So, from what I got from this thread: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/101501-beta-patch-11-important-changes/, there are two battles in the beginning that are very difficult on PotD, depending on you party composition The second one is actually considered impossible by some people, unless you hire a fifth character or skip it with stealth and come back later. For me, on Veteran, they were challenging and I had to pay attention to the health levels and choose my abilities carefully. I used a potion once and the gaun ring, but nobody died. I think it's fine for a first playthrough since people playing on PotD are saying that sometimes they have to reload and I don't want that much challenge until I play for a second time. I'll probably try these battles in PotD later because if I make a comparison I can provide better information for other people here. Maybe I'm too bad and Veteran is easy... Who knows? But I did finished a PoE1 PotD game last week and the only battle I found decently difficult (after early-midgame, when I was still learning the best strategies) was the last one. So I don't think I'm that bad. I can't do that. It says that it can't be changed.

Patch 1.1.0 Updates Thread
InsaneCommander replied to David Benefield's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
I didn't pay much attention to combat before, because I only truly started playing the game with this beta, but is it normal to have your characters pushing each other in combat? I forgot I changed my rogue's weapon and ordered her to shoot an enemy, but then she walked to get close and attack, pushing Eder to the side (placing him in the direction Aloth was sending a rolling flame). Shouldn't they stand their ground and the other characters move around? -
Meh, it is a point and click horror adventure game that just happens to be isometric. Also you appear to wear no clothes which is kind of annoying to me. I would like to see something in space that isn't horror based, cause that is getting a little old. Oh, ok. In this case I agree, it shouldn't be like that.

Anyone here played "Stasis"? It's an isometric sci-fi game, but no real time combat. I havent played it yet, but maybe it's how a game like this would look like. https://store.steampowered.com/app/380150/STASIS/

Portraits III
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Oh, much better than mine! This is my first Watcher for Deadfire, thanks! -
I played only a little and I noticed some problems importing my savegame from PoE1. Eder did not join the Night Market and Vela's drunk babysitter (Eld Engrim? Not sure what his name is) speaks as if Durance died. This is definitely the Beta, since I have the new features like eyecolor for example. One way or another I'll play the game in 1.1 because I can't wait anymore. I'll enjoy any future bug fixes in another playthrough, it's totally fine for me.

Patch 1.1.0 Updates Thread

Eder is not importing correctly. He was supposed to have joined the Night Market but he went to Aedyr. -
@CENIC I didn't notice the file type when I uploaded this portrait. The watercolor versions are PNG and the others are JPEG so the game won't use the watercolors. You need to open the watercolors in a program and save them as JPEG or download them again in the portrait thread (link below). I tested them with the same extension and they work. Sorry for the inconvenience, I didn't know about this until now. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99990-portraits-iii/page-16?do=findComment&comment=2041445
