and also because it's just a great game. And one thing I noticed in the opening crawl is that, when it introduces Malak, it describes him as the "...last surviving apprentice of the Dark Lord Revan...". Last surviving apprentice? Just how many padawans did Revan have at one point? I mean, I don't know if this has already been discussed like two years ago when the game first came out or anything, but I just found that kind of interesting. Did this mean that at one point during the Mandalorian Wars, Revan had several apprentices that served him? Or did this just mean that all of the Jedi that followed Revan to war were kind of his de facto servants? You could seriously do a whole storyline just based on that one blurb from the opening crawl. Any general thoughts on this? I mean, there could be another KOTOR right there.

Who should make KOTOR3?
Darth Jebus replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Some other company. And not because Obsidian "really screwed it up" or anything like that. But quite the contrary. I'd like to see what Obsidian is REALLY capable of with an original story using original characters and an original setting of their own design. I'm actually in the process of playing both Fallout and Planescape:Torment now and those games rope you in immediately. So based on that, and the potential that K2 had with all the cut ending stuff, I'd really like to see OE branch out and do their own thing so that I can fairly judge their work. Leave K3 for someone else. That game is destined to disappoint. I mean, with all the loose ends now in the KOTOR universe, how can any game company satisfy all the fans now??? -
I'm kind of having a tough time with the explanation provided by OE and LA. At least the part about not being rushed by the juggernaut known as the Holiday Shopping Season. I mean, yeah, lots of stuff ends up on the cutting room floor in all movies and games, etc. , but when you cut stuff like what we saw in KOTOR II, material that is ABSOLUTELY VITAL to the plot and the climax of the story, and also brilliantly conceived and emotionally moving, there has to be other factors involved. When we have to cut important stuff from our movies, it's absolutely because our marketing department wants us to have the film out by certain date to meet certain bottom line expectations. That's just business. So, I'm having a tough time with that explanation. It was absolutely about Christmas and sales figures.

Celebrating episode III: Kyla's fanart
Darth Jebus replied to Kyla Carth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Those pictures are REALLY, REALLY good. My only nitpicky thing is (and I can't draw worth a darn, so I probably don't even have a right to critique any works of art) in our original post, I totally thought that your female exile was Anakin Skywalker. And then when I saw FEMALE EXILE, I thought she looked kinda like Courtney Love. But DAMN, those are GREAT! Keep up the good work! -
Bastilla's voice in KOTOR 2
Darth Jebus replied to LifeStar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't know why this bothers me, but I just have to say this. It's Bastila. Not Bastilla. One 'l' not two :D But that's interesting about her sound files, though. -
I have never beaten this game on any level higher than 26. And I've gotta tell ya, at about lvl 25, you can kill a roomful of Dark Jedi and Sith troopers with literally nothing more than a raise of your hand. So, seriously...with a game this easy, what's the point of getting even more powerful?? Do you just want to be utterly bored playing it or something? Plus, I think that after lvl 25 the game scales to your level anyway, doesn't it? Isn't being at lvl 50 no different than being at lvl 25? I think the only perk you get at being at lvl 50 is finding that modified Jal Shuey armor, aka Darth Malak's fiber armor. But good luck finding that with the RLG.

couple of general questions
Darth Jebus replied to DevilCat's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I've found alot of exotic crystals by saving my game before I go talk to certain vendors that I know sell them. For example, that merchant in the mercenary camp on Dantooine has some really cool (albiet expensive) Jedi items. She usually has robes, crystals, and all sorts of lightsaber components. If you save your game just before you go talk to her you can just keep reloading every time you talk to her until you get the color crystal you want. -
With regards to the original KOTOR, here's what the official site said about it: So there it is. In plain English. The LS version of KOTOR is canon. And it appears that male Revan and the romance with Bastila is canon as well, since Carth's entry makes no mention of Revan. Since we've been back and forth with this on these boards, what is canon and what isn't, I just thought I would ask, what constitutes canon and what doesn't exactly? And does this mean that K2 is mostly considered Infinities? I mean beyond just the databank having a listing for them. Because the databank says alot of things. I mean, before KOTOR it was pretty much canon that there were no Darths in the galaxy before Darth Bane. Then KOTOR comes along and changes all of that. So, does this mean that Lucas has acquiesced a bit and changed Star Wars so that there was a Darth before Revan? Or maybe Revan was the first Darth??? This really kind of throws the whole Star Wars universe out of whack when you think about it. Although, I don't think Lucas really cares much about the EU and he can just change it as he sees fit. But for some reason I get the feeling he is well aware of KOTOR because of it's success and how it did more for Star Wars than the prequels ever did. In fact, alot of people have said KOTOR restored some respectability to Star Wars. At any rate there seems to be some inconsistencies with the Universe. Any thoughts on this and how this effects K2 and a possilbe K3?

