InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Maybe this could pass for an Aumaua:

A question about mages & grimoires
I gave Aloth Ninagauth's grimoire and never changed again. Even these unique spells are not enough to remind me that I can change grimoires.

GOG Scavanger codes resolved - sort of
InsaneCommander replied to Melusina's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Better than nothing, but some of these items aren't really useful. If anyone is roleplaying a Berath priest, I suggest using a mod that gives Berath's cloak some bonus: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/112

A question about mages & grimoires
Spells that you know and are in the grimoire should definitely have a bonus. Make it good enough and most people won't complain about the overlap. And even if it ends up too good, it would simply be another build option, trading variety for specialization.

Wizard Subclasses
Unique spells for the subclasses would make them much more interesting. And although Conjurer is not a summoner, I wish they had more summon creature spells.

Anyone still use figurine?
InsaneCommander replied to Archaven's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Don't give them any ideas. Also: solo players think companions and sidekicks make the game too easy. Will they have charges too?

Anyone still use figurine?
InsaneCommander replied to Archaven's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)This change was almost irrelevant for me. I avoided using figurines as much as possible because they made things too easily. But seeing the charges in their description justifies my behavior. And they are kind of irrelevant at level 18 anyway, because the game is quite easy now.

Rogue Assassin question. Does anyone actually bother using it?
InsaneCommander replied to no1fanboy's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Usually a bit after the battle starts, to give enemies a chance to clump up a bit more. Gives a chance to hit them with a Reflex debuff as well, which I'm liable to do anyway. Evoker Fireballs (and the like) already hit quite nicely by themselves of course, getting a lot of extra accuracy, PEN (high Fire AR not being too uncommon, after all), and an excellent chance to get some beefed up crits going definitely helps make a mark. And obviously you can Smoke Veil and hit them again whenever needed. Or start popping off some missiles, etc. I'm not too far in with this character yet, alternating a bit, but certainly having fun with it . Interesting. I'll definitely include one in my party in a future pt.

Rogue Assassin question. Does anyone actually bother using it?
InsaneCommander replied to no1fanboy's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Do you wipe out groups of enemies with a fireball, when attacking from stealth, before the battle starts? I'm playing as a singleclass assassin, but I'll definitely have an assassin/evoker on my custom party when I have one.

Did i just accidentally trigger the end-game?

POLL - Where would you like to travel if PoE saga continues
InsaneCommander replied to juanval's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Well, I don't know how representative his poll is, but the Living Lands has another advantage besides the interest shown in this poll: it has many different types of climate and geography, so it offers more possibilities. But depending on what story they want to tell, other regions might be a better choice from their point of view.

I was helping assassination all along?!
InsaneCommander replied to Ildun's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)My character simply chose the "cruel" option in the dialogue (lighting a fuse and jumping out of the ship). Feel free to try, Maia, you know what will happen. I like how her response is "I didn't know that was an option". Xoti and Serafen also love it. You don't receive enough Cruel points for it to register unless you've been choosing every Cruel opion before it. They think it's a joke. It would be fun to have some crazy events like this in the game. You'd lose your ship and crew and be rescued by someone, going back to Neketaka to buy a new ship and recruit more people for your crew.

Can Xoti be Insane and in a Committed Relationship with Watcher?
Don't give them any ideas. Maybe the next update will do something like that for Xoti, but with the temple of Gaun.

PoE decisions almost completely irrelevant?
InsaneCommander replied to Vaneglorious's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I think that is the point here.

Rogue Assassin question. Does anyone actually bother using it?
InsaneCommander replied to no1fanboy's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I ended up using my assassin mostly from range. Usually I use arterial strike before the combat even begins and get invisible to use devastating blow when the enemies get bloodied. I make as many invisibility potions as I can, but there isn't much onyx so I can't use them all the time.

France deserved it. Congratulations! And to Croatia too.

The Shadowed Vale
InsaneCommander replied to Ashen Rohk's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)To be honest, my character wasn't paying attention. She was much more interested in robbing their camp.

I was helping assassination all along?!
InsaneCommander replied to Ildun's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)So, she was telling me about her solo mission and Pallegina was happy because of the "dutiful" disposition. I wonder how she will feel when she finds out about Port Maje lol

Did i just accidentally trigger the end-game?
InsaneCommander replied to ziphnor's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)Checked my screenshot again and yes, you can see Eothas sharing an intimate moment with an adra pillar. I guess that is our clue to come back later, after Hasongo and any other side quests we wanna do. He was dead for many years, don't hurry, ok?

The Shadowed Vale
InsaneCommander replied to Ashen Rohk's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)So no clue why Wael appears to some people and not to others. Maybe he throws a dice.

Original of Water coloured portraits in the NPC folder?
InsaneCommander replied to Windego's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I doubt they exist. Obsidian used this style so that they could make more portraits easily. If they had to make the normal ones and them convert, it would actually be even more difficult.

The Shadowed Vale
InsaneCommander replied to Ashen Rohk's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)What character were you playing (class, race, did you do what Wael asked in PoE1)?
