  1. Ok, you convinced me to try a chanter build too. I think I'll do some tests before going for trial of iron. Wizard is one of my favorite classes, but I think that for solo I'd rather try one of the others.
  2. I've traded some annoying companions for sidekicks, but only because of my watcher's personality. Or maybe it's the fact that some of them complain about my shady business. Considering that they aren't that complex, I wouldn't mind if we had the option to select any subclass for them. I don't think it would cause any inconsistencies, like it would for the companions (for example: changing Pallegina's order or Tekehu's druid subclass).
  3. Probably in this thread. Oh, somehow I missed most of that thread. I'm very optimistic now.
  4. You better not be joking. Some people will be really disappointed if that doesn't happen.
  5. I don't remember him complaining when I served him some Mohora Wraps.
  6. In my game he was supposed to have become the mayor, but he showed up with a Night's Watch amulet telling stories of his return to Aedyr.
  7. What did they say about WM1 and 2? I don't remember very well, but I think it didn't sell as much as they expected or big dlcs didn't work well. Sorry, I'm not sure, but they did change it to the 3 smaller ones for PoE2. So I don't think we'll get a big one.
  8. Well, that still is the best we can get right now. Besides all the bugs and balance still needed, they must also have some items or additions of their on on a to-do list. Let's hope the sanguine plate will not be forgotten.
  9. I'll check some Paladin builds. But I'm not interested in trying a chanter. I had a tank chanter on my PotD pt and she suffered a lot. Imagine solo... Using a normal save at the same time is a great idea! Why didn't I think about that? I finished the game three times and the last one became really easy. But I wouldn't say I have a perfect knowledge of the game. If I rush like that steam build suggests, it'll probably not take too long, so I can try different builds and keep the parallel save when I try for real. Thanks for the tips.
  10. I agree, it's much better when the villain is trying to justify their acts. Maybe they really believe they are doing something right or they don't but they insist on it to avoid feeling guilt. Either way it's better than a random guy who wants to conquer the world or worse.
  11. I think he meant playing as both when multiclassing. There is a disposition conflict since Bleak Walkers favor cruel and Berath priests condemn it. I thought the devs were already working on that. Did I misunderstand it?
  12. I don't know all the options in that dialogue because I don't have high religion and insight, but I think with intimidate or bluff I suggested the dragon fight the Beast. I hoped I could help, but by the time I got there their fight was done. Edit: as others are saying, I think I convinced the dragon with high metaphysics (13).
  13. Yes, this is a much better description than what I wrote above. More than faith in a god, the faith in the ideals that they represent. And as Iovara or someone else said, ideals are very strong.
  14. I didn't know that thread. This is very interesting.
  15. When I replayed with my first character to do the White March, I was surprised with the ending slide that showed that I didn't kill the sky dragon. I thought I had forced things so that I wouldn't miss a fight, but I probably did it and then reloaded to act as a benevolent character should. These encounters were interesting because you had more options than simply fighting and getting a treasure.
  16. On the bright side, this would mean we can sacrifice Jar Jar to Skaen. I could live with the -1 to intelligence his Effigy's Resentment would give. That is a good point. Even benevolent characters would do it.
  17. Yes, there has been plenty of discussion about Vela. Maybe they'll add some lines later. Dealing with Harmke later is a very good reasoning. You can always pretend it didn't work out after the game ended. I had murdered Adaryc's men and still convinced him to make an alliance when I played as a Bleak Walker (and I did the same with the ogres). I guess people do respect a strong Bleak Walker. And my good character used stealth. So when I played with my pirate I decided to murder everyone and imagined that the character wouldn't have the patience necessary to talk Adaryc into an alliance. That's why I killed him. I don't remember how exactly it happened, but I think my character didn't have patience with Llengrath either. And she was not very good with diplomacy...
  18. It could be worse. Imagine if Disney bought Obsidian. PoE3 companions would be: Goofy, Iron Man, Mr. Incredible and Jar Jar Binks.