This is what I'd like to see, personally. But I guess you'd have to play as a new PC because we all know what happens to Revan. It would most likely be a game about your character trying to figure out what he/she stands for as the carnage of the Mandalorian Wars unfolds around them. Of course the game would have one main storyline. And everything would come together at the end where you would have to decide if you continue to serve the new Dark Lord Revan, or turn away from his/her temptations and return to the Republic, or go into exile or, more than likely, die an honorable death since we all know that only one Jedi returned from the Wars: The Exile. I dunno. But I think the Mandalorian Wars would make a cool RPG.

Adding cut content to KotOR II. Some ideas...
Darth Jebus replied to Mad_Scientist's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, it looks like there is precedent for PC users to get all the love and console users to get the shaft. Fable: The Lost Chapters is now coming exlusively to the PC. And it's going to include ALL of the cut content that was on the Xbox version. So, Lionhead realized that they had released an incomplete game (boy, did they ever) and they are now rectifying that situation and then some. But man, I only had the Xbox version and so I get no love. Not that I want any btw. I found Fable to be totally underwhelming. -
Adding cut content to KotOR II. Some ideas...
Darth Jebus replied to Mad_Scientist's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think this is what they were planning on doing from some of the stuff I've read. Just include most of the cut content in a possible K3. But in terms of K2, you never say never but I honestly don't see any of this happening. For the record, an expansion pack would be the most feasible route (ala Morrowind), as it would be accessible to both PC users and Xbox users. But I don't think it's going to happen. -
I posted this in a different thread. Now, like I said over there, I'm not trying to pile on the K3 bandwagon or anything, but IGN has a new article out today about the Xenon, aka Xbox 2. In the article, it was noted that there are a handful of publishers onboard with the new console right now for the launch window that Microsoft has set aside for the new games. One of those early publishers is LucasArts. "

Star Wars Database
Darth Jebus replied to The Great Phantom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
and Kyle, and Mara you wanna get technical we can agree that the force works in mysterious ways does it not???? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I don't know too much about Kyle (outside of Outcast and JA) and Mara Jade. Only that I think they are characters in the NJO universe, no? That's after ROTJ correct? I would say that after the redemption of Anakin with the whole balance of the Force thing going on, that things happened differently and were all out of whack. Therefore, you had a number of Force Sensitives popping up all over the galaxy because the Forcce was balancing itself out again. This would explain Jaden Korr's story in JA. But more to the point, I would say Kyle and Mara's story were done before the prequels came out (at least I think they were). That's important because Lucas set some strict and clear guidelines regarding Jedi training and sentients being selected for Jedi training with Episode I. Lucas was pretty adamant about Force Sensitives being selected at birth and how Anakin was already way too old for Jedi training at the age of 8 or 9. Most of the writers that developed the EU were working off of original ideas for the most part. It wasn't until 1999 with the release of TPM, did Lucas begin to explain the history and the traditions of the Jedi and how they were invincible and how there could only be two Sith at a time. Before that, you had writers conceiving of worlds with thousands of Sith Lords, and 4 or 5 Padawans to every 1 Master and things like that. This is also why I think the Dark Lords prior to TPM all had original names like Exar Kun and Ulic-Qel Droma, etc. When TPM came out, we found out about names such as Darth Sidious, Maul, Bane, etc., and that the name Darth is more of a title, like Caesar, that denotes royalty of some sort. And the current lineage of Dark Lords goes back to Bane. So, with all that being said, I would still say that . -
ONE QUESTION!!!
Darth Jebus replied to The Swedish Dark Lord III's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Forget the troops. After all of my playthroughs I'm still trying to figure out how the hell Kreia got onboard the ship before me and Atton did. She's just there waiting for you. The first time I played the game I was all, "Damn, if she knew of a shorter way to the ship, she should've told me!" Instead of me running around the lower levels of the base, killing droids and disabling computers and running through toxic containment corridors and the like. That old witch.
